Purity
William is dead. The Conclave is a bad memory. Rachel has healed and returned to New York without Helen. Morgan has turned out to not be a standard issue Vampire, but things seem to be settling down, as Jessica's pregnancy enters its last few months.
Nothing in Adrian's life seems to be able to stay low key, as Morgan discovers that Vampires are more broadly known than Vampires know about or would like. Worse, one of the groups who is aware of the Vampires is a group named the 'Human Purity Alliance', and they hate Vampires with a dark and deadly passion.
Vampires can't get pregnant. Everyone knows that. All Jessica's power and love are useless in the face of what would happen if anyone, human or Vampire, discover her impending motherhood.
The HPA have knowledge of Adrian, but it is not clear how much, and if they are after him or not. Morgan, Angel, and Vera devise a scheme to find out where the HPA are, and what they know about Adrian.
Adrian just wants to stay at home and enjoy Jessica's last trimester, but the world has other plans for him.

In 2000, there was a house rule for a while, and every Thursday even, CJ was locked away from the kids and cats and wrote 'Lonely Dancer'. Then did nothing with it. Novel complete, back to life. Cats and kids do not understand writer isolation one tiny bit.
In 2010 the idea came to create Vampires that could exist. Not that were likely to exist, but that at least followed the rules of natures and physics. Reading many Genre romances to calibrate what those stories were about and building the rules to the Hypernatural world, 'Naked Came the Vampire' was written, followed by' Siren Song', 'Conclave', and 'Purity' in rapid succession. The first drafts were put away and another story about a superhero was written along the same lines: trying to come up with a way that a superhero could violate all the laws of physics, as they do. Not counting Batman. Mostly.
Then IT called with a five year, 70 hour a week project and all writing ceased.
That project over led to dusting off the Hypernaturals and getting them out there. Because what Science Fiction geek doesn't like a good Vampire Romance?
That led to pulling out Lonely Dancer, which went out the door after editing, and garnered the first five star review. Encouraged, next came 'The Law of Unintended Consequences' set a few months after the events of 'Lonely Dancer'

I don't think I am supposed to review my own books?
Purity is book 4 in the Hypernaturals series. Book 1, 'Naked Came the Vampire', I published last year, and it introduced the idea that Vampires are real, but not magical. I publish them as science fiction, as well as science fiction romance, because Vampires.
Book 2, 'Siren Song', also 2018, introduced a new hypernatural, the Sirens. These are grumpy, grizzled men who enjoy nothing more than a good seduction, via song
Book 3, 'Conclave', also 2018, is about a Conclave of Vampires, having an emergency meeting about the Sirens. With a hot tub party, because Vampires have their traditions.
This is book 4. Purity is about the Human Purity Alliance. They do not like Vampires. Here is the back cover blurb for that:
