I loved the other two books in the Crossed Series, but Star Crossed, Book 3, blew me away! Holy cow, this book is amazing! We know what Evelyn went through from Book 1, and to see her full story and her strength to push through is simply inspiring. You also can’t help falling for Gabe and fighting through his struggles along side him just as Evelyn does. Fabulous read! I highly recommend it!

Can I just fangirl for a second and tell you how phenomenal C. Lesbirel writing as Autumn Ruby for this book, Star Crossed? I read Crossed Paths and Crossed Forces by Star Crossed? Let me say this in a very unbiased way… these books changed romance for me. I LOVE these love stories, how real and raw they are. Star Crossed was different then anything I’ve ever read and as you all know as avid readers, it’s hard to come across that hasn’t been done before.
Thank you Autumn Ruby for restoring my love for romance through the ‘Crossed’ series.

This is probably my favourite one of all the Crossed series.
The emotions you feel when reading this are so real that you can’t help but cry your eyes out or smile at the cute things and even swoon at the things gabe says to Evie!
This is truly an amazing book about getting that second chance at love. Be prepared to feel everything!

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book.
This is yet another brilliant book in the ' Crossed ' series. My heart was broken & mended in this book .
Evelyn has been through a devastatingly heartbreaking time, & she is now left to bring up her baby in her own.
Gabe has his own troubles, but one thing that isn't any trouble is his daughter. He adores her, & has changed his life so that he can bring her up in the most calming & supportive way .
When Gabe meets Evelyn it's as if he has been struck by lightning. His love & want for her is unquestionable, & unwavering. He just has to be patient, & carefully take down her tear soaked walls.
Evelyn wants Gabe , but she has to fight through the guilt to get to him.
This is such a beautiful read.

Yay again another amazing and fantastic read by this talented author.
I absolutely loved this story..a story of second chances in life. When one door closes, another opens and for both Gabe and Evie this saying is perfect.
When neither one was expecting to find each other, they both come to terms with the fact they both need each other. I love single parent stories and having both characters as single parents, made this story even more amazing than it was. I loved the characters so much and love reading all again about past characters.
The story is so emotional written, I found myself welling up at times. I can not begin to say how much I loved reading this, and seeing this couple reach the HEA they deserve. Definitely a 5 ⭐️ read. One everyone will love.

An emotional roller coaster of a book. Story of true loves, family and how the journey is never as you expect. This book is a real page turner. In fact once I started I couldn’t put it down. I literally stayed awake until the early hours until I finished it!
The writing is so descriptive and enveloping you feel all the emotions as if you are there. Beautifully written. A must read

This book was phenomenal. The heart break, loss, betrayal, and finding love again will touch you to the core. There's so much emotion written into the story that it will pull you in and have you hooked from the first page until the very last. This is a read you won't want to miss.

Do you believe in second chances? What if this second chance at love also included having to go through the worst experience of your life to come through the other side which is the best? Autumn Ruby explores this possibility in her newest novel, ‘Star Crossed'.
Star crossed is a beautiful telling of two lost individual souls who are trudging through life, just trying to make it and create something better out of past experiences. Gabe and Evelyn have been through different circumstances, yet still resulting in the same current ending…starting over, facing down their demons and creating some roots for them and their children.
Evelyn is a sweet, younger individual who has more life wisdom than most adults her age. Due to circumstances, she may be chronologically young, but has an older and wiser soul. She has a young son, Marshall, whom she loves with all her heart. Marshall is extra special to her, because he is the spitting image of his father and besides both having the same name, he is all she has left of him (Marshall the father).
Gabe is also experiencing life as a single father to Poppy. He was finally able to put down some roots and they are the newest residents of the local strawberry farm. Gabe’s ex is a popular actress and he had assumed to role of house daddy, which included traveling with Poppy's mom to create some stability in her young life.
Gabe is about eleven years older than Evie, but this is where her ‘old soul’ comes in handy. Evie was taking her son strawberry picking and through a calamity of issues she first meets Poppy and then Gabe inside their house. Gabe is smitten instantly and knows she’s different, while Evie acknowledges there’s something there, but she is scared.
I have read the other two books in the Crossed Series and I have to say, that this one is my hands down absolute favorite. Autumn had me from page one, hook, line and sinker. Star Crossed is a beautiful retelling of second chances and what they can encompass if children are involved. It was emotional and lyrically worded. I am not afraid to say that she had me tearing up or straight up crying at points in the book. You will fall in love with two incredible guys, get tickled with the ‘family’ reunion, feel a sense of completeness at Gabe and Evie’s ending, and become irate with Gabe’s ex.

I’ve read the other two books in this series and this beats them all, it’s obvious the author has had a good progression in their journey of writing.
The storyline is excellent and the writing style is easy and enjoyable without losing the seriousness of the story.
I laughed, cried and reflected on what I read.
This is a story about love that’s lost but that never disappear. And how love also can be found again.
The characters are well described and the feelings is coming to the surface and grabbing my heart 💓
Beautiful love scenes and a connection between the main characters that is clear early on.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and good dialogues.
If you want a truly good love story I recommend you read this one. It functions very well as a standalone.

This third addition to this standalone series was full of love, loss, and healing as well as lots of steam. It made my heart happy.

An Incredible third book in the Crossed Series and it had my heart in states of flux between emotional heartache and loved up. This is Evelyn & Gabes story and it is such an amazing and beautiful story where we get the story of how Evelyns life was with Marshall Candices brother before his death and after with the sexy hot Gabe comes into Evelyns life. The books interlink back to Crossed Forces and Crossed Paths and you find yourself reminiscing those books throughout Star Crossed.
This is an emotional journey that you get pulled along willingly, you heart breaks but quickly mends. Its hot and sexy, fun & loving, we see drama and intense reality of family life but you will not want to miss reading this book xx

Out of the three in this series, this is by far my favorite. It’s really packed with all the things that I love in a book. The story was well developed and kept my interest from page one until it was over.
This author is always upping her game with every book and I’m so please I’ve found her!

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Ok so I have be honest here, after meeting Marshall in the beginning of the book and seeing him and Evie together, I fell hard for him. Which made it difficult for me to fall for Gabe. I just couldn't do it. He's a great guy, but some scenes were just hard for me read and accept. And again this is because I loved Marshall. I loved seeing everyone together though it was nice touch.

Wonderful, sweet book of a second chance at love. After a fairytale courtship and marriage, Evie's life is shattered by tragedy. A blessing, a son and alot of patience she meets Gabe, who with kindness and love sweeps her off her feet. Gabe has his own sad story, a little girl who's mom is a alcohol, drug addicted movie star, who thinks her daughter is a trophy.

April 13, 2020I don't even know where to start with these two! Marshall triggers so many events in the earlier books from shaping the person Candice is, to being the reason she volunteers in South Sudan in the first place. I love that he got a love of his own that's beautiful and pure. I'm not sure Evelyn will ever fully move on for a love like that but if anyone can help her do it, it's Gabe.
Gabe has a huge piece of my heart and is such an all round hero for his daughter, Poppy. I truly believe he was meant to be at Maple Valley and build up his strawberry farm. I also want a strawberry farm of my own after falling in love with this stunning setting.
This is my ultimate second chance romance and ugly tears are inevitable. I hope your heart breaks reading it like mine did, writing it because it makes the HEA so much more satisfying and worthwhile X
