A modern visionary and one of the newest authors to come from America, Dr. Melissa Caudle combines a suspenseful thriller and the search for truth in regard to past lives and reincarnation in this mind-bending novel in the tradition of “This Body: A Novel of Reincarnation” by Laurel Doud, “Journey of Souls,” by Michael Newton, and Past Lives, “Many Masters” by Brian L. Weiss. The result is a masterful original fiction novel as profound as it is awe inspiring. “Never Stop Running” is a page-turning thriller that begs to be read in a single sitting as this mental time travel spanning centuries and numerous past lives through regression hypnotherapy unfolds.
Based on a true story of one woman's struggle to recover her memories after a devastating accident left her with retrograde amnesia. This is an astonishing novel from an unforgettable author and is a must read. What happens when the unthinkable occurs? What would you do if your loved one all of sudden woke up and didn't know who you were or for that matter who your family was either? For David and Jackie Hennessey they had the perfect white picket fence life, marriage, family and careers until the unthinkable happened - an accident that left Jackie with no memory. The couple struggled to find the balance between what they once shared and their new life. After David discovered Dr. Grayson, a well-known regression hypnotherapist, he convinced Jackie to seek his services in order to retrieve her subconscious memories. During her sessions, her memories surfaced only to uncover her past lives which crisscross centuries in her mental time travel. Faced with a moral dilemma of believing the dreams were once a reality and twisting her religious convictions on reincarnation, Jackie questioned her sanity and feared for her life after seeing her deaths in her previous lives. She believed she could never stop running as her marriage degrades and falls apart. Based on real events of regression hypnotic sessions of one brave woman, this is a tale of destiny and soul mates not to be missed. The most intriguing book you'll read all year. You don't have to believe in reincarnation to enjoy this tale, but it will get you to thinking about the possibility.

I enjoy reading psychological thrillers and family dramas a lot, and I have already read a few of these books in 2023, but Melissa Claude's "Never Stop Running" appealed to me on an entirely new level. It presents evidence for reincarnation in a rational and compelling manner.
The opening scene of the book is a gripping one, as we witness Jackie undergoing regression therapy. As a former school teacher who lost her memory in a devastating accident on a school trip, she's desperate to piece together the fragments of her past. At first, the day of the accident seems like any other, with Jackie feeling apprehensive about the trip. But fate had other plans, as she finds herself unexpectedly befriending a lonely orphan whose tragic past mirrors her own.
As the story progresses, we learn that Jackie has been carrying a heavy burden for years - the guilt of her father's death in a car accident. It's a weight she's been carrying alone until now. But as she undergoes regression therapy, something remarkable happens. In addition to her current memories, she begins to recall ancient memories from a time long ago. It's a development that sets the stage for an incredible journey of discovery, one that will take her on a quest to uncover the truth about her past and the mysteries of the afterlife.
The way the author seamlessly weaves together these different threads of the narrative is truly impressive. From the emotional weight of Jackie's personal struggles to the intrigue of her newfound ancient memories, there's never a dull moment in this story. With each turn of the page, the tension and excitement build as we eagerly follow Jackie on her journey of self-discovery.
In all honesty, I must admit that the topic of reincarnation has never really piqued my interest. However, I cannot deny the intriguing aura that surrounds the concept. Despite my initial lack of enthusiasm towards the topic, I do find myself drawn to stories that explore the theme of reincarnation. I can read about it for hours on end, losing myself in the imaginative worlds created by talented authors like Melissa Claude. And that's exactly what happened when I picked up this book.
Before I talk about the other aspects, I must start with the author’s ability to detail; this quality of her writing engaged me with the story most times. I loved how she portrayed the little things; for instance, look how beautifully she depicted Jackie’s absence without mentioning the word, “Weeds filled the once immaculate flower beds, and the neglected, overgrown lawn needed serious attention.”
I loved how the author depicted the relationship between David and Jackie; I don't think there is anyone who would not love David. He is just perfect and admirable. From the setting to the dialogue, everything is described in such a way that the reader can visualize it vividly. This makes the story come to life and creates a more engaging reading experience. Pretty much all the characters are very well developed and serve the story up to a point.
In conclusion, "Never Stop Running" is a must-read for anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers and family dramas, as well as those who are interested in exploring the evidence for reincarnation. The combination of a well-crafted narrative, engaging characters, and thought-provoking subject matter makes this book stand out in its genre. And lastly, the editing team deserves praise as well for adding such smoothness to the pace of the book.
Dr. Melissa Caudle's Never Stop Running is a captivating novel that follows the life of a woman named Jackie who has experienced multiple lives but struggles to find meaning in her current one. Jackie, a school teacher, embarks on a school trip with her friend Beth and their respective classes. Tragically, the bus driver suffers a heart attack while en route to the museum, resulting in a fatal collision. Unfortunately, Jackie is the only one seriously injured and remains in a coma for several months before waking up with no memories of her past life.
The novel delves into the concept of past lives and regression therapy as Jackie attempts to recall her previous life before the accident by seeking out the source of her trauma. As she grapples with the memories of her past lives, she must also come to terms with her current family, who are strangers to her. Her husband David, mother Margarette, and two young sons, Tyler and Sebastian, one of whom has no recollection of her, add to her struggles.
Whether you believe in the notion of reincarnation or not, Never Stop Running is a mesmerizing tapestry of numerous tales. The book seamlessly weaves together not only the perspectives of the present characters but also those from Jackie's past lives. The writing style is affected by the era in which the flashbacks occur, making the shifts in the timeline effortless and non-disruptive. Caudle expertly immerses the reader into Jackie's world with her vivid descriptions and captivating characters.
Never Stop Running is a thrilling work of psychological fiction based on a true story. Readers follow along as Jackie discovers her soul mate in past lives and tries to come to terms with her current life and situation. I wholeheartedly recommend this book, as it is an enthralling and exhilarating read that will keep you engaged until the very end.
This story grabbed me on the opening page and refused to let go. I was instantly caught up in Jackie’s story and read the book in one sitting.
Never Stop Running is based on true hypnotic regression sessions, but the author does an incredible job of creating the fictional story. Reincarnation is a topic that divides many people. If you are not a believer, you will still find this story fascinating for the entertainment factor. It is a psychological thriller in every sense of the genre. Without giving away too much information, the ending was the most stunning I’ve read in awhile. I immediately wanted to read the entire book again with my new found knowledge.
The premise of amnesia and how it changes interactions within the family is an important aspect of Never Stop Running. The tragic results of living long term with an amnesiac are heart-wrenching.
I don’t believe you will be disappointed with Never Stop Running by Melissa Caudle
I don't often leave reviews for books, but this one needs it. I didn't like the writing style and found it took a while for me to get used to. I also didn't like how the author described characters bluntly by their name, age and race... race, seriously. It was very distracting and felt like a police report. Then there was David, at first I sympathized with him, then I started to dislike him. I just couldn't get on board with his character. My expectations for this book may have been high as I have read many books on reincarnation, including Michael Newton's. So I was expecting more than a short "thriller" - if I can even call it that. It had a very "made for tv movie" feel to it. Definitely could have used more plot and character development. The ending came so abruptly, and left me scratching my head. Almost as if the author was sick of writing the book or ran out of words and needed to end it quickly. This book will find it's way into the donation bin.
This book is spell-binding from the first word until the last. The imagery Caudle describes is breathtaking and transports you to another time and place. This is a mental time travel journey with twists and turns you won't want to put the book down until you are finished. Wow! The most incredible ending and totally unexpected that it grabs you and makes you want to start all over to read again. A must-read and masterfully written.
Just when you think that you've got it figured out and/or think this book is predictable, the great story telling of Mel has you believing that this booking is running in a different direction, then it cleverly raps and twists back around. I also enjoyed reading on the ideas and thoughts of past lives seen, discovered and understood through hypnosis regression sessions. Oh yes, and of course anything which takes place in New Orleans is always a pleasure. Well Done.
This is an incredible book and a quick read. Caudle wrote a masterpiece as she weaves her character's in and out of a mental time travel as Jackie recalls her past lives during regressions sessions. There's more to this though as Jackie's life turns into chaos and her white picket fence falls apart. This is suspenseful and the most unexpecting ending that made me read the book again. READ THIS.
