Rachael Stewart hits the ground running with her debut Dare introducing us to a couple who can deny it all they like, but business and pleasure can go together rather quite well.

description ...work was work. Sex was sex. Never should the two be mixed.”

With a good mix of sweet and spicy and a likeable power-couple who are as down-to-earth and relatable as they are wealthy and at the top of their game in business, who takes the lead is twisted on its head on more than one occasion as lines are blurred and Jennifer and Marcus go from strangers who share a night of passion, to finding themselves business partners.

description Maybe it’s that you’re forbidden territory now...”

If you’re looking for a steamy contemporary romance fix between two people who are equally hungry for one another but who also soon realise there’s no weakness in leaning on one another, then Mr One-Night Stand certainly ticks those boxes. I’ll be reserving my seat for Mr. Temptation in the summer.

description This kind of fun is worth fighting for.”

5☆ Sizzling Hot, Hot, Hot!!!

MR ONE-NIGHT STAND is part of the new Mills and Boon Dare series and I LOVED It!
It's Hot, Cheeky, Sexy, Fiery, Steamy, with a good dash of Romance and Characters that are not to be messed with!

Marcus is a powerful businessman who knows exactly what he wants and usually gets it. Feeling frustrated at the thought of being stood up by his new business partner he hangs around to see if they will show.

When Jennifer struts in, not knowing who she is meeting, she spots Marcus and something stirs inside her, mentally undressing him with her eyes she lures him in.
All Jennifer wants is one night of crazy. No names, no real talk, just wild, no-holds-barred sex.
Marcus is Happy to oblige!

Marcus doesn't bank on meeting a sexy stranger, he never imagines that it would lead to one hell of a night of steamy, passionate fun.
But it's just one night right?

I mean he wasn't to know the women he just had the best night with was his new business partner Jennifer!

We all know it never works out when you start mixing business with pleasure.
But what if the rules were No Strings attached. Just pure desire and fun?

Marcus and Jennifer's desire for one and other bubbles to the surface, it's clearly obvious this isn't going to just be a one night stand.
Both Marcus and Jennifer both have their flaws and issues. Neither will let their guard down, but one things for certain their attraction is like a magnet, powerful and strong.

I loved both Jennifer and Marcus, both deeply flawed, have issues with family, have commitment issues, but just cant keep away from each other.
It was so lovely to watch their relationship unravel. They certainly make a powerhouse couple!
I loved their sassy banter, Jennifer is a force to be reckoned with, she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to take charge, inside and out of the bedroom!

MR ONE-NIGHT STAND is a Steamy, Hot, Fun, Passionate story about relationships, Lust and desire, Working Relationships, Family Drama and a whole lot of sexy fun.
The Characters are so well written and believable, I was rooting for the both of them from the start.
The plot is enthralling, exciting, and flows along perfectly, be prepared to get very hot under the collar! As things get steamy very quickly.

If you enjoy your Romances with a sizzling hot erotic twist then you will absolutely love MR ONE-NIGHT STAND!
I can't wait to read more of Rachael's Dare books!

Thank you to Mills and Boon for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Crack? It wasn’t a bad way to put it. He certainly felt as if someone had ripped him apart and put him back together all wrong.

My Review:

Sizzle and snap, this lascivious story had my Kindle throwing off sparks. It was lust at first sight and this couple was a five-alarm fire hazard. I could skip any plans of cardio for the day as this tale had me gasping for breath, elevated my heart rate, and doubled my laundry. It could best be coined as an out of office unromance as neither party was willing to have anything to do with the other once they realized they would be working together. Yet neither could seem to concentrate. The premise wasn’t unique but the storylines were entertaining with frequent lashings of salacious inner musings. It was a quick, easy to follow and umm, highly sensual read. Certainly not one I would recommend for my elderly mother’s church ladies book club. Keep cool libations handy and ceiling fans set on high.

I love reading the Dare books so much that I simply can’t get enough of them!

If you think that you know all about Mills and Boon think again!

You know the old saying don’t mix business with pleasure. But can it really be avoided?

Marcus Wright is waiting for Tony Andrews to discuss business as Tony has sold Marcus half of his business. Tony was supposed to bring Jennifer Hayes to talk about Marcus being a business partner, but Mr Andrews didn’t appear.

Rachael Stewart is certainly a very talented author one that I highly recommend to everyone.

Marcus meets by chance Jennifer Hayes. With high sexual attraction between Marcus and Jennifer, Marcus decided to take Jennifer home to his place. Jennifer Hayes had no idea she was having hot passionate sex with her to be business partner.

When Miss Jennifer Hayes is confronted with the truth that the gorgeous man Marcus Wright, who she just had a passionate night with is going to be working with her, will Miss Hayes find it embarrassing after having a one night stand with Mr One Night Stand?

There was so much more than this part that surprised me and I do like surprises.

Do you dare to read it? Dare books are my favourite by mills and boon they are written by women, for women that are hot, sexy romances, featuring strong women who know exactly what they want, in and out of the bedroom.

4 - "You're worth the risk..." Stars!

Nothing pleases me more than discovering a new author, and Mr. One-Night Stand added Rachael Stewart to my list of M&B go-to authors to keep an eye out for going forwards.

She wanted one night of crazy. No names, no real talk, just wild, no-holds-barred sex…

With the perfect balance of sexy times, story-line and character background, Jennnifer and Marcus’s coming together ticked all of my quickie-romance reading boxes. They were both likeable, both with their own quirks, and both had strong personalities which added to the spice in their bedroom and boardroom escapades, making it a great all-round read.

"The funny thing about rules… They’re all the more fun when they get broken…"

The next book in the series; Mr. Temptation is due for release in June, and I will be at the head of the queue to get my hands on it.

Great book after the first couple of chapters
3 stars

After the demise of Mills & Boon’s previous sexy line, Blaze, I’ve been looking for something to take its place. While the Dare line raised my hopes - none of the books really knocked my socks off. or captured my attention fully. As I started to read this book I feared that this was more of the same.

And I felt that way for the first couple of chapters. The writing was good but for some reason I find that the Dare line like the opening scene of meeting to really be drawn out. I need a book to really be fast and snappy right off the bat to catch my attention and make me excited for what’s to come. Two chapters of the couple flirting at the bar and then meeting and having over-explained banter is just too slow for me.

The first sex scene came and I admit I was surprised - it was sexy and nicely explicit with a bit of fairly dirty language thrown in. Now this is what the Blaze line excelled at and this book brought me right back to those gems. There were a good number of sex scenes throughout the book - all very much part of the bigger story and not gratuitous.

For me, the book really started to pick up steam when the initial meeting and hookup were out of the way. That’s when we really got to know our two main characters - Jennifer and Marcus - and they really got to know each other. From this point, I loved their interactions and their banter. They were always coming from slightly different angles and it was fun to watch two strong people essentially want the same things but not be sure how to go about getting them. Having said that, the pair were honest with each other and I liked how there was no faux drama or misunderstandings used to keep the pair apart.

I also liked the setting of the book - the business aspect. It was done in such a way that made it seem real but still left enough out so it wouldn’t overshadow the romance.

And as I mentioned, I really liked the writing style of Rachael Stewart. After those first couple of chapters, the writing really flowed, pulled me in and really made me want to keep reading to find out what happened. There were enough different aspects to the story that kept you entertained and kept you interested right to the very end. But speaking of the end - I get so disappointed when there’s no epilogue. I love an epilogue and feel it really rounds out a story.

I really didn’t know how to rate this story. The first two chapters notwithstanding, it really was a good read. I enjoyed the story, liked the characters, it was well-written and had a good plot. But I have to rate it as a whole, which is why I gave it 3 stars. Still definitely worth a look and I’ll be keen to read more from Ms. Stewart.

Mr. One-Night Stand is author Rachael Stewart’s debut novel for Harlequin/Mills & Boon’s DARE. Oh my I’ll be adding a whole bunch of new books to my TBR pile. This is the first book I’ve read from the DARE imprint and I’m extremely impressed. I’ll definitely be checking out the other authors and Rachael Stewart is now an auto buy for me!!

Marcus Wright is a successful businessman. He’s worked his entire life to ensure he’s gotten everything he’s wanted. He never mixes business with pleasure…

Jennifer Hayes is a successful businesswoman. She’s been stretched to the limit lately with a business partner who has left her carrying the work load… So when she sees a gorgeous man across the room, she decides to have some fun for just one night only…

Oh wow! This couple’s chemistry was over the top, just explosive! I really liked Marcus and Jennifer from the start. The fact that Jennifer is a strong, confident and successful woman was refreshing. Marcus was drool worthy and I may have drooled just a little… who am I kidding… I drooled a lot! I liked how they affected each other and how they were able to confide in each other their pasts. Their attempts at trying to keep it professional as their feelings continue to grow were real and I felt their struggles. They truly were a great couple and the ending was absolutely perfect!

Rachael Stewart is such a wonderful writer and I ended up reading this cover to cover in one night, then rereading my favorite parts the next night! A fantastic, hot and sexy story that I really enjoyed, and had a hard time putting down. I have to admit I don’t normally read contemporary romance, mostly historical. But this book has helped change my mind. I will definitely be making more space on my TBR pile for anything Ms. Stewart writes from now on! I highly recommend this book and look forward to exploring more from this author and the Dare imprint.

Hold on...

*glugs glass of water*

Ahhh, that’s better - apologises, my mouth was as dry as the Sahara Desert there. I literally had to peel my tongue off the roof of my mouth *snorts*

Wowzer! That was one smokin’ hot read *wafts top*

Mr One-Night Stand is the debut Mills & Boon Dare release from author Rachael Stewart. I have discovered some great authors since the Dare imprint release last year. Ms Stewart is my newest addition, if Mr ONS is anything to go by.

Jennifer Hayes is a woman very much in control: both professionally and personally. Always putting the needs of others before her own, but everyone needs a night off. And, Mr I’d-Climb-That-Man-Like-A-Tree proves to be a welcome distraction for the evening. I repeat, very welcome... *winks*

Marcus Wright is a man with a firm set of rules, including never mixing business with pleasure. These have stood him in good stead, both professionally and personally (<- go figure!) in his life so far. Keeping a tight rein on his emotions means less chance of him repeating history. Intrigued? You should be...

So, as you can guess, that rule is about to get a sudden re-write *smirks*

Jennifer and Marcus are electric together. You know what I mean. That uncomfortable feeling you’d have if you got stuck in the same room as these two. Where you could swear you heard the likes of Barry White or Marvin Gaye in the background *giggles*.

I swear I could smell the pheromones coming off the pages. So much so, I was starting to get drunk off it. Over-share? Hmm *shrugs*, pretty much, but it’s me!

Also, side note - beds are so over-rated...

You all know how much of a sap I am by now, so it’ll come as no great surprise that I shed a tear or two once the MCs backstories were revealed. Then an event hits Marcus which touched an especially raw nerve with me. Whaaa? It’s been said that crying can be cathartic, you know? *whistles*

Anyhoo, I was hooked right till the very end and left wanting more.

#DoYouDare to pick up Mr One-Night Stand? Go on, you know you want to... *winks*

It was fantastic, I loved the power dynamic between the couple. Jennifer was very much in control most of the time. She is bloody hot and she knows it *fans self* but she is also very aware of Marcus and the effect she has on him. She is sexy and confident and smart, she knows what she wants and yeah, she's going to get it.

The blurb of this one led me to think that a lot less was going to happen than what actually did - and so it was a very pleasant surprise to read the full story. I liked the way it all panned out, I liked the lust and the steadily growing feelings, the way that the story was so much more than I expected.

I know it's Mills & Boon and it's romance, and that Dare is the most erotic of all of their series, but wow. Mr One-Night Stand is seriously sexy, steamy, and sensual. It's sex positive and feminist and it is definitely one of my favourite romances because of that. It's a book I will definitely reread, and an author I will definitely seek out more of.

I wish that I'd had the foresight to have the ingredients for a vodka martini ready at hand, as I was certainly craving one after the first chapter. I did end up snacking on olives though.

I've been reading a couple of DARE books each month, so I was really happy to get an early copy of this one. It's sexy and fun - of course. And I love a good office romance where both the hero and the heroine have something to lose. But I think what I liked best was the way the author handled very real the family issues, including alcoholism, while still keeping the tone hot. Great read!

Hooley-Dooley talk about sensual sizzle, this one is hot and fabulous, MS Stewart rocks with her debut Dare book, I loved Marcus and Jennifer these two were meant to be together, the attraction was instant and the heat could have started a fire, this is one that you will not want to put down so make sure you have nothing else to do while you get comfortable and enjoy this story.

Jennifer Hayes works very hard, she needs to make sure that her mother and sister are well cared for, but when her business partner stands her up for a meeting, she spies the most gorgeous man she has ever seen and her body heats up and she knows that she must have one night with him, that should ease her body, but that one-night turns her world upside down when she finds out the Mr Wright is now her new business partner.

Marcus Wright is a very wealthy businessman, he is about to take over half a business and is due to meet both partners but looks like he has been stood up, oh but h does notice the gorgeous red-head at the bar, and cannot believe the sensual pull that he feels for her and when she buys him a drink, it looks like he is in for a very good night. Things turn around a little when Marcus finds out who the lady is.

Working together, running a successful company is hard enough but add in a very sensual affair and that should be a big no from both of them, especially when Marcus has no intention of their relationship being anything more that for sex, and Jennifer needs more. Both of them have issues with their family, but truly they were both fighting so hard not to fall in love, that when it hits them and they give in to love, the stars shine brightly for them, what a story I loved this one and I do highly recommend it, thank you MS Stewart.

My, oh, my!! What a book! Ms Stewart has been cutting her teeth with saucy, sexy romances for a while now, but what surprised me most is that this is her debut Mills and Boon Dare novel. And what a debut! The quality of this is astounding, I can see a shining long and successful writing career ahead of her. This is – and I am rather embarrassed to say – first full length novel I have read by her, why is this? I don’t have an answer to that, only I must have been living in a Historical focused bubble for the best part of a year. But, that will change. I can’t wait to read more from this talented author.

I am a late-comer to Dare books, after only reading my first this year – again living in a bubble, so when I got offered to participate in this blog tour, I did jump at the chance as fast as I could. And I am so pleased that I did, as this is fabulous!

When Jennifer has to attend a business meeting, she is rather more peeved at her boss Tony not only because he does tend to use and lay a n awful lot on her shoulders. But mainly by the fact that he doesn’t even appear to meet her as promised, he was supposed to do all the introductions with the man who has bought into their business; a Mr Marcus Wright. Jennifer is frustrated – in mores way then one, she has had enough of how lax Tony is being lately and she is in an emotional state worrying about her ill mother. So when she sees the sinfully attractive man sitting in the airport, she has only one thing on her mind – and it has nothing to do with business meeting and corporate partners, it has everything to do with a partner in a completely different sense.

She makes it very clear to the stud in the suit that she only wishes for one night, one night of no strings and good old-fashioned – and may be a bit of new-fashioned – sex. But what she doesn’t realise that she has just gone and had the night of her life with not any old random from the airport lounge, but her new business partner; the enigmatic Marcus Wright!

Now she knows the truth, can she really go on as thought nothing happened? Can she forget what they did with each other, how he made her feel sexy and special and how she melted him with a mere smile? Or should she do what is said never to be done, and mix business with a whole load of pleasure?

What really appealed to me about ‘Mr One-Night Stand’ was just how real and relatable the two lead character’s are, I sometimes find it difficult to relate or even like character’s who like nothing more than to sip champagne while wearing a cat-walk named suit, people who do nothing but complain about breaking nails and not being able to jet off on holiday. Those people – I hate to admit it, irritate me. I am more of a fan or very real character’s who have actually lived and understand the world; which is Marcus and Jennifer down to a tee. Yes, they are both powerful and wealthy individuals who have forged their way into their world with hard graft, but beneath their cool masks of powerful business magnets they are very complex and fascinating people, especially Jennifer.

I so related to certain aspects of Jennifer’s life, she spoke to me, I understood her far better than I do most character’s. Her need for her own life, her career, to protect and look after her family. The fact that she has an ailing parent at home and her guilt at not being able to be there all the time and help spoke volumes about her to me. She is an amazing women who has fought for what she has, she has toiled and worked her arse off to get to where she is, and I really admire her for that. She is a strong, independent, no-nonsense woman who knows what she wants….and she wants Marcus!

Overall, this is hot! Fiery, sexy, raunchy, spicy, steaming-up-the-windows hot. A great twisty plot that will keep the reader hooked and engaged, but the real pull of this has to be the character’s. They are wonderfully developed, each one real and with their own back story which makes you sit up even further to pay attention. Jennifer and Marcus don’t iust steam up the page, they burn the book right out of your hand. Their attraction for one and other is instant, it’s sizzlingly hot – and this is before they proceed to the bedroom, once there…well, phew pass me the ice ;-) The writing is solid, it’s stylish and flowing, it’s very easy to become fully absorbed into the story, I got a real sense that Ms Stewart has put her heart into this book and I for one cannot wait to read more from her.

If you like your romances very hot, then this is the book you need to read, even if erotic romances aren’t your bread and butter then I would say give it a go as there is far more to this then just a good old fashion romp between the sheets.

What a sexy treat is this steamy contemporary romance novel!

This book is like chocolate. It can be an addiction and you just want more of this. I started reading and was away from this world. So, you have to book some time because you will read it at one time!

Jennifer Hayes and Marcus Wright : two respected, wealthy, businesses people with complex families and strong characters. One night they met and both want to escape from reality. No responsibilities, no rules, just hot sex for fun. The game starts and can’t be stopped anymore that night. What an incredible evening was this. Jennifer is still thinking of the passionate night, when it looks there is going to be a big problem. Marcus is her new business partner so her fantasy has to end immediately. How can you forget Mr Wrong when he is so delicious and you want it to be Mr Wright? Life isn’t always what you expect and even Jennifer and Marcus know this is wrong, they can’t let the other go. What will happen to those individual people when not only sex, but love got in their way?

Mr One Night-Stand is the perfect escape from reality, have fun reading and indulging the personalities and the hot romance! I am sure you will have a lovely time with this entertaining and steamy book!

Marcus Wright is a business man. He doesn’t havetime for anything except for that. He has a meeting to attend with Tony Andrewsand Jennifer Hayes. Meet, talk, sign the papers. That’s it. At least that’s howit was supposed to go. His patience is running thin, not that he has any anyways. And, with no sign of either of them he knows that he should probably justleave.
‘What the hell was he doing?’
Then he spots her, gorgeous red-head, walking in andtaking everyone’s breath away. Damn who is that?
Jennifer hates these meetings. Tony isn’t answering,in fact no sign of him at all. So, might as well just go to the bar and have adrink. Sitting there staring at her phone she notices this incredibly handsomeguy sit near her. Trying not to make it obvious she gives him the once-over.Damn, is it the alcohol talking or is she really thinking about hooking up withhim? One night, no strings attached, no commitment. ‘Seriously, what was wrongwith her? Was she that desperate to get laid? But one night, though. Think ofthe possibilities….’
Watching from a distance, Marcus begins to havetrouble hiding his interest. She’s fascinating. But if he watches her pop anotherolive in her mouth or suck on her fingers one more time he might lose self-control.No way in hell she would be down for this.
Jennifer can’t help but to think of all the possibilitiesof getting him in bed. Undressing him with her eyes…..
‘There was no harm in putting things in motion’
These two are in for a night of pleasure. Sex is sexafter all. Except neither of them know who the other is. Will they be able tokeep it strictly no strings attached? Will their One-Night Stand become more?
Sink into Mr. One-Night Stand and see just how muchpleasure each receive. I know I’m glad I did. This book was amazing. I couldn’tput it down. I enjoyed it to the last page and found myself wanting more.
I’m so thankful that I connected with RachaelStewart and I’m extremely grateful that she gave me the opportunity to read thisamazing book.

The thing I love about the Dare series is that these books are written by woman for woman, which just means we are getting exactly what we want. No offence to the male authors out there but woman know what woman want and Rachel is no different. I don’t know how but she manages to write a book with just the right amount of detail, that’s more than your standard Mills and Boon book but not enough to categorise it as an erotic story. I have to be honest I love every descriptive detail that she uses and I’m sure you guys will too.

So some of you fellow book nerds out there are probably wondering how was it written? Well I thought the story flowed very well and Rachel gives you enough detail about her characters that meant I could get a very clear picture in my mind. What’s even better is that the lead female (Jennifer Hayes) is not your average character. She has back bone and is not afraid to stand up to the lead Male (Marcus Wright). Also it’s not another boss and secretary story. Instead Jennifer is a powerful business lady who goes after what she wants, Marcus is not her boss but her brand new Business Partner. Can someone say equal footing yay!

So I am always honest with you guys and because of that I’m going to let you into my first thoughts. Although I read the back of the book and thought ‘Yeah this sounds good’ I had a feeling that it was going to take me a while to read it. Don’t know why but the feeling was there. Now I am so happy to say my feeling was completely incorrect. I picked up that book and read 8 Chapters before I put it back down. I finished in the book in less than 24 hours, I also slept and did a whole days work in that time as well. So by that you can tell that I devoured the 223 pages of this book.

So overall I thought this book is exactly what Dare is all about. Not only that I can’t wait to see what Rachel Stewart is going to release next for Mills & Boon. The book is available on Kindle as of 21st February and I recommend you going and grabbing it.

Thank you so much Mills & Boon and HQ Stories for providing me with a review copy.

So this book had everything you can crave and want from a Mills & Boon novel and honestly so much more . It revolves around Jennifer and Marcus who are big names in the tech world and are workaholics who meet each other by chance in a restaurant ( they were supposed to meet each other but the person who’s the link between them doesn’t come and they both are left hanging). From the very first moment the two characters look at each other their is a huge seismic ball of attraction between them. What I liked was that it wasn’t love but attraction at first sight which is totally understandable. When they meet they don’t share their identities with each other and plan to go and have a good Fuck ( I hope you are cool with me using such an explicit language). The catch here is that Jennifer’s business partner has signed of his 50% share to Marcus and mid way through their night Marcus realises who Jennifer is and that they would have to be in the office together the next day , but his sensible mind is not able to forgo the electrifying attraction between him and Jennifer ( and lets just say Jennifer wasn’t even ready to leave him).

So there are many and I mean many sex scenes in the book ( you aren’t going to be disappointed). And what I liked was that the person taking the charge during sex was not always the guy and I have to say that it was even hotter to see the main girl leading it . That the one leading their bedroom shenanigans kept on shifting naturally between the two was really nice. And also that the words like CEO and other business terms were not just thrown on the pages and actually constructive work happened in the office. You could actually feel that both the characters did have a job and other family issues apart from their sexual attraction which was definitely a thumbs up from my side. Both the main characters have family issues which we can see them dealing and coming to terms with various aspects of it during the book . I really liked how smoothly from attraction author took us to the both characters falling in love and actually even coming to terms with it.

So if you are thinking of picking up a Steamy Romance to read then trust me this would be a right pick . Its a delightful 200 pages read which made me laugh , cry and also gave me a lot of butterflies. Its also a perfect night read (eyes winking). And above all it was about sex being pleasurable for both the sexes. Its really good to see more books like these being written where the girl is the one carrying condom and confidently making her own personal decision.

*Sensitivity Alert : As a kid the guys father was a chronic alcoholic who used to hit him (there are no explicit scenes , its just mentioned)*

#Dare books always score top marks for hot and steamy romance and uber glamorous couples, but sometimes its hard to believe the situations they find themselves in. 'Mr One-Night Stand' creates the right set of circumstances for it to be believable, and that makes it so enjoyable to read.

Marcus is losing patience waiting for a business client, Jennifer is at her wits end with her business partner, who is late for a meeting. Neither are looking for the instant sexual attraction they experience as they lay eyes on each other. The quick progression of their encounter works, they are confident in all their abilities and used to getting what they want. They both know the rules but they are about to find out that no strings sex, doesn't always come without complications.

The hot, sensual romance is well-written, but the one-night stand is not what it seems, and leads to both business and personal complications for the power couple. Marcus is running scared from love, it makes you weak and he can't take the risk. Jennifer hasn't time for love her commitments are too great.

The gradual realisation that they're in too deep is fun to read, and you have to empathise. The conflicts they face are realistic but so worth the pain. The ending is worthy of such a deserving couple. Loved it!

Mills and Boon’s tagline to market their new(ish?) imprint DARE is “Think You Know Mills And Boon? Think Again.”

And it’s spot on.

It is Mills and Boon but with a difference and it felt to me as if that was down to the fact that not only does the heroine give back as good as she gets – whereas in previous imprints the heroines were somewhat… Overlooked - but also because there’s more of a balance between/focus on the actual storyline as well as the sexy times (from my read of Mr One Night Stand at least)

If I was asked to describe the characters of Rachael Stewart’s Mills and Boon debut in one sentence it would no doubt be this… Hot and hilarious (at times) with spades of angst thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed getting to “know” Marcus and Jennifer and was left wishing that the book had been longer so I could have enjoyed it more (although part of that was probably on me because I read this book in just over an hour)

There were only two things I would change in Mr One Night Stand, one being that Marcus never finds out about Jennifer’s mum, I would’ve liked to have had a scene where Jennifer tells him herself or he finds out and asks her about it, if only because the majority of the main character’s motivation came from the situation her mum was in (I’d love to elaborate on that but SPOILERS). Come to think of it though I read an ARC of the book, so maybe that was addressed in the finished copy?

Moving on to my second thing, I feel as if the ending was somewhat rushed, to me it felt like we would need another few chapters (before the ending) for it to turn into a happily-ever-after (and it was looking to be going that way) but then everything started to coming together so quickly and we had a happily-ever-after in under ten pages (whereas the characters were nowhere near that before then).

This review would feel incomplete without me mentioning how great it was to see the book feature Yorkshire and Wales in it amongst its settings? I can’t remember ever reading a Mills and Boon book set in (part in) Yorkshire or Wales, I loved it!

If this was Rachael Stewart’s Mills and Boon debut, I can’t wait to see what more she has in store for us!

I really enjoyed this romantic and seriously saucy read. This book was a nicely different as both main characters were well developed instead of focusing solely on one main character, so both the female and male points of view were clear as the story progressed. Both Jennifer and Marcus are successful in business in their own right and their sizzling connection binds them to each other. Both of them have family to take care of and are not ready to give more commitment to romance. However, the irresistible connection between Jennifer and Marcus keeps them returning for more until matters of business and family threaten to keep them apart. A super sexy read for Valentine's and beyond!

This shiny new DARE author thrills with a naughty but awesome tale of the perils of an anonymous night with a sexy stranger.
But as the couple grapple with the consequences of their one night together, they must somehow navigate a new working relationship. Add to that the fact they still can’t keep their hands off each other, and the fact they are both dealing with some personal stuff and helping each other through, and you have all the elements for a great romance story.
Ms Stewart is no stranger to a book filled with erotic tension. If you like your heroes tall dark and sexy, your heroines sassy and kick ass and your romances sexually charged, then pick this read up today!

I was lucky enough to receive this book from the author prior to publication...and when I say lucky, I mean really lucky!

If you are a fan of the Mills & Boon Dare imprint, this book will give you everything you are expecting and more. The chemistry between the two main characters is scorching and carries through the whole story whilst their emotional bond develops too. Marcus and Jennifer are great characters, equals who recognise that and respect and admire each other for it in a very refreshing way. But they also banter and argue and have issues which of course cause conflict because where would the fun be if it was all plain sailing. What was wonderful was that, throughout their journey, there was never a point when I became frustrated with them. The secondary characters were also interesting and I hope to see more of them in later novels. Overall, a very satisfying and steamy read.

This is a really good read. The chemistry between Jennifer and Marcus is page sizzilingly good. Sizzilingly is that even a word?!? Well if not it should be as it describes this book perfectly.

I loved the well fleshed out characters and their background stories and when they first meet, phew steamy!

I have read a few books by this author now and one thing for sure is this lady knows how to write and give a reality to the characters in the books that allows you to lose yourself in their lives. A thoroughly enjoyable read!

Wow! This book is incredible! The attraction between Marcus and Jennifer is instant, hot and steamy and the author continues that throughout the the book, it never wanes, but she very cleverly threads the emotion through the story capturing you on another level. Halfway through the book I was so invested in their relationship, I couldn’t put it down. Their emotional back stories had me in tears.
This is the debut Dare book by Racheal Stewart and it was so well written it was hard to believe that. Definitely a keeper and I’ll be waiting for the next book!

I was sent a copy of this book by Mills & Boon in exchange for an honest review.

Two strong characters. Two damaged pasts. One undeniably strong attraction.

What starts as a one-night-stand develops into something more when these two career-driven characters meet. She likes control and he doesn’t mix business with pleasure but their attraction is so raw and powerful - they can’t deny it.

I enjoyed ever part of this fast-paced journey. It was sexy with a great storyline and plenty of depth.

You might need a cold shower after this one because this book is hot.

So this isn't my usual reading genre but I read it and really enjoyed it. Its a debut for the author in the DARE line and is very well written with a pace that draws you in, you need to know what's coming next. The characters are strong (but with their weaknesses on display to the reader) and the scenario is a believable one. The sex is steamy and forms a natural part of the storyline. Looking forward to the next book by Rachael.

Screech the brakes for this one!

Oh my word! If you're planning on scrolling past this one, you should know you're giving up a gem! I absolutely adored this read. It's my ultimate-favorite-fantasy trope too - going home with a dark and sexy A.F. stranger, just for one, fling-all-your-morals-into-the-wind night of salaciousness. *swoon* Jennifer is the perfect heroine. Touched by tragedy, she portrays this fierce, no-nonsense and successful businesswoman. She certainly gives Marcus a run for his money! But beyond the facade, she's still just like any other woman, craving someone special to make the effort of digging deeper to find the real her.
Marcus is get-me-a-fan-before-I-pass-out HOT! He clashes with Jennifer in all manner of delicious ways. In the boardroom, between the sheets... Holy jalapeño!
I love Rachael's writing. I'm certainly an avid fan of the pictures her words paint me into.
A well-deserved 5-stars from me. It's a read I can certainly recommend. I'm eagerly awaiting her next release!
