The only woman I ever loved has come back with a secret.
She’s in danger and I’ve vowed to protect her. As a Kinsmen just like my brothers, I have the club by my side. Ella left me once. And my world changed the instant I saw her innocent face again. Now that she’s back… I’d be damned if I let her get away a second time. The club is my life… And this woman is my soul. She won’t need to run from evil for much longer. She will be safe. And I will keep her here, even if all hell breaks loose.
Okay I read the first book but didn't like it so read others and decided to try the second book to see if it was better.... it's not. I feel like I should have read several other books before I read either of these because it's like the reader is supposed to know and understand who is who and why they act a certain way. I don't understand so done with trying. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is really frustrating the storyline is good the characters engaging but yet again as with the first book in the series the typos and grammatical mistakes spoil the reading experience. Quite often you find yourself having to work out what the author is trying to say and getting annoyed when names are gotten wrong, several times in this book the author uses Isabelle instead of Ella. Please author check your work before you publish.
The Kinsmen MC has been saved by Isabelle, without Jaxson's knowledge, leaving Jaxson to put a stop to all illegal activity within the MC. Since then, Jaxson has been trying to convince Simon to become his VP but Simon has just been given the constructions company he worked for when Chris handed the company to him. Chris had known their dad through the MC so there was some dissention within the workers thinking that's how Simon not only got the job, but the company as well. Rosella ran back home with her eight year old son, running from her dangerous father. She has a job at the bakery in town, hiding in plain sight, and sneaks her son into the hospital day care so she has somewhere safe and reliable to watch him. She'd been careful not to be seen or caught until Mrs. Kinsmen recognizes her. If you read book 1, Jaxson, you'll remember Mrs. Kinsmen as the mother to Jaxson, Simon, Matthew and Zeke. Seems Rosella and Simon were sweethearts all through high school and then one day Rosella just up and left, breaking Simon's heart. Now she's back. An MC with heart along with love of family and loyalty. This is just a terrific read with an intriguing plot. Of course, the characters and their personalities make the book flow into the sexual chemistry bringing the entire piece to life. Another great addition to a terrific series.

This is a great second chance romance for Simon and Rosella, high school sweethearts. An action packed story involving the Kinsmen club and the mafia. Rosella (Ella) had a perfect childhood filled with love and admiration until she overheard her father conversations about his discretions leaving her appalled. Her love and protection for Simon was challenging and intense but her decision to walk away from their relationship was the only option at the time. Simon’s father was the president of the Kinsmen club but Simon didn’t want or have any dealings with his father business like his brother Jaxson. His love for Ella was strong but he was distraught and heartbroken when Rosella (Ella) stated she didn’t want to be with him anymore and left town. He became brooding and distance from his family. Rosella (Ella) returns to the small town 8 years later on the run and with a mysterious secret that leaves her disturbed. Will Ella reveal her secret? Can Ella and Simon restore their relationship? ******I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review******
I received this book as an ARC for a voluntary and honest review. This is the second book in the Kinsmen MC series, but all are stand alone. Simon for those who read Jaxson is the the brother who doesn't totally embrace the family MC. We do find out why in this book. Rosella, "Ella"was his high school sweet heart who left town 8 years ago. Her family, unknown to Simon is part of the Mob, and she left town to protect Simon and the MC. So this is second chance romance, with some other twist thrown in. The chemistry is HOT and I mean scorching. 8 years has not diminished how they feel for each other but they need to find their way back. The ARC was in need of some proof reading that was hopefully fixed for the final copy. It's got to be hard with two authors working on a project to keep everything continuous, and I unfortunately pick up on little details.
Ok, I’m loving this series! We met Simon in Jaxson’s book and he was just a little unsociable, but he definitely changes with the right motivation in his book! Simon is sweet, caring a little standoffish and totally all alpha sexy. Hes been in love with Ella forever, but she left him heartbroken when they were young and now she’s back and the feelings are still there for both of them. These two are so perfect for each other and their feelings for each other are strong, but in trying to protect, they miss out on years that could have been spent together. This book is sweet, exciting, totally sexy and really funny too...the Kinsmen brothers are a little crazy. Definitely a great read, but read Jaxson first, it’s always nice to know all the characters...can’t wait to see which brother is next!
I’ve read a whole lot of MC romances, and same amount of second chance reunited lovers romances and this one fell flat for me. I had to keep reading it but my attention never connected with this and the main characters were just too forgiving and no fight. Ella said she forced her parents to move because she was pregnant to save Simon and his family from her crimelord father and his ‘hench’man of a brother. It just don’t add up in my thinking. She’s back in Simons hometown thinking she can stay there without him or his mom and brothers knowing, really? She that demented there is 4 other brothers and their mother is alead nurse, and everyone knows everyone! I’m thinking people will know who she is a talks, words spread faster than a wildfire.
Simon is different to all his brothers. He doesn’t feel as though he is a part of the MC and runs his own construction company. The woman he loved, left without a word eight years ago which has left him with a whole in his heart. Now, she’s back and she comes with danger following close on her heels.
Ella left town eight years ago and left the only man she’s ever loved behind. Now she’s back hoping that she can move on with her life....but will it include Simon and will he forgive her once he finds out why she left?
A good story, enjoyed it thoroughly! Thank you to Hazel for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review.
This is the second book in this awesome series, and can be read as a standalone. Ella and Simon were childhood sweethearts, and she left town for eight years. No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story which is filled with drama, action, twists, unexpected surprises, and a steamy second chance romance. I was totally captivated throughout and look forward to reading more from these talented authors’. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book grabs your attention and keeps you reading to find out what is going to happen. Ella left town eight years ago without any explanation and now is back. The danger is still there for her and while she tried to forget Simon, she just can't. Simon is trying to figure out what is going on as he never forgot Ella and just always wants to be near her. There is great character development and lots of twists and turns that keep you going right to the end. Another great MC Kinsman book. Enjoy.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
We have action and love. Simon has never wanted to be part of the Kinsmen MC Club, but lately he's been rethinking, but still not sure. Rosella was Simon's high school girl, until one day she left. Now she's back after 8 years with a son. Simon wants her so bad, but can he forgive her? What is she hiding? Will he be able to help her? Can he get her back? Will Rosella ever tell him the truth? Can she protect Simon and his family? Can she protect her son's heart?

A well written romance with nice storyline and plot. It is the second in the Kinsmen series but can be read as a standalone. The characters are well described and they develop nicely through the story. The story is written in dual POV and I like that because it gives a lot more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That brings the story closer to the reader. A second chance romance that is a mix of drama, emotions and twists. It is a funny, sexy and emotional read.
This is a good continuation of the Kinsmen MC Series. The storyline is good with twists, steam, second chance at love, dangerous family, and love. The characters are described in a good manner, are decent, loving, have secrets and some need protection. This is overall a decent read and while it kind of missed the mark with me I still liked it. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. This is a second-chance romance between Simon and Ella. Ella left when she overhead her father talking and hurt Simon, now she is back and is hiding something. Will Simon find out the truth? Fast-paced read with loads of drama and suspense. The chemistry is steamy and the story has plenty of drama and emotion. I really liked it.
The plot of the story was good, however all of the typos made it difficult to follow. One minute Rosella had an eight year old, then later referred to him as a five year old. The main character is Simon, her child is Mike. About a third of the way into the book, Rosella refers to her son as Simon. Also she has gooMikebumps??? I couldnt keep going.
It has the potential of being a good book, but could definitely use a proof reader and an Editor.
Simon is Jaxon's brother who is not as involved in the MC as Jaxon. His high school sweetheart left town which left Simon devastated. Unbeknownst to Simon and the MC, she had secrets that could destroy the MC thanks to her father. Now she is back, and the passion is just as hot as it was before she left. Will Ella and Simon have their chance for love this time around or will all the drama that unfolds around them ruin their chance again?
This is book 2 in this mc series where we find out about Simon's story. His school love returns to town with the same mysteries she left with over 8 years ago. When they finally realise they still have unfinished business the reasons for leaving if the first place follow Ella to town. Great romance with sadness at the time they lost over the years apart.
This book was better than its predecessor. I like that the story pretty much picks up where the first one left off. I still do not see the need for the duel points of view when they don't seem to offer a different perspective to the situation. I enjoyed the story line and the character development was great.
Having read Jaxson I thought I would carry on with this series. Sadly. although this had the potential to be a really good story we continue to experience abysmal editing and the awful repetition of conversations between our two heroes, it really isn't necessary. This is an okay read if you get it on KU but I really wouldn't buy it.
I don't know who the editor was for this book but they should be fired. There are mounds of errors but what upset me and caused me to stop reading the book was the fact that it seemed every chapter copied the one before but from the other persons view point. It was literally rereading over and over! I couldn't finish it.
Good story but found the mistakes overall let the book down and made it difficult to follow. For example, in one chapter they have shepherds pie and in the next it's lasagne. I did it enjoy the storyline and the development of the characters but at times you had to guess what was going on\who it was talking about due to the errors.
This is another good book in this entertaining series. Simon and Ella's story offers plenty of drama, intensity, action and steam. I liked the characters, enjoyed their chemistry and the story held my attention well.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The story was well written and kept me reading until the last page. The characters had good chemistry and steam. I would recommend this book to others.

It is a little different from the normal MC you would read about... cute story, nice characters.... needs a bit of fine tuning with the writing. Sometimes a bit repetative.
Wow! JC had done it again. Kinsmen series is amazing! Simon and Elle have a love story like no other. I couldn’t but the book down. Read in less than I day and want more. Wow!!!!!!
Loved Simon & Elle's story. This is the second book in the series. Such a great & intriguing book. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book via booksprout.
Simon was a great, well-written, second chance romance w/undeniable chemistry and drama. It was a fast-paced, action packed story. It’s the second book in the Kinsmen MC series.
