I like this author. Her books are quick reads, quirky, and fun. I particularly like her missing persons books, but this book is a good one, too, and longer than most. One story, at least, is repeated but that's OK. She is writing better, too, with fewer mistakes, or maybe she has a better editor and/or proof reader. In any case, I enjoyed this book and always get ebooks by her when they come out.
Most of the stories were entirely fresh and new to me, but all had that simple quality of authenticity ! The writing was also clear and easy to read, focusing on the narration and getting the important and salient facts ( ? ) down without unnecessarily adding grandizement ( ? ) !
Some intriguing stories let down by confusing and repetitive text. Also at least one story lifted straight out of another of the authors books, again with no editing.
This author tells some stories I’ve never heard, and shes fleshed out some well-known ones with juicy tidbits. She keeps it moving with various types of tales.
