This was awful. I couldn’t get pass the odd way the characters spoke. It was something out of a 1950s sitcoms or something. The characters were flat, the story was formulaic, and again the dialogue was corny. The characters speak in a hodgepodge of out dated phrases and euphemism that totally pulled me out of the story.
I was happy I decided to finally read this book.I had it for a little while and didn't know I was going to like it as much as I did. It was really good and kept me on the edge of my seat. I really would like to read more about this family. I didn't want it to end! Thanks for sharing great job.
Wow this is just as captivating and entertaining as I thought it would be. It's suspenseful, with characters that are charming with sizzling passion for each other. I read the third book first and it made me want to read the other books in the series and it's everything that I enjoy reading.
This story wasn't compelling enough, it took me far to long to complete it. I read it because it was part of a series to another book I wanted to read. So I needed to move on so I finally picked it back up.
I don't know why it just didn't call to me, so days/weeks went by, and now I've finally finished
Adrian rescue Faith from a near fatal hit and run car accident. After having her injuries checked, he invites her to stay at his ranch until she has recovered. Faith didn't realize how much Adrian and his family would impact her life.
This book had lots of drama, laughter and good love scenes. I'm glad they didn't jump into bed right away. I'm a first time reader of this author. I'll read more of her works
I absolutely loved this story. I like the fact this was an actual story and not just filled with sex scenes. This story kept my attention from start to finish and I can’t wait to read about the other brothers.
Luv is where you find it. Faith had an angel watching out for her. If it wasn't for the hit and run she was involved in she wouldn't have found the man of her dreams.
I enjoyed this book and it's characters. The main couple both come from loving supportive families. they both have experienced heartbreak that prepared them for true love. A great book , a quick read
3.0⭐️ This is a story about Faith (BW) who is traveling across country in an attempt to make a change in her life. On her way to Dallas, she is hit by a drunk driver and rescued by Adrian (WM), who saves her by pulling her from a car that is leaking gas and blows up. Adrian, along with his brothers Steve and Joey own a ranch and cattle. Their Aunt Bea lives at the ranch too. Faith ends up staying in a small cottage on the property so she can recuperate from her injuries. That is how the story begins.
MY LIKES: I loved the premise. I am overjoyed that other black people and minorities resided in the town of Elliot and in nearby areas outside of town (Typically, the black woman is the only minority around). I really loved the characters of Faith, Adrian and his brothers, Aunt Bea and a host of other good people in that town. This is a new-to-me author of BWWM romances, and I think she has a lot of potential.
MY DISLIKES:
Very, Very slow burn--too slow in that regard. It was tedious. Virtually no development of Faith's character. There is a great deal about Matthew brothers, and I got a sense of who they are, their personalities, etc. Not so with Faith's character. Her personality is, well, I dunno. She's nice, that's all I got (grammatically incorrect but ya'll get it)! I know next to nothing about her background. Too many obvious, extraneous details that were self-explanatory. There were a few inconsistencies in the timelines. So many editing mistakes, some of which I highlighted. They speak for themselves (although I did vent)! Also, there is a difference between their and there, for goodness sake.
This review may be a tad harsh, but perhaps this author will be more cognizant of these constructive criticisms and make some changes in future books. I would love to read sequels that center around Steve and Joey Matthew, and visit with Adrian and Faith.
Despite my dislikes delineated above, I still want to give this author a chance. I think I could really enjoy her works with some changes in editing and character development.
