Quite a good read. Arcs are quite short, the novel Itself is quick paced. But it’s good enough so you don’t miss anything.
It’s a world hopping, with most of the stuff explained. We have holes everywhere so it’s fine, and it’s not that eye catching. Arcs are short and some times I even had a filling I was just reading a description of the arcs and not arcs itself, but that’s fine. You get used to it and it’s not annoying actually.
Pace is quick. Can’t say we have a complicated plot here, but it’s here. Out ML is overpowered and will save the situation, so it’s fine. MC is also getting trained so you will see a powerful MC at the end too. Nice to have all the stuff explained, and the ending itself was very satisfying. I’m really happy with how it went.
The relationship are not the best, but not toxic. They are just specific. But they complement each other and happy so I’m totally fine with it. No misunderstandings mostly, and no dog blood drama to drive relationship or plot. That is a good point.
In general, it’s a quick and relaxing read. Can be as a nice snack between difficult or painful novel, to have you heart and brain relax.
Rating: 3.5/5 - This book was both great at times and annoying AF at times.
I love silly MCs and OP MLs so I genuinely enjoyed that, as well as the mutual doting and Yandere vibes.
The arcs were pretty interesting and at least not as drawn out as most QT novels are. Although the excessive info dumps were not enjoyable as it took away from the potential of the arc.
Overall I still enjoyed this for a QT novel. QT is my least favorite genre and it is very seldomly picked by me to read. I liked that this was about a system and host partnering and not just having the system as a side character.
This book does seem slightly disjointed however, where the origin world seems rather unexpected and not a natural conclusion.
It’s a quick read though so I still definitely recommend it - although FOD is still in a league of its own and this just isn’t really the same.
It's quite a short read, to the extent that as a QT novel, the world building seems a bit lacking. On the bright side, each arc is pretty much to the point as ML is so OP that he resolved the tasks fairly quickly.
The ending seems abit rushed, but at least it was kinda wholesome? Psychotic ML tends towards the overly possessive trope while masochistic MC is more silly and innocent.
However, I like the unique arc origin world as it really stands out (positively) as compared to other QT novels.
Long Qi's novels has always been pretty satisfactory but this novel did not live up to the standards... But, if you felt that some other novels were long winded, this definitely is not.
overall, still quite enjoyable. good one time read. I doubt I'll be re-reading.
Ceritanya unik.
