Things are heating up for House Blut. It’s obvious someone is trying to ruin their business, and now, someone is trying to kill Nymea. But who? And why?

Mea’s faith in her guard’s ability to keep her safe is unaltered, and the mystery of the attacks deepen when she starts receiving gifts --- pieces of her past --- that both help and confound her. And with Faerie reemerging from its dormant state, old flames return and new experiences are on the horizon. Including new guard and a new lady-in-waiting.

But the threat is there, however underlying, and Mea needs to deal with it before it gets out of hand, and hurts those she loves. Shades of the past collide with the present, and battle lines and loyalties will be drawn.

Because her inner circle is not secure.

Nymea, Princess of the Blood Court, is in a deep melancholy. She knows it's due to the loss of her two guards (see The Sleeping Court series), but there is something else, she feels it, like she feels the blood in her veins. Knowing that this is the reason doesn't settle her, and she's even more protective of her remaining guard, no matter that they are there to protect her. Too many things happening at once, leads her into danger, and a man from her past saves her. The Blood Court now knows that they are all in danger, and it's going to take everything and everyone to ferret out this issue, and handle it as only Nymea can.

With small glimpses of previous characters, and the introduction of several new ones, this series had me stay up way too late, and get up way too early to finish up what is an awesome story. I cannot wait for the next in this series, Aversion.

RIVEN. Enough said.

I absolutely loved this next installment in the Blood Court series. Mea's world is kind of turned on its head and she is faced with strive from an enemy that used to be a friend. You have to read this book for the simple pleasure that is Riven. We are introduced to him in the last book but now we get to see all the chemistry between himself and Nymea - and can I just say it is HOT! The characters get a bit more background to them which I love and Mea meets another one of her guards. My only complaint is that this book was not longer as I want more, but thankfully the wait is only a couple months to some more goodies. This book does end on a cliffhanger but its soo worth it.

..

I swear these two authors are going to give me a heart attack. I love when I can lose myself in a story and feel the emotional roller coaster. There's action, drama and sexual situations. Oh man. I had to take a break reading a few times, those scenes are hotter than fire. You see people from the previous series sleeping court so I loved that. And you see more of Nymea. More attitude, more control, just more everything. And the guard? Well, you'll have to read to see how that goes but oh man. I have chills from the emotions I felt reading this installment and dont know if I can wait for book 3. I feel like I need it now.

Hot damn… wasn’t sure how the Guard of Blood Court could get better, then Riven showed up!
As hot as Mea’s relationships with each of her men are, and hello red bikini!, I think my favorite part is the relationships between the Guard. There’s such a strong camaraderie between them and I love how Riven seamlessly fit into their dysfunctional little family.
I had predicted the cause of some of Mea’s strife, but very much enjoyed Mea’s plan to strike back. Plus the cameo appearance of Queen Verity and the other princesses.
On to book 3! And that sweet treat we got at the end. 😉 For once, it’s a good cliffy.

Have you read Vexed (The Blood Court Book 1)? If not, you really should read it before you read this one. This book thankfully starts right where Vexed left off. This is a smoking hot roller-coaster ride that will leave you breathless and wanting more, more, more. The mystery deepens and we get new players. An exciting addition to the series.

Not enough stars to give

You will literally be on the edge of your seat throughout this entire book. I cannot wait until the next book comes out to find out what happens next. I am absolutely loving the way you get to see into the Blood Court and all of the interactions with the guards. You can really see that each guard holds a different piece of Nymea's heart.

This series has grabbed a hold of me, and I'm fairly certain it will grab a hold of you! Each one unique in its own way, building the story up, action, adventure, and having small glimpses into the past to help understand the characters! And always leaving you wanting more!

Inception was a wonderful expansion to Mea and her guards story! The plot thickens and the twists are sexy and fun! I loved reading this and can't get enough of Mea! I want to be her when I grow up!

Blood Court Book Two.

After being saved by Riven, her newest guard, Nymea turns her attention to saving her company. She knows that someone is trying to destroy her, but are they human or fae? With her new location, Mea and Ryker focus on the company.

If you're looking for a story about fae integrating into the human world, this is the series for you!
