My life has been served to me on a gold platter to be devoured by my silver spoon.

Money, money, and more money. It’s the backbone of the Goddard name. I’m the only son, so it’s all mine for the taking.

But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want more, yet nothing seems to satisfy me.

My father has made sure I become a part of The Elite Seven. Where most candidates are chosen, I was given my place. Everything comes at a price, though. Luckily, I can afford any price—no one has more money than God.

The Elite Seven have their initiations. My assignment is personal and beneath me: steal a car and send a warning. It’ll hurt my best friend in the process, but we both made a pact going into this. There’s no line we won’t cross.

My task makes an ugly turn and I nearly take a life. Such a small, unimportant person—someone no one would even notice was gone. She’s a problem my money and power can easily sweep under the rug.

It’s what my father wants. It’s what my brothers want. But when she finally opens those big, innocent brown eyes, I realize I’ve found what I’ve been searching for my entire life. I don’t want my little problem to disappear…I want to keep her.

Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak—they’re for The Elite.

Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy.
I am Baxter Samuel Goddard V.
I am Gluttony.

A-maz-ing!!
Gluttony is book 5 in the Elite Series and it cannot be read as a standalone since each story is interconnected. In addition, each book reveals past secrets and presents new developments.
This series has become my favorite for 2019 as each book keeps getting better!
However...
Gluttony... is in a class of its own!!!
More intense, more twisted and more suspenseful, this installment was totally unputdownable!
Gluttony aka “God”, shows us why he’s earned the name “God,”!
From page one, I was immediately immersed in this God’s story. We’ve seen glimpses of his story and his larger than life personality.
Now we get his full story, his secrets, his strengths and his weaknesses!
We learn why his sin fits him so perfectly.
There are so many sides to God’s character. He’s a deeply flawed, deeply dark, complex and complicated character.
Gluttony... his task is the sin of excess.
His sin fits him because of his past and his future plans.
But can he survive his sin?
Must. Read to find out!!
4.5 stars!

I've been dying to know Gluttony. I thought he'd be another poor little rich boy, petulant and entitled, and maybe his story would have a weird twist like the others. But his story was so much more than what I expected. God had it all - money, good looks, material goods - and his life was made. But God was living in pain. He was insecure and full of self-hatred and the lengths he went to in order to deal with his issues made my heart hurt. He was selfish... and then he wasn't. This story was all about God's growth as a person and the most horrific event that ended up changing his life for the better.

I loved this story! Webster gave me what I've been praying for. I even got a huge glimpse into Sloth's character and I'm excited to see what he's all about. Shoot, I've been intrigued by the guy who always finds a way to be there when people need him. He's connected in ways I can't even begin to understand and I'm excited to learn what makes him tick.

Is that a bird? A plane? Nope, that's K Webster hitting this shit right out the damn park!!

We all know the issues with this series. We know that it's kinda gone off the rails. Well, K Webster put that bitch back on the track!

FINALLY! A book worthy of (almost) 5-Stars. I have been barely hanging on with this series. What started out promising had gone all pear-shaped. With this book K Webster has given me hope it will wrap up on a high note.

description
This was certainly the best book of the series so far. It was on the longer side. We had minimal repetition. It moved the story forward. Although I felt the Elite (task) part took a backseat to the romance. That wasn't a bad thing as the rest of the books fell short in that regard, so it was a welcome change of pace to actually get a romance that had meat to it. The overall plot and characters also fit the sin of GLUTTONY perfectly. The plot itself also had depth. God's character was well developed. Zemira was probably the most developed (and likable) heroine of the series. It had some heat. No OW drama, but unfortunately (for me) there was still an OW sex scene. I thought it was pretty pointless, but then again, I've thought ALL the OW sex scenes in this series have been pointless and gratuitous. That said, at least in this one it happened right at the start and weeks before he meets the heroine.  Last, it wrapped up in a rather sweet ending that "I" loved, but was maybe a bit weird considering the overall tone of the series.

TRIGGERS: I'm just adding this because this is one of the few things that can trigger me for personal reasons. So I appreciate a heads-up when a book has this topic.

***4 "God works in mysterious ways!!!"stars***

"I'm the son, the heir, the golden fucking egg...
I'm not just anyone. I'm God.
And one day, it'll be me making all the rules."

Mmmm... After the previous book who made me wild and furious, this book came along and i'm feeling finally satisfaction!!!
Yes, this book was good and i enjoyed it very much!!!
Now, i don't really how the rest of the books will work after all, since the postponing and rewriting of Greed, but i really can not wait!!!
This book had a closure in a way, something that we didn't get in the previous books and i'm really wondering how the rest of the books will play out...

"It doesn't end with Lillian..."
"No... It ends with us."

Here came God's turn!!! A man whom had intrigued me from the first book and honestly, i wasn't expecting anything in his story...
Yep, he was spoiled and he was literally bathing in money... He was cocky, arrogant, loyal, but he was drowning and it was screaming for miles!!!!
God didn't need Elite as some of the previous boys needed, but he did it only for his best friend's sake!!!!
And then, a strange task came to him and everything turned upside down...

"Go to hell, God."
"I'm already there,Z... I'm in hell and I don't know how to get out."

Zemira was a girl that was fighting very hard for a better life and a spoiled, rich boy tumble into her life and took everything away from her... She should hate him, but he is very persistent and she can't kick him out of her life... even though that she should!!!
She can see how lost he is and maybe she can help him...
Maybe they both can help each other...

"I think the real God has a sick sense of humor because this God calls to me. This God needs me. And for the life of me, I can't understand why I have this strange tugging inside me that says I think I need him too."

Their story started very unortodox, but it was refreshing in a way...
They had a very rocky and scetchy beginning... Everything were hanging from a thread...
Z something did inside of God and he cling into her...
He became a different man, but not without a big effort and support from her...
They were so good for each other...

“I hate how we got here, but I’m not hating that we’re here.”

"Me, the girl with nothing, gave the man with everything something worth having: love."

Literally, i wasn't expecting God to be like that... I wasn't imagining what he was going through because of his father's obsessions... I wasn't preparing for the bad that he was causing to himself...
Yep, he had money, but he had also some serious freakin' issues!!!!
A great mistake because of the Elite and a damaged girl was all that he was needing to wake up and change his life...
I really liked him when he was around Z.... even though his was a little bit too much!!!! LOL!

"I will never be like that gluttonous pig. Fucking never."

"Zemira is in my blood, in my veins, in my soul.
Burning through me like lava- hot and explosive. Changing me. Evolving me. Hiding the ugly parts and molding me into something new.
I yearn to be new and whole and better.
I crave the tranform into someone a girl like Zemira deserves."

As for his girl??? She was a hidden diamond... I liked her personality very much and i liked that she had the courage to put up with God's extravagant character...
I appreciated her for not changing because of God's spoiled ways and i liked her for how she stood beside him and tried to help him...

"God is becoming worse than any addiction a person could have. He’s a sickness. An infection... Whatever sickness he is, I want to make it mine."

“Something draws me to him. I feel connected in a way I can’t explain. It scares me because of who he is and what he’s done. Yet I can’t stop it. I want to fix him. I’m the one with the broken body and the broken spirit, but he’s the one with a flickering soul. Like, at any moment, he might blink out and fade out of existence. And dammit, I just feel like that tiny little flame of his needs some stoking. I want to be the one to show him he’s more than these insecure feelings and self-doubt.”

What about the rest of the crew??? I liked how close the boys are becoming in each book!!! And i can't wait more about Sloth and Greed... I'm also waiting like a crazy person for the Elite to get vanished from the map, because they are getting on my nerves!!!
Yes, there was a kind of satisfaction in someone's finale, but now, i'm more curious than before...
And i need some closure with fuckin' Sebastian and Sabella!!!!
Oh, did i mention how disgusting was God's father??? Ewwwwwwwww....

"Family... Sometimes the ones we choose are better than the ones whose blood we share."

"Sirens can be heard in the far distance.
Our time here is limited...
But the message is clear: No. One. Fucks. With. My. Brothers."

Baxter Samuel Goddard the Fifth a.k.a. God knew nothing but luxury since the day he opened up his eyes. Growing up in the Goddard household, excessiveness was the only way to live. Being an Elite was practically his birthright. But his simple task became a complication when he unwittingly crashed into Zemira Coleman’s life and changed the course of their futures.

“Luck is for dumbasses. It’s called money, man. You should try it sometime.”

God was my favorite since I first met him in book 1. In this book, he showed a completely different side - the serious, responsible side and heartbreaking insecurity. Also, I’ve always loved the loyalty he showed to those he cared for. While I liked this different God, I also wanted more of the old God.

I hate that he’s my literal rock to lean on. He did this to me, and I have become dependent on him.

Zemira was the only heroine that I actually liked in this series. Her past and her philosophy in life were completely different from God. I loved how both of them helped each other to be the better version of themselves and the romantic element was the most developed in this series so far.

God is becoming worse than any addiction a person could have. He’s a sickness. An infection. And as I watch him effortlessly start a fire, his beautiful smile in place, I realize I want to lick him, inhale him, make love to him. Whatever sickness he is, I want to make it mine.

I’m intrigued by how the series storyline evolving. Things were changing gears and the players were scrambling to adapt in order to stay at the top. Though I wanted to know more of the significance of his task, I’m glad that the word gluttony was truly embodied in the story.

Gluttony is a story of power and how it steered one’s life. I’m looking forward to the next book of this series.

Note: I wish certain things concerning the main characters didn’t happen towards the end of the book. It’s a personal turn-off of mine and I felt it’s especially not suitable for this book.

Gluttony was kind of like a breath of fresh air when it comes to The Elite Seven series. This book quickly became one of my favorites and I was really happy with the insight it gave into the society. It had more of a romantic vibe to it as well, which I actually really enjoyed and thought it added some intrigue to the book. More than that it moved up forward within the society plotline, making it very captivating as I waiting with each turn of the page to find out what secrets were going to be revealed about it's members. I was honestly starting to think that this series wasn't going anywhere since we seemed to just keep getting the same scenes over and over again, so to say I was happy with the way this book took us deeper into the mystery of The Elite Seven is kind of an understatement.

God was out main focus for this book and all I can really say is that the boy's got issues. But I actually liked him and his cocky attitude. Especially when it was him pushing his way into Zemira's life and helping her. He could easily have been a character that I hated and wanted only to punch in the face, which I'm not going to lie there were some moments that he had me feeling a little animosity towards him, but for the most part we got to see him being a decent person and I really enjoyed it.

Overall, this book has me feeling good about what's to come from this series and it's ending so I'm looking forward to the next ones.

K. Webster delivered an enthralling installment featuring a lead character who embodied his assigned sin and was more complex than expected, confronted unexpected matters within a secret society and established a relationship that flourished and bloomed. Gluttony maintained a perfect balance of romance and intrigue, furthering the story-line surrounding the Elite Seven without disrupting the momentum or disregarding the burgeoning relationship between God and Zemira.

“I hate how we got here, but I’m not hating that we’re here.”

I assumed nothing more than some entitled, self-absorbed and conceited asshole in Baxter Goddard, but his character captured my attention, leaving me riveted and captivated. Hidden complexity is waiting to be discovered beneath his superficial over-indulgent and materialistic personality, an undeniable pleasant surprise that made this story great. Brimming with self-hatred and intense insecurity, God expressed selfishness and selflessness in equal measure. But, Gluttony goes beyond this—it focuses on God’s growth as he traverses the ramifications of destroying someone’s life… almost.

Zemira is in my blood, in my veins, in my soul.
Burning through me like lava—hot and explosive. Changing me. Evolving me. Hiding the ugly parts and molding me into something new.
I yearn to be new and whole and better.
I crave to transform into someone a girl like Zemira deserves.

Zemira Coleman is perhaps my favourite heroine in this series. Despite the hardships she has experienced, Zemira’s strength, outlook and philosophies are awe-inspiring. Her kindness and stability manage to balance God’s chaotic, perturbed life, the perfect counter and lesson that exhibits there’s more to life than money and power. She's also, quite easily, the only developed character within this series. Unorthodox, though somewhat romantic—perhaps because it is the only developed romance in this series—God and Zemira have a connection that is unique and refreshing as they inspire and support each other through difficult situations.

Me, the girl with nothing, gave the man with everything something worth having: love.

Gluttony transcended my expectations, showcasing what this series should have achieved. K. Webster's writing is fantastic, a combination of compelling and enthralling, as she balances the romance and darkness within a shorter format without wavering. Shame we needed to wait five sequels to have this moment.

❝ You tried to hurt God and now you have to deal with Satan.

Gluttony k webster

Samuel Goddard (God); has been a character I was so intrigued and excited to know more about since the beginning of the series.  His story was definitely not what I was expecting which made this book so interesting to me.   God grew up in a family full of wealth and basically anything he ever wanted he had.  One thing he didn't know he needed was for someone to truly care about him and care for his well being.

❝ I'm the son, the heir, the golden fucking egg...I'm not just anyone.  I'm God.  And one day, it'll be me making all the rules.

When he was giving his task; God thought it was the easiest thing in the world.  He accomplished what was requested of him except his life was completely changed after that night.  He meets Zemira Coleman; a girl who grew up with no parents and the circumstances made both of them need each other.

❝ I think the real God has a sick sense of humor because this God calls to me.  This God needs me.  And for the life of me, I can't understand why I have this strange tugging inside me that says I think I need him too.

I really liked this story and the way the author put these two characters together.  I wouldn't have ever expected one awful night to turn out that way.   The snake scene will be one horrific chapter I will forever have in my mind and I might have wanted to puke once or twice while typing this hahaha but oh my gosh it was shocking and bloody crazy good.

Gluttony is book five in the elite series and is about power and how to handle what you have and use it wisely.  I am so excited to continue the series and see what else is to come.  The teaser at the end of the book had me screaming with so many questions and not enough answers.  I just hope for more action and suspense in the next two books to come.

GLUTTONY by K.Webster
GENRE: Dark Romance
NARRATION: Dual POV
BOOK DETAILS: Book#5 in the Elite Seven Series

MY REVIEW

This is Baxter Goddard AKA God & Gluttony story.

Zemira Coleman an orphan who is trying to better her life through sacrifice and hard work, is the complete opposite to the entitled and wealthy Baxter. He has not had to earn anything in his life until Zemira. Now he must earn her forgiveness.

God is a trouble character, desperate to not be like his greedy and gluttonous father. Although he still indulges in the luxuries and power that his father’s name and status in the elite provides, there is a clear difference between them. God shows us he can show remorse and compassion unlike his father.

Zamira brought out the better side in God and despite her pushing him away he still persisted in helping her. Their chemistry is hot, their encounters alluring and their story addictive.

K Webster did a brilliant job in portraying God into his character of Gluttony and aligning all the details with the previous books in this series making the story flow smoothly. This is definitely one of my favorites in the series to date.

“I hate how we got here, but I’m not hating that we’re here.”

Although he wasn’t the main character in LUST, God stood out in that very first installment. Compared to his six brothers, he shined brightest from the very beginning. I knew he would be one of, if not my absolute favorite character of the 7, and WOW, was his book worth waiting for!!! There is sooooo much more to Goddard than what we see in the first four books! He’s not just that wild, extravagant party boy, he’s a man with issues that run incredibly deep (making him that much more interesting)!!! My point is, this book was not just entertaining and fun but Goddard touched my soul. Webster knocked me off my feet once again!!!!

The only reason I picked up this book is because it is written by Miss Webster. Like many medocre NA romance, the book is lacking in structure.

The plot seems to be jumble around. I honestly get really confuse. The chemistry is lukewarm with biggest confusion why Baxter love Z. It feels just suddenly without any reaaon, Baxter fall in love.

The book ia not very bad nor very good. It is still readable. Still have that addicting feeling.

Baxter Samuel Goddard V, known as God, was raised with a sense of entitlement and luxury due to his family’s status as one of the wealthiest in the world. Being the sole heir, God knew the path he was going to take and was prepared for the inevitable until becoming a member of the Elite and crashing into Zemira Coleman’s life.

“Money is the root of all evil.” My words are meant to hurt him. He simply shrugs. “It’s the only thing I have. I suppose that makes God the devil.”

Told in dual POV, the plot takes an interesting turn from the outset which shows God’s true self and inner conflict. As the dynamic between God and Zemira offers a unique perspective to these characters, it also leads to a solid connection despite their circumstances.

“The way he tapped into my soul and had a little taste. Maybe a bad man needs a taste of a little good.”

From the beginning of this series, I was intrigued by God’s personality, but I did not expect such thoughtful depth and it richened his character. As for Zemira, she is strong despite the adversity she had to overcome and I truly enjoyed her addition to the series. Of course, the ongoing plot continues to evolve with some surprises but all is ultimately pointing to the end game.

Gluttony is about the multiple faces of privilege and the disadvantaged.

"Gluttony (Latin: gula, derived from the Latin gluttire meaning "to gulp down or swallow") means over-indulgence and over-consumption of food, drink, or wealth items, particularly as status symbols."

"And no one has more money than God." -God

The title of this amazing story as well as the rich hero's name says it all: Baxter Samuel Goddard V aka God!

The feels were all over the place because "Gluttony (The Elite Seven, #5)" by K. Webster was such a twisted and dark, good read!

"Fucking Pride. He got the sin that should have been mine. I grit my teeth as I remember back to initiation night when I was given gluttony. All I could think about was my father’s fat fucking face sneering at me. While I sort of get it—excess and overindulgence and all that shit—it still pisses me off. It fucking embarrassed me in front of those other assholes." -God

#wakeupcall #consequences

“Son, you really are that naïve, aren’t you? Our actions have consequences. And to remain on top, we have to eliminate those consequences,” he says coolly. “I have my people looking into the girl.” -Four

"Dear Real God, I think to myself, if you’re listening, I have to confess I fucked up. I mean, I didn’t mean to hurt her. She’s innocent. She’s one of yours. Can’t you, like, fix her or something and we can all go back to normal? I can shed the guilt and move on with my life. Thanks, Fucked-Up God."
-God

After reading Gluttony, I will read this entire series for sure because God and Zemira's story was no joke!

Webster revved it up with this unexpected addition to the series! God was not was I was expecting, yet everything I didn't know I needed. You can't help but fall head over heels for this guy. His story was achingly good, you will root from start to finish, hoping God gets some love in his life. I'm rubbing my chest as I write this. All the characters have been twisted in a way, but God's story really dug deep with the emotions. Zemira was like I said, unexpected and everything. The connection was on point, almost begging to be devoured by the masses. Not one ounce of drama, pure devotion poured from the these two characters. Sweetly Twisted! God's way of courting had me rolling on the floor. No fucks were given, no filter, no holding back. He was such a committed nurturer. Sigh! And now I must up the star rating on my review because I have to, I often get carried away with my reviews and then re-think my rating. I really loved the whole dynamic between God and Z. It was gut-wrenching and at the same time, absolutely beautiful!

"He’s in my brain, in my heart, in my bones. I like him there. No, I love him there. I want him to swallow me whole."

The storyline has EXPLODED! Revenge will be handed down, I was throughly satisfied with the torture. Trust me. Fans of the Elite will be fist bumping. For real. I don't wanna say much in fear of spoiling. I was smiling from ear to ear. Booyah, Bitch! There's a hint to Sloth's story and of course some closure for previous books. Everything is starting to come full circle in this twisted game, you do not wanna miss this one! I love that each author brings their own style, adds their own twist.

This was a breath of fresh air into the series and I cannot wait for the next book!

This is a much better book compared to the previous two so far in this series. I loved that the author focused on the developing relationship between God and Z. It was the better choice because the two previous books there was too many things going on and not enough time to have a smooth storyline. I recommend this book!

Samuel Goddard is young when he first realizes his money may give him material things, but it doesn't necessarily give him happiness. Oh sure, he's got material things coming out his ass, but self confidence, stability, and happiness? Nowhere to be found. But he can fake it and hide his deeply insecure nature because he's God after all. Then he's handed his task to obtain entry into The Elite Seven. And more significantly, he meets HER. The goddess that he falls head over ass for. Can she heal him? Can God have his goddess?

My God, *wink wink* Gluttony is the story I've been waiting for in this series! It's got a seriously flawed, but definitely redeemable, hero, a fantastic, substantial heroine, and for once, the romance isn't lacking. I'm still not reading The Elite Seven series for the romance, but it was really nice to finally get a story with some semblance of romance in it. And to get a story with characters who aren't total douchewads, who are capable of some tenderness and love. Yes, there's still violence and depravity, this is a series about the seven deadly sins after all, but it's got some softer emotions and softer sides to balance out the violence and all the sinning going on. And God is by far my favorite character so far in this series. He's so layered, so much more like an average person with all his insecurities and his flaws, but one willing to work on becoming a better man. Of course there's a cliffhanger, and we're left with even more questions about how the society is working behind the scenes, and what Rush's (Sloth) story is going to be like, but the story of the secret society is moved much further this time. All in all, I'd say that if you've given up on this series, do come back to it and pick up Gluttony. You'll definitely find yourself falling back in love with The Elite Seven series if you dive into God's story.

4.5 Stars ~ Jess

I'm not sure how to even start this.

I love this series, the whole concept has sucked me in and with each book I become a little more entrenched in this messed up society. All of the previous books need to be read as this story has been unfolding over the course of these books and you need to understand certain things that are mentioned and certain scenarios to get the full picture.

All that being said, Gluttony, so far, has been my favorite book. I had expectations of who Baxter Goddard the fifth was going to be and I was wrong. So completely wrong about him. I thought I knew who this arrogant, spoiled rich kid was until I didn't. God is nothing like I thought. While he is still an arrogant, spoiled, rich kid, he is also broken and damaged. His task, he thought was a piece of cake, and then his whole world imploded.

Zemira is a simple, yet lovely girl. By simple I mean she doesn't ask for anything, she lives within her means and there is nothing extravagant about her. She works hard, she studies, she does her best to get by. Until her life is literally flipped on its head. Not only she broken but a creepy stalker has inserted himself into her life.

These two characters are both broken, just not in the same way. One who does things in excess and another who lives for the great views. This story had a lot of redemption and personal growth but also filled with this twisted Elite story that just keeps getting more messed up. K Webster can weave a tale and the darkness that seeps into this book has her unique touch all over it. I was drawn in gobbled this book down. We are again let in place that needs some explanation and I am thoroughly intrigued about where this is going to go.

Oh. My. GOD!! Literally.

THIS BOOK. I feel like I've died and gone to heaven.

Indeed, God definitely does work in mysterious ways… and so does K. Webster! This lady just kicked up this twisted series a few notches with Baxter Samuel Goddard V aka “God” and LIT IT UP.

Gluttony was a fantastic addition to The Elite Seven and really moves the ongoing and interconnecting plots forward. It was a perfect mix of a character driven plot with half-Elite/half-romance, giving us the best this series has to offer.

I’ve been dying to get my hands on this book, not only because one of my favorite authors was tasked with his character, but God has had my curiosity piqued since the very first book in this series, being Rhett’s (Lust) best friend. I was intrigued by the man that seemed to have it all… but does he really?

K Webster adds so much depth with the complexities of God’s character, revealing the deep emotional issues and self-hatred that plagues him. True to his sin, he’s indulgent in everything to the extreme yet his gluttonous ways sicken him, but it’s in his nature and excess is ingrained in his DNA so he doesn’t know how to stop. That is, until his task for the Elite goes awry and the unexpected happens, sending him crashing straight into a spunky little spitfire by the name of Zemira that changes the course of his life.

And oh the FEELS with God and Zemira! This tiny little sassy thang, was a godsend. I adored her character! Strong-willed and not intimidated by a rich and powerful man like God, was so perfect for him. She was the absolute crutch that he needed in his life to show him that he was worth more than the things he could buy with money and the way he protected and took care of her had me melting into a puddle of mush.

description

But shit is definitely going down in The Elite y'all.. Oh man, I was literally bursting by the end of the book from what happened! I won’t spoil it, but let’s just say a certain someone gets exactly what they deserve.

After K. Webster has completely wowed me with God’s book and setting up the plot for what’s to come, I am super excited for the next two books that will bring this explosive and addicting series to an end *sad face*. I’m telling you guys, if you haven’t started on this series yet… DO IT NOW!!

Gluttony is without a doubt remarkable and enthralling. It is the first five star read for me from The Elite Seven series. I f*cking loved everything about it. K Webster has knocked me over with this book.

Baxter Samuel Goddard V, aka God, has been granted with the sin gluttony. From the previous books, you can see that this is not the sin God was interested in. He was also not interested in The Elite and the only reason he is in this group is because of his Rhett. Someone he considers a brother.
God does everything in excess. He also likes everything in abundance. No one says no to God. He doesn’t need The Elite. The Elite needs him but for the moment he will indulge them. The task that is assigned to him is so something that changes his life forever. It brings Zemira Coleman into his life. He has destroyed her life and guilt is a new feeling for him. Zemira Coleman has definitely left a lasting impression on him and she will undeniably change his life.

God was so different than I imagined. He was portrayed as such a manwhore who loves partying and not someone who will succumb to the drug that is love but he was so damn sweet and thoughtful. He gave 100% to his girl and did not do wrong by her. He was attentive and caring and I absolutely loved him. K Webster has woven a spell with this book. This book is told in dual POV and Zemira is also the perfect heroine. She brought out the best in God and she was in his corner every step of the way. He did not lie to her or break her heart. He was himself with her and so fiercely protective. I was so scared to read this because of God’s ability to over indulge in everything including his woman but this book was everything I hoped for and more. I can’t believe I was afraid of you God but you are by far my favorite Elite member. Zemira and God are my OTP. #couplegoals

K Webster, you are indeed a legend and an exceptional writer.

Three and a half is generous

I really wanted to love this book. God has been a wonderful character since book one of The Elite Seven series so when he gets his own book I should be in heaven right? Wrong, it certainly wasn’t reading hell but it was lacking for me.

I don’t like giving spoilers so I will try hard not to while stating my issues.

The first really has to do with the entire series. I know they want the books released with in a few weeks of each other (and I don’t want to get into the whole switching the book order) but sometimes less than 250 pages isn’t enough to really flesh out the story. I get it keep it short and keep readers coming back. Sorry this book especially could have used some more pages.

God and Z have some serious issues that were glossed over. I know we are talking about the Elite and that is the main focus but God is a fan favorite and delving more into his personal issues would have be great. It is an issue that is rarely talked about with men and this was a chance to shine more than a pen light on the topic. Z’s recovery was also glossed over. When the Elite is over there needs to be a God and Z sequel about codependents.

Things I liked, Z was a POC and she was just accepted, no racial slurs. Ok Lillian called her Vegetable Girl but it had nothing to do with race or ethnicity. Some of the characters we loved to hate got what was coming to them. We got to see behind God’s facade to the real man and see a tenderness not not with Z but his friendships.

Overall I liked the book, and recommend it to others, the book still provides more of the meta arc of the Elite, just not enough detail in God’s character arc for me.

K Webster nailed it! Gluttony was simply AMAZING. From the very beginning of the series I was curious about God’s story and what I’ve read exceeded my wildest expectations. I dare even say that this is the best part of The Elite Seven so far. And just as the sin of Baxter Samuel Goddard V led to the tragedy at the beginning of the book, so later because of it he found something that no money could buy.

God... An heir to the fortune and son of the most influential man in New Orleans. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and apparently he can have everything with a snap of his finger. Therefore, I’m very satisfied that K Webster has decided to slightly cloud his perfect facade. God is struggling with something that’s unimaginable when you think of a guy with his position. I also loved the way he was with Zemira. Still cocky and somewhat conceited, but also more tender and a little bit uncertain. Zemira was exactly what he needed – a wake-up call and the proof that there are more important things in life than power and money. I’m glad that this girl made him work to deserve her. And as a heroine she was just wonderful. Despite the hard start the girl is down to earth and works hard to achieve anything. She could take advantage of God's position, but instead of climbing on his back she brings him down to earth.

Gluttony is a great installment in The Elite Seven series. K Webster has done an amazing job in creating the plot and characters. I absorbed the whole story at one sitting and I’m very pleased with the turn of events that took place in this book. I can’t wait to read the remaining parts in this series!

Following Envy's book, which really turned this series on its head, I was curious how the remaining stories would be impacted. And leave it to K. Webster to shake things up once again!

This is now my favorite book of the series. It is filed with a lot of unexpected emotion - all consuming regret, self loathing, and a desperation to right one's wrongs.

We are first introduced to Baxter "God" Goddard in the first book, Lust, as Rhett's BFF. I never cared for him. His extreme wealth led him to be thoughtless in his actions, as money could always save him. And that theme carries through in this book, when he is given his Elite challenge, and things take a horrific turn for one unfortunate girl.

What surprised me was how quickly God changed. The guilt in instantaneous (HE DOES HAVE A SOUL AFTER ALL!!!) and his frantic desire to fix things, rather than make them disappear, as he father would have preferred, felt genuine. This author made me care for him. And I always love a good redemption story.

I always thought God's name was an odd one for this series, but the author clearly has fun using it, the first being when the heroine, Zemira Coleman, mistakenly believes she's in heaven, and God himself is before her.

”I can fix anything. God works in mysterious ways…”

This story breaks from the formula of previous books in this series (yes, I'm not counting Envy's story for obvious reasons). The relationship between God and Zemira is the slowest to build, but for the that reason, it felt the most believable. I loved God's commitment to helping Zemira, no matter how many times she told him she hated him. As for Zemira, I understood why she pushed back, but with time, came to realize that God's feeling were real, and he wasn't faking things to avoid a lawsuit.

“I hate how we got here, but I’m not hating that we’re here.”

The sin of Gluttony took a while for me to understand in respect to God. But eventually I realized that God took everything he did to excess. He didn't do anything with moderation.

”I’m sorry I got carried away,” he mutters against my neck. “It’s in my nature. I overdo…everything.”

This book had less of a storyline in regards to the Elite, and I thought that was ok. However, the problems with Envy are addressed in to say this group of brothers will get their payback in due time. And there is karma for one other member of the Elite. HALLELUJAH! (Also, gag! The scene is a gruesome one).

The author really brought her A-game to this installment and revived it in a big way. With two books left in the series, I'm looking forward to seeing how things wrap up.

***5 ‘God Works In Mysterious Ways’ Stars***

So. Damn. Good!!

Not that I’m really all that surprised, I am a #fangirl of the author afterall, but this one gave me all the goodness! It still had that chaotic crazy vibe that has defined this series thus far, but I got the the swoons...Yes, the swoons, BIG time and was quite unhappy when my time with God and Z was over.

God was the one who grabbed my attention from the very beginning. The need to get into his head and find out what made him tick was so strong because I knew there was so much more to him in how he interacted with everyone and I was proven right! This man is a GOOD man. Yes, he has more money than he knows what to do with and the power his last name holds ~ and which he has to issue wielding ~ is insane (which makes calling him God quite appropriate) but to finally see beneath it and watch him evolve...well, lets just say I simply ADORE him. And then there is Z. I adored her. She is sweet, sassy and has a good, genuine heart and has this strength that comes out in her actions and will to live and become more than her past.

To say their journey to their HEA had a rocky start is an understatement, considering God was behind the wheel of the vehicle that hit Z, but that started a series of events that not only placed them firmly in each others lives, but changed them in ways neither could have imagined and I loved every minute of it. I swooned and melted as God became the the protective alpha AF male for Z and couldn’t help but smile and sigh as Z stood her ground all the while becoming not only the rock God didn’t know he needed, but also his safe place to land. The smexy between was sensuous and sweet and where they ended up was perfect!

As I said in the beginning, this series has its own brand of chaotic and crazy and Gluttony was no different, because there were a couple of things that even had me going “Whoa” but it also brings other things under a semblance of control and gives a glimpse of where the conclusion of certain issues and situations may be headed...may be. And as for the rest of the Seven, I really enjoyed watching as they became a little more of a cohesive unit, there are still issues, but we get to see more of a brotherhood forming between them all, and while God has been my favorite, Rush aka Sloth hasn’t been too far behind and I cannot wait to get my hands on his book...thankfully I won’t have to wait too much longer!

Note: This is not a standalone. The series needs to be read in order.

I was really worried that series was going to fall down the gutter after the last few reads. But I should have known K. Webster would reign that shit back in and set us back on track and truly give us what we want and need.

Gluttony truly lives up to the sin. God has never wanted for anything. He's seen firsthand how easily money controls and that nothing is off limits. His father's greed and gluttonous ways have filtered down to God and he tries his best to never become the man his father is. However, he knows that he has an obsessive personality so it's hard to never binge on something since everything comes so easily for the Goddard family.

K. Webster does a great job of moving the plot along, having Gluttony/God perform his task as part of The Elite and still build a decent plot between God and Zemira. I truly enjoyed this book the most so far as it feels that it fleshed out well and kept things moving along.

Even though I did not care that the romance took the stronger stance in this one, it was the best fleshed out romance so far in the series. Zemira helps God understand and work out his issues, all the while understanding about The Elite and what they do. I could see how things developed between them so naturally and there wasn't any extra outside drama.

Overall, I have to say that this the best book in the series so far. I am curious as to what the next two books will be about and how this all pans out in the end.

Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy.
I am Baxter Samuel Goddard V.
I am GLUTTONY

I've been looking forward to God's story and was not disappointed at all. We meet God as someone who lives up to sin because he lives a gluttonous life, full of excess and extravagance, while in fact he is miserable and lonely.

Joining the Elite only because it's what Rhett wanted, God sets out to do his task but it goes horribly wrong.

Meeting Zemira and being there for here makes God realise that he has been living a empty and shallow life, and even meeting her in the most horrible way the vows to help her heal and become whole again. Destiny had a screwed-up way of bringing two people together.

I’m the son, the heir, the golden fucking egg.

While Four is a disgusting Pig, I did love his no-nonsense attitude It’s the Goddard way. Money talks. The Goddard name screams. And every single person in this town listens.
Besides food, Four lives for his son, “You played your wicked games. But the moment you fucked with my son, you signed your death warrant.” smoothing over all his problems and making sure God gets what he wants “Give the boy what he wants”

But the biggest shock? “Bring me the viper, son.”. While I was extremely satisfied with that I do wonder what this will do with the rest of the series. I'm guessing there will be repercussions from a very likeable source “My money is the king of New Orleans. Every single facet of your life has been dipped in Goddard gold. If we’re being honest here, you’re the extension of me. Not the other way around.”

I was very much emerged in God's story and was pleased to see a lot more of the other brothers. This too ends with a bang and I'm very much looking forward to the sixth book Sloth.
And again, I think we will be very much surprised with the ending of the series, that looks like to be having a major twist.
No. One. Fucks. With. My. Brothers.

“My life has been served to me on a gold platter to be devoured by my silver spoon.”

4.5 stars!
Yes! Finally God’s book. I have been waiting for this book ever since I read LUST and K Webster didn’t disappoint.

God was everything I wanted him to be. Powerful, sexy, broken, confident, messed up in the head and invincible. Or so he thinks.

This book was brilliant because it focused a lot on God’s growth and the character development was written amazingly. God had deep rooted issues that explain his “give no fucks” attitude and I couldn’t help but fall in love with him more because of it.

This has been my favourite book of the series so far... Epic!!

Bring on Sloth!!
