Most secrets cause pain, but sometimes they heal.

South
With my band’s album skyrocketing up the charts, the last thing I want is a girlfriend. I like it rough and preferably with strangers, and I sure as hell don’t do love. Ever since my buddy introduced me to the kooky pet wedding photographer, I’ve done my best to ignore her. But Mia won’t take no for an answer. Now she’s all I think about.

Mia
One glimpse of South’s photo and it’s a serious case of insta-lust. Then I meet him in the flesh, and all bets are off. I’m determined to make the blue-eyed rocker mine. At least for a night or two. Who knew he’d want so much more? But I know for a fact he won’t want this—my sweet, tiny, little secret.

How can I keep them both—the rock star and his baby—when a 'watcher' in the shadows is determined to make sure I don't?

A will-they-won’t-they roller coaster ride makes the HEA extra-sweet. This is book 4 in the interconnected series and it’s a standalone. If you’d like to check out South trying to ignore Mia when they first meet, you can read book 3, Nico and Ivy’s story.

Note: Full length (99,000 words) standalone with a HEA. No cheating. Contains frequent strong language, sex scenes, and drug use.

Damaged souls. Golden hearts. Redemption.

Amy J. Heart writes about broken, golden-hearted guys and gals who, no matter the odds, manage to find redemption together.

When she's not obsessing over damaged heroes, she's listening to indie music, drinking nuclear-strength coffee, talking to her overly adventurous cat, extremely naughty dog, or very happy chooks. And sometimes even her family!

When they won't speak to her, she stomps off to write more broken-hero contemporary romances or enemies-to-lovers paranormal romances, starring cursed fae princes and their human fated mates under a fun pen name.

This is my 1st read and review for this author and this is a fantastic story and my absolute favourite genre. Mis see’s a picture of South in a magazine and she instantly falls in lust with him she ends up being a bit of a stalker because everywhere South is Mia is there, she goes to his concerts and she makes sure that she is in the front row and she’s there at all of the parties that South goes to. South has noticed Mia everywhere he goes she is there he doesn’t do commitment or relationships but there is something about Mia and no matter how hard he has tried to avoid her she is always there. They end up sleeping together and Mia ends up with a surprise, how will South take her surprise and can she keep both of them?. Wow this is a roller coaster ride of emotions and I loved every bit of it, this is a fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Loved It!!

South and Mia's story was one h*'ll of a rollercoaster ride. As the bad boy lead singer of Up Void, South lived every bit of the rock star life; drinking, drugs and one-and-dones. Mia was a different story and once he finally let her in his life she made him break all of his rules.

South had a extremely bad upbringing until he found a family that showed him he could be loved and put a guitar in his hands. There are times I wanted to strangle him but knew that deep down he was worth all of the trouble just as Mia found out. I'm so glad that South and Mia found their HEA and took me along with them.

This was a rough read. If I hadn't known how messed up South's childhood was I would have probably given up on this. Thankfully Mia was able to help him in the end even if she believed lies and almost destroyed him for good. What also saved this was that the band got together in the end and fired the chick that was responsible for all the drama. I thought it was a creative way to handle the situation.

I really enjoyed this read. South and Mia's story had plenty of emotional turmoil on their road to romance. I liked both these characters and it was easy to root for them as a couple. For Mia's part, I thought she added some cuteness to the story. Her fangirl crush was relatable and realistic. South was wounded and his baggage caused him to act out. To start this was a bit off putting and I was not happy with his actions toward Mia. Once you got to know him though, you could understand where it was coming from, if not approve of it. This book has a lot of drama, twists and sweetness. As for the storyline itself, I found it very engaging and it held my interest very well. I am posting my sincere, voluntary review.

This book was an emotional roller coaster to read. There were some high point and really low points. There was impeccable character development throughout the book. The characters really pull on your heart strings. I love that the book really shows the importance of communication in a relationship. The realism and character development combine to create an attachment between reader and characters. This was an amazing read. I highly recommend reading it!

Mia’s has a Jones for South since she met him.

South is the lead singer for Up Void, a local band. He’s had a thing for Mia too, but he doesn’t do girls he’s friends with or knows well.

It’s the push and pull of their attraction to each other.

This was a super read I really liked Mia and South and really enjoyed their story I have to admit there were times I really wanted Mia to tell him to do one I know he had his issues but the way he talked to her at times made me want to beat him, overall though you cannot help but like these two together this is a really good well-written addition to the series and I would recommend it.

Between passion and torment
Mia is very attracted to South singer in a rock band, but he seems to run away. He thinks she deserves better and she only wants one night until they discover themselves. The story is fairly classic with a tormented rocker and a friend who's been drawn to him for a long time, and they start a relation, but the story takes a turn I loved when a "watcher", a stalker or a fan who spies South is introduced. We do not know if it's a man or a woman, but one thing is certain, he does not like Mia and will do everything to make her no longer in their relationship.
Just like that romance rocks and forces characters to make sometimes unpredictable decisions. Excellent

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.  First time I have read one of Amy's books.  I hope it won't be the last.  I loved it.  It had despair, hope, laughter and happiness.  South is a lead singer in a up and coming band.  He has always had a thing for Mia but won't allow himself the chance to be with her.  That won't matter.  Mia has always been in love with him. She has always secretly stalked him in an innocent way.  She will whittle away his resistance eventually.

Finally South's getting some love. Poor guy is broken and meeting Mia is just what they both need if they only cut through the crap. Having gone through all the drama with his other band members it was only a matter of time for him to fall for this fun and different girl. Hot sex guaranteed (you can count on that with all the books in this series).

5 Stars!

Mia has had a crush on South since ... well, before they even met. Once they did meet, it became her obsession. South doesn't believe that he is worthy of being loved, so he lives his life to the max ... the good old cliche - sex, drugs and rock & roll! But when he meets Mia, he doesn't understand the feelings he's having. It doesn't take long for Mia to win him over and they start their tumultuous relationship. South has told Mia plenty of times that he never wants kids and when Mia accidentally gets pregnant, their relationship starts to unravel.

I LOVED this book! Mia and South will took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. At first I wanted to tell Mia to let him go already ... he doesn't want the same things you want. But then I would look at the broken boy behind South's facade ... and I felt that maybe Mia could be the one to save him. Even though I wanted to give him a swift kick for the way he talked to her and treated her sometimes, South had my heart from the beginning. An excellent addition to a great series and I highly recommend not only this book ... but the whole series.

I graciously received an ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review.

Opposites attract

Mutual attraction and lust may not be enough to make them cross the line into lovers....but when they do he rocks her world! What he doesn't expect is to want another taste, and another and.....well then all bets are of when their coupling produces results!

Mia is Ivy’s best friend and has been crushing over her boyfriends band member South forever.
South feels damaged he never has girlfriends & doesn’t mess about with friends but Mia has certainly got him in a twist. Can South realise what he’s got before it’s too late?

Saving South is an angsty story about learning to love yourself while finding love when it is unwanted. The story follows South, the frontman for Up Void, an up and coming band poised for stardom. He is handsome, rough, and unavailable for any profound relationship by his own choice. Mia is a photographer who photographs dog weddings and ceremonies. She is also the best friend to the girlfriend of one of South’s friends. Mia has eyes for South. She wants a one-night stand with him, but South gives her no sense of interest. Instead, he seems to consider her with disdain. Knowing that she only wants a one night stand, she pursues him even though he seems disinterested. Unbeknownest to her, South is extremely attracted to her, but he doesn’t do relationships, so he stays away from her. Until he can’t. One night turns into more. Unfortunately, this story is full angst, so there is more to the story than just its beginning.

As a hero, South is complicated. He has a huge heart, but he hides it behind a gruff exterior. He fights against a relationship because he doesn’t believe he is worthy of love, an idea bred through his upbringing. His struggle is profound throughout the story, so much so that your stomach hurts at his lack of self-esteem. He can also be cruel, mostly due to his lack of self-acceptance. But it makes it difficult to read at times when his cruelty towards Mia is profound. Thankfully, his kindness eventually overcomes his cruelty, but the reader is a front-row observer to the push-pull of their relationship.

Mia is a worthy heroine. She is a strong woman who loves South through his search for self-love. She does self-sabotage her happiness at various times in the story, which can be frustrating. However, she seeks after forgiveness when she makes poor decisions that almost ruin her relationships.

This was my first time reading Amy J. Heart, and I missed reading the first book in this series, Tempting Ivy. The characters play a part in this book, but it is not necessary to have read the first book for understanding this book. I will be reading Tempting Ivy as I enjoyed the angst and characters of Saving South. Overall, I am looking forward to other books by Amy J. Heart.

Amy J. Heart knocks it out of the park again with Saving South. I was first enchanted with her writing back when I stumbled upon A Boy Called L. This book is a bit more light-hearted than that taboo dark love story, but there is still a bit of drama characteristic to this author’s books. I do love a damaged, bad-boy rocker and South is definitely it. I like how he is also vulnerable and has insecurities that he must overcome. My heart broke for this complex character many times over. Mia is quirky and fun. She is pretty forward in the beginning of the book as she actively pursues South and I wasn’t sure how that was going to go. She is definitely the kind of character that I would like to have as a friend. The two of them are perfect together and the chemistry between them is hot. This author did a great job of crafting characters that are relatable - characters that have their strengths, but also flaws and who sometimes make bad decisions. The secondary characters are also great - I would love for some of them to get their own books. There are a few characters from the previous book, Tempting Ivy, but this book can be read as a standalone. The book was a little long for my liking, but I didn’t find myself skimming any pages or feel like it was dragging. Saving South is an enjoyable book with wonderful characters that are well developed and it has just the right amount of drama without going over the top. I received this book from the author and I voluntarily leave this review.

This is a new author and series for me and having not read the previous books I didn't know the history of the characters. However, I liked the story but did find it seemed to be a little slow, and dragged out a bit too much time between parts of the story.

I felt so sorry for South being so damaged that he was so scared to fall in love. Mia seemed a bright bubbly character most of the time who had a major crush on South at the beginning and was so lucky to get together with him. Taking into account his fear of relationships I was surprised that South fell in love with her so quickly, but I think that his feelings towards her are covered in a previous book.

I felt like I wanted to shake Mia, being so untrusting of South, believing the evil Rita so easily and being so scared to tell South that she was pregnant..have more confidence in yourself girl!

Overall this was an interesting story exploring the behind the scenes lives of rockstars and the women who love them. Having read this book I will definitely go back and read the others in the series.

I received an ARC and this is my honest reveiw.

Can love save his damaged soul?

Pet photographer, Mia fell hard for rock star, South, the first time she saw him in a magazine. So begins her quest to seduce him for a night of hot sex. South seems like his isn't interested in Mia, but he has secretly been crushing on her for some time now. One night at a party, the two give in to their lust and have some mind blowing sex. While relationships aren't normally his thing, South can't deny his feelings for Mia. Can they get past his painful, damaged childhood and find a way to be together? Mia has to decide if she can trust him with her heart and a secret that she is carrying. Really great story! Lots of twists. I did receive a free copy of this book to read, and this is my honest review.

I have had to start and stop and redo this review because I feel my heart breaking each time I start.
South, the wolf pup, breaks your heart with the damage he has had a lifetime of enduring by someone who was supposed to love him and take care of him. You can feel his pain, his emotional angst of confronting feelings he has never had before. His sense of awe at finding home but not realizing what that is and shying away.
His saving grace is the quiet in his head, the romance in his kiss, the music that roams in his head. His Mia.
This story takes you on a journey of discovery, a crazed stalker and finding your own piece of family.

I read and reviewed a copy of this book.

South doesn't do relationships; he's a one night stand only kind of guy. Mia is a friend of a friend and wants a chance with South, even if it's only one night. To both their surprises, South gets one taste of Mia and keeps coming back for more.

It's a beautiful story. Though they have to overcome their obstacles and both have their stupid moments during the story, the end is perfect. Once South gets his head out of his butt, he's a gem.

Great characters and story. Loved it!

2.5 Stars - I am not as enthralled with this book as others. In fact at one point I wanted kick South -south of his less used brain. Which is sad because parts of the book were really good. Mia chasing a rock star was a welcomed change since she was from the inner circle and not a groupie, most of my enjoyment came at the beginning of the book. The book went "South" (pun intended) for me with the "Watcher" and both Mia's & South's reactions, thought process and ultimate decision making. Sorry but not for me

Great read

This is one of the better rockstar books I have read. The author really knew how to portray South’s thoughts and feelings through his music and Mia was his muse. Loved how Mia helped draw him out of his shell. I took away a star bc of the baby situation. Maybe Mia didn’t make the best decision about the baby, but South just threw a temper tantrum for way too long. The author dragged out the tantrum for too many chapters. I will say, the intimate scenes were smoking. Definitely recommend.

Unrelenting love

A love story that makes you feel like home. Two lost souls just existing in this world until they finally make that move that starts their long journey to finding their happy ever after.
I laughed, I hurt with Mia, I understood South's pain and anger. I cheered Mia on and prayed she would stay strong and patient. Sanne is culmination of two lost souls finding their soul mate in life. My heart is filled with happiness now that I have come to the end of the book. Oh wait, there's always room for more South and Mia❤️

This romance is a about an South, a rockstar and his stalker girlfriend, Mia. Both are emotionally immature, make quick often childish decisions that are hard to overcome. Their story had some depth but frequently went in so many directions it was easy to get lost. I think a young adult reader would enjoy this sexy tale the most.
