Not worth reading

Did not like this series, although I read the entire thing. the characters were predictable and boring and the sex was way too much!!! the little drama they had went too fast and the story did not have enough of a plot. Thumbs down!!

Loved the book! I fell in love with Kane and Leslie instantly but I hate that it left u wondering what ever happened to Chase and who vandalized the shelter the last time and please tell me there is another book that finishes telling us that Kane and Leslie's last pregnancy was good....left feeling some type of way

Amazing book

This story kept you going. There was so many things that happened to one couple that you wondered if they would make it thru everything. Well written and you will not want to put it down. Recommend to all.

Nothing like 50 Shades

If you loved 50 shades this is nothing like it. The story line was a childish version of 50 shades. Add in the constant spelling mistakes made reading to the end annoying.

This was nonstop bad shit happening to the same person over and over and over again.

The books are short and focus on a single bad thing happening to the FMC, Leslie. She owns a dog rescue/shelter in Long Beach, CA and hopes to buy the space next to her shop to expand. Well, a hunky man named Kane swoops in and buys it out from under her. She’s livid and goes to give this too hot man a piece of her mind but he turns the tables on her and begins a sizzling on-off will they won’t they relationship.

Leslie seems like a pretty with-it character and it’s sad that the author felt she had to put her through bad scenario after bad scenario. Things went to shit fast and just got worse; almost as if the author had a roulette wheel of “Bad Stuff to Regular People” and she spun it every time she wanted to write. There’s a recurring bad guy throughout the series and then of course there’s the relationship itself which has its own issues.

Kane is a secret billionaire (duh) who owns and runs a tattoo shop. It’s explained how he became a billionaire and I appreciate that it had something to do with his trade and actually made sense for his character. There’s an okay amount of development for his character. The reader learns why he’s closed off (more bad shit to good people) and doesn’t want a relationship with Leslie. It’s hard to find one of these KU romances that actually has character development in them so this was nice.

Leslie is a badass. She’s got herself together, owns a business, is educated, has an awareness about herself and how she wants to be perceived in the world. She isn’t this teenybopper virgin who’s so shy that the MMC has to devour her innocence. Leslie is a powerful female and I like that shit. She knows she is sexually attracted to Kane but she knows he’s hiding something; while she isn’t wrong, it is also some pretty heavy stuff.

For the most part, this series goes through at a decent speed, what a real relationship between adults would look like - for the most part. It is a work of fiction so there’s a few suspend beliefs here and there but not too many. Surprisingly, there weren’t too many grammatical/editorial errors in this digital version.

This is a bundle offered through my Kindle Unlimited subscription and is combined with The Broken Innocence Series by the same author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What can I say I loved this book, I loved the characters Leslie and Kane. They had such a connection with each other and even though at the beginning Leslie couldn't stand Kane because he took her chance away from having the property next door which he turned into a tattoo shop. Leslie soon got to fall for kane's charms, Their banter was very entertaining and even though Kane kept trying to pull away from her he kept being pulled back into being with her due to different circumstances she kept finding her self in. I loved the story line ,kept me intrigued all through the story, there were sad parts ,happy parts, scary parts and steamy parts too. Overall I loved the book and recommend my family and friends read it too. Pick up your self a copy you won't be disappointed. Thankyou Bridget Taylor I will definitely read more of your books. A few spelling mistakes but otherwise a great read. A lovely HEA too.

THiS is the ONLY way this “series” should be sold - as one! IF you put the entire series into ONE book — rather than 5 separate books — then this overall story is ok…. I hate this “trend” of one story spread over numerous books… especially when it’s only one storyline and really only one set of characters.
The biggest problem for me though was that I listened to this “series” on audible…. This audio drove me insane!! I tried different speeds and it did not help! There needs to be a difference in scenes — heck at least take a breath — there needs to be a difference in voices vs thoughts — there needs to be a difference in characters — which definitely can be done by a single narrator. I really hate to be critical of some doing their job, but this just ruined this series for me and it was PAINFUL for me to get through!

DNF. I was rolling my eyes after the third or fourth “oh my starbursts” comment. I didn’t even finish book one as I could get past the whiplash that was the first few conversations between Kane and Leslie. I endured her childish yelling about him killing her dreams. But when he just ups and kisses her like he has the right to put hands on her, then interrupts her date to work her up then leave her hanging so she’ll only think of him, to tell her the next day that he’s not really into a relationship but they can fuck, and THEN after she storms off he comes begging her to give him a chance, but not really because he isn’t ready for a relationship but kind of because he wants her but not enough but doesn’t want her to want someone else…like what childish teenager wrote this drivel? I’m sorry, this immaturity in both main characters was enough to turn me off the whole damn series.

Emotional contemporary romance, inked alpha male

This was a new author for me but I really loved this! The Fm Mc is sassy and snarky won't put up with BS. Loads of neg things happens to her but do not break her. I'm not usually into contemporary romance more fantasy romance, and surprisingly as I have that thought halfway maybe 3/4 threw the fm mc has a thought that their relationship is similar to finding their mate, that humans have soul mates, their so in tune with one another in their relationship. I really want to know what happens with Kanes little brother and his best friend, maybe a spin off..

I really enjoyed this series, it was a rollercoaster of events starting with Leslie and Kane meetings for the first time.
This read kept me hooked and was a really good series, nice plot, great characters and a great story line. There was lots of angst, tragedy, and mis deeds. So much love, friendship and romance. I did find the books to have a lot of detailed sex scenes which I have to admit, even as an erotic reader I found repetitive and too much. I also found grammatical errors to be a bit off putting, and lastly some of the scenes didn’t make chronological sense, however getting past that I found this to be a very sweet love story with lots of twists and turns.

Disappointed

The storyline was okay, but seemed rushed in some places. The grammatical errors were in abundance and the author seemed to forget certain details shared in previous books, for example the description of a certain male appendage changed with each book and the fact that in the first book the mom was white and the dad was black, but during one of the final scenes, the mom was described as having dark skin. I finished it because I just can’t stand not finishing a book, but it made me not want to read anything else by this particular author, sorry.

Absolutely a must-read.

From beginning to the end, Taylor takes you on a journey of the relationship between Kane and Leslie from their stormy beginning to a breathtaking ending.

With all romance novels, we often find the author laying out the same scenes. These series keep you thinking of what could possibly happen next. There is no inclination of the outcome, but the author builds a story and provides such details that you can envision every scene.

I am sure everyone will enjoy this series.

Good story but needs work

The story had several inconsistencies through the series. Penis measurements were 8 inches in one book, 9 in another, 10 in another and then in the final book back to 9. What happened to the dog he picked out for himself in the 4th book disappeared in the 5th. Also, the brother that was the storyline in one book and seemed to not be so relevant by the end. All 5 books would end very abruptly. These would written as 3 good books because the story was good just not buying 5 books. Glad they were free.

I’m sorry

This book series really had me interested until I started reading. I’m sorry I don’t like to say bad things but it was just to scattered, the editing errors were annoying, the characters were just shallow. The potential for this to be great is there... but not as it is. Sorry.

Average

I was excited to start this series as I love a good bad boy story, but I felt like the story didn’t really develop the characters and the storyline as deeply as I prefer. Seemed to go from just met to I love you in just a few chapters without making you fall in love with them also.

Long

I found this series to be too drawn out and long. I stuck it out but almost quit a few times . Sex is fine but repetitious , ridiculous sex just too fill paperback becomes especially boring and receives an eye roll and gets skipped over. Sorry ,hate to be harsh but ...

A high school writing assignment?

This book (books according to the author) is full of grammatical errors and every danger trope you could imagine. The thing is, once you get to the danger, it also immediately resolves with no further mention (except one). This book reads like a smut-filled high school writing assignment.

Great read

This was quite the drama filled story. Every time I thought, okay, that's it. Nope, something else would happen. There are some minor editing issues. The intense connection between these two was incredible!

A very steamy book, but the author needs to get a tape measure that doesn't stretch!!
In the 1st book he was 8" in the second he was 9" and in the 3rd he was 10" all I can say is wow!!!

Loved this and Kane & Leslie are fab characters, so much trauma for one couple though but it kept me wanting more. It would have been good to see Dylan and did he end up with Evan and what happened to Chase. I’m not sure if another book is in the making to cover that.

I was into it for the first 3 books and then I lost interest. I found it to be unbelievable that all these events happened one after the other. I like to place myself in the characters shoes, I just couldn't do it with this one.
