‘ENZO' is a short, standalone, sexy romance novel by K. Webster. Spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives.’

Jenna is way older than her years, she's been forced to grow up way before her time, she may be a teenager but she acts more mature than most due to the fact that she's been in the foster care system for years, shunted from one foster family to the next, praying that she'll just get a break in life. She's just shy of her eighteenth birthday so she's hoping life may start looking up for her. I'm simply counting down until the day I turn eighteen so I can make my own rules.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

She has a much older, devastatingly attractive man Enzo that is her social worker, who tries to help her anyway he can without stepping over lines but with an attraction simmering away in the background his restraint can only hold on for so much.

What I liked about Jenna the most was the fact that she wasn't your typical eye rolling annoying teenager, she had a heart of gold, which the system never took away from her. But she was strong where she needed to be. So she was the perfect balance.

A beautiful broken girl, so worthy of love and affection it makes my heart ache.

Enzo was such a compassionate, understanding, caring, charismatic man, he could read Jenna like a book. He knew when to step in and take care of her, he knew when he step back and give her space, these two were just perfect together. A HEA ending that had my heart full!!

I went into this anticipating that my taboo fetish would feed my kinky little heart, but sadly that didn’t happen for me with this, it was very tame, and I know what this author is capable of, so that left me slightly disappointed BUT if that taboo tag was removed and I didn’t have any preconceived perceptions this would’ve gotten a higher rating from me. But what I got instead, was a steamy, quick, sexy read, as soon as I started it I fell in love with the storyline, the characters, the little twists and turns, the emotional ups and downs, this had me turning the pages and devouring the words in record time. Once I’d started I couldn’t put it down. So many parts in this book that I absolutely loved. All in all I’d tag this as a romance.

I can’t wait for you guys to read it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Life is going to try to push you under the water—stand on you, smashing you to the ground way down below. It’s dark and cold, and you’ll feel as though you’re suffocating. You’ll be alone. So fucking alone. Don’t drown.

ENZO was another decadent and yummy treat from K. Webster’s ”Taboo World” series of books. Every story involves May/December wildly erotic romances between couples who should be forbidden fruit to each other, with over the top ”happily ever afters”.

This time the romance is between a beautiful girl in the foster care system, who is a month away from her eighteenth birthday, and her much older, devastatingly handsome social worker, Enzo. For the first time I actually really liked the young Heroine. The author gave this girl a beautiful heart and instead of making her a spoiled and vapid teenager, Jenna was a young woman who puts the needs of a sweet orphaned baby girl above her own. Jenna and Cora’s bond added heart to the story.

I think this one may be my favorite. I love that these are quick and entertaining reads and just really help to relax the brain after having to endure so much stress that only work seems to bring to my life. It’s fun escapism.

Here are my overall ratings:

Hero: 4
Heroine: 4
Plot: 4
Angst: 3
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5

ENZO releases on January 28th!

Enzo is a caseworker, and he gets Jenna's case.
Jenna is 17 years old, almost 18, when that happen, she has to leave the foster home and Cora...
She's taking care of her since she was a baby, she's a sister to Jenna, but Cora sees her like her mummy, they have always been together.
This is a sweet, so sweet story.
Jenna wants to adopt Cora, and it's a painful path.
Jenna also discovers her father.
Enzo is so kind, caring, relaying guy to her.
They don't get involved until Jenna has 18 years.
description
It's sexy and steamy, but with a great story.
I have to admit, a tear rolled down my face in some parts of this book.
description
There are a lot of characters from the previous books.
Loved Daniel.
We also meet Winter and a light mention of Lauren in this one.
Dane and Enzo were my favourites, can't decide which one was the best.

Enzo is a short, taboo treat that felt like a special gift of deliciousness! There's just something about an age gap story done right that really hits the spot. Surprisingly, this wasn't a smutfest. It was full of heart and character development, while still packing plenty of heat.

Jenna was an unhappy foster kid, bouncing from bad home to bad home. In one of these homes, she finds her heart in a sweet child and decides that when she ages out, she's not leaving alone. The only other person to make her time pass easier is Enzo. He's her super hot caseworker and he goes above and beyond for his charge. He knows he shouldn't feel the way he does. He knows that she's forbidden fruit. But when she turns 18, all bets are off.

Jenna's situation was heartwrenching and I loved how empathetic Enzo was with her. This story was full of passion and compassion and while it was taboo, I couldn't help but realize how romantic it was. Their journey might have been rough, and the author definitely put these characters through their paces, their happy ending was hard won and worthwhile. I can't get enough of this author's writing and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

3.5 Hope in Another Stars ⭐

Enzo had the bare bones to be a sexy romantic read without having to be forced into a taboo slot. I adored both characters, but the hero being portrayed as gentle and kind, and then turning into an alpha dominant in the bedroom was unrealistic at best.

The guilt that I found a forever home and these kids never do, never ceases to end.

There's something special about this story. It’s a gut-wrenching look into the foster system that tugs on the heartstrings. In this instance we have caseworker Enzo who truly cares. His job consumes him, and he goes to extraordinary lengths for the children in his ward. Where he tries he tries constantly to find safe environments for them, some cases fall through the cracks.

“Don’t drown.” Life is going to push you under the water, stand on you, smashing you to the ground way down below. You’ll be alone. So fucking alone. Don’t drown.

Jenna is a delicate situation. Nearing the end of her foster care, she is barely hanging on. Having also taken another foster kid under her wing (baby Cora), the clock is ticking. She no longer has just herself to worry about. Being at the stage of ageing out of the system, will force her to leave Cora behind.

With all the help Enzo bestows on Jenna and her quest for independence and happiness, it was inevitable that they connected romantically. There was never anything inappropriate about Enzo and Jenna getting together. Yes, it was unethical, but it happens. Especially since this author took the time to give us a complete backstory as well as a future together. The gentle lead up was perfect.

He kisses me like he has the power to chase away my demons and sadness. I kiss him back like I’m holding him to it.

Thanks to Cassandra for another awesome buddy read!

This really isn’t a love story in the traditional sense. Sure, there’s romance but mostly this story is about a girl; Jenna who grew up in foster care fighting to keep a tiny girl who considers Jenna her mommy.

I pride myself for having almost no triggers. I’ve managed to get through so many dark books unscathed. But this book right here, broke me down harder than any I’ve read before. For that alone this book gets 4 stars.

This reminds me so much of my job, I can’t tell you how many conversations I’ve had with teens about all these issues, how their guardians either don’t believe, just don’t listen or don’t care. And when everything just seems to fall apart like in Jenna’s case, it breaks my damn heart.

What kills me worse is the state giving horrid people money to pawn off these poor children. It fucking guts me to think of babies and kiddos experiencing neglect or worse abuse. So, of course when I’m first introduced to Enzo I’m already angry with him for placing them in a crap home. The system is broken and children’s well-being is the last priority.

As for the romance? I wish we got to know more about Enzo, like I don’t even know how old he is. And honestly I can barely tell you what Jenna looks like. And even while I’m not the biggest fan of angst, I wouldn’t have minded some before these two jumped from foster kid/caseworker to lovers.

In the end it was sweet and loving and as always it was a happily ever after.

Enzo was the quick sexy treat that we were all craving from this author. With just a sprinkle of forbidden love, a few obstacles, and a once in a lifetime love that was guaranteed to withstand the unthinkable, you’ve got yourself one entertaining read.

Jenna has seen and been through a lot in her eighteen years and because of that, she’s had to grow up and learn to take care of herself. Going back and forth to different foster homes would be difficult for anyone but when you have another person that you have to look out for, the challenge is much greater. Her one saving grace is a man who not only has her best interest at heart, but is truly a good person and would do anything for her. Unfortunately that good man, is off limits.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

“Sometimes the law doesn’t understand love. It has rules for love. But love is lawless. Love is unaware of social norms. Love doesn’t give a damn. Love just does whatever it wants.”

Enzo has everything a guy could need right now. A good job, loving parents , and a few close friends who he considers family. Like Jenna, he’s also seen a lot but the difference now is that he has the power to do good things and help others. But what happens when the one girl who you’ve sworn to protect, suddenly becomes more to you?

I have to admit that I didn’t think that I was going to love Jenna when I first started this book but boy was I wrong! This girl was FIERCE! She was protective, strong willed , and she stopped at nothing when it came to taking care of a loved one. I loved her strength and I admired her when she showed her vulnerability because that was not easy for her. These two were a perfect match and you felt for them and their situation but you knew everything was going to be okay because they loved and they loved HARD.

If you’re a fan of taboo forbidden romance, then you should give this quick a try.

3.5 stars!

Another KW that I enjoyed! Even though this one was a bit tame on the OTT and smut, still good. We have the age gap and a bit taboo since the H is the h caseworker.

I liked that this one was more focus on the relationship and the drama going around Enzo and Jenna. Even though I loved Enzo I was kinda missing the more of alpha attitude with him. I mean I did understand his situation he was risking so much as it was. On the other hand Jenna was such a strong girl she never gave up on the hard curve balls life threw at her. I especially loved how fierce she protected Cora. Omg! Little Cora was the heart of this book.

Even though I didn’t love it I still enjoyed the heck out of this book. ♥️

Enzo was actually a pretty tame book compared to the books I'm used to reading from this authors and it was actually a pretty nice change. It was a little slow moving in the beginning where the story was more focused on Jenna moving around but once I started seeing the connection between her and Enzo it picked up and I became captivated.

Overall, definitely a book I recommend reading. There are also characters from some of Ms. Websters other books that make an appearance so if you've read those you'll get a happy little bonus with catching up with those characters.

I adore this book. It is the perfect length. It isn’t long and drawn out, yet you also feel like you got the complete story. I love how all the Taboo Treat books tie together in one way or another. K. Webster is just a fabulous writer in all of her books!

Jenna is a foster child. When she is fifteen, a baby named Cora comes to the home she is staying at and she almost immediately takes a care to her. They bounce around the foster care together and Jenna becomes a mom to Cora. When Jenna ages out of the system, however, they are separated.

Enzo is Jenna and Cora’s newly assigned case worker. Jenna has a crush on him and they develop a platonic relationship before it becomes romantic when she turns eighteen. I love how much he cares for both of them.❤️

Overall, this was a super sweet book. Taboo, of course, but tasteful. I highly suggest you read it!:):):):):)

Another stellar #TabooTreat from K. Webster!

We return to the dirty little town in another installment of this connected series. If you've been devouring them as they get released then you'll remember Enzo, the case worker who is struggling with having to place a handful of foster kids into homes.

This #TabooTreat delivered big on the taboo. Enzo was not only the case worker, but there was a sizable age-gap. If you're like me, the forbidden and the age thing is gonna ensure you're love this book.

But this isn't just an erotic read. We get to watch Enzo struggle with his desire to do his job within the rules, even when he knows that more is needed. We watch Jenna struggle to stay strong, to fight for Cora. And then toss in a little bit of humor from Sophia's character (she stole a few of the scenes).

Overall, a fun and dirty reads. My bags are packed and I'm ready to relocate to Taboo Town.

Enzo is a social worker who helps orphan kids find home. Jenna is one of his case. He tries to help her and in-fact goes out of the way to help her. It was not enough but he did his best.

They keep hugging each other. First comfort hugs, then innocent hugs, then the friendly hugs and then the hugs become something more. Then they kiss. But Enzo tells her to be patient and wait till she is eighteen which she will be after a month.

The hero was a good guy and there is no mention of other women. So this book was safe.
Good but dull.
I lost interest and skimmed the later parts. It’s not a bad one time read though.

“Love is lawless. Love is unaware of social norms. Love doesn’t give a damn.”

Enzo is the story of caseworker Lorenzo Tauber and Jenna Pruitt, the 18-year old girl he is responsible for.
Jenna has been bounced between foster homes all her life I’m a foster kid. Alone and unloved and at an unfair advantage. and is simply counting down until the day I turn eighteen so I can make my own rules.

When Enzo is assigned as the new caseworker, he tries, within his abilities, to help Don’t drown. Don’t drown. Don’t fucking drown. Let me save you. and along the way starts to care deeply for Jenna.

Jenna is gravitating toward Enzo and starts to care for him too and they fall hard for each other.
Jenna’s not some wishy-washy teen. She’s responsible, mature beyond her years.

This short story is told in dual POV's alternating between Enzo and Jenna.
It's a all to real story about children in foster care and hopefully they too will be equally lucky for find a constant of people who will care for them.

Ahhhhh.

I do love me these taboo treats. They are quick, dirty, crazy reads that always hit the right spot for me and this one? Well, this one ended up pulling a few heartstrings along the way as well and had me devouring every word.

Having met Enzo, Jenna and Cora in Dane, I was already fully invested in their story from the get go and I swear it was all kinds of goodness. Enzo is such a good man. He’s compassionate, empathetic and determined. He’s also all kinds of alpha smexy when it counts. Jenna, while wary and cautious of everyone, she still hopes, and is determined to obtain a better future for herself and Cora. Enzo and Jenna’s journey to their HEA was a fun one, an emotional one, but fun. It’s more slow burn than insta and I loved how everything progressed between them. The taboo aspect is obvious and done well and I loved how everything turned out for them.

This was a fun, quick read and though there was some drama, most of which surrounded the living situations Jenna and Cora had to deal with, the angst was low. There are quite a few characters/couples from previous taboo treats that pop up in this one, which is typical, but this one can be read as a standalone, though I do recommend reading Dane first if at all possible. As for the characters themselves, I loved catching up with them ~ even if I have to go back and remember how I knew them all in the beginning ~ and there is a new one in the mix that I can’t wait to learn more about!

Enzo was another short, delicious taboo read from the queen of taboo, K. Webster. I enjoyed their chemistry and how protective Enzo was of Jenna. This story had heart and the delicious heat I've come to expect from this author. I couldn't get enough!

Jenna has had it rough, thrown into the fostercare system at a young age. She never seemed to get the care and love that she's needed, except from one person - her caseworker - Lorenzo. He has always had her back and seen the pain and suffering she has gone through being tossed from one unfit home to another. But when feelings develop and lines get crossed, will they be able to keep their hands to themselves?

I enjoyed this book alot. It was sweet and sexy with a dash of taboo. I can't wait for Ms. Webster's next one!! Bravo!

If you’re looking for a short, taboo, hot sexy smut novella, then you should read Enzo.
I liked it a lot, mainly because it has a plot, a story behind the taboo thing - age gap, barely legal heroine and he’s also her social worker.
And it’s Alexa Riley kind of hot, so there you go. 😉

Enzo it's another novel by K.Webster. A standalone novel told in dual POV. It's part of a Taboo series whit a HEA ending...The novel tells the story of Jenna and Enzo.

Jenna is a young girl with a painful life and past. She was abandoned by her mother when she was born, and so she became a child of the system. She went through several foster families. That's how she gets her little sister Cora. She was forced to grow and mature ahead of time. She is a real woman, a strong and sexy woman. A real temptation for every man.

Enzo is Jenna's caseworker and he is not a blind man. He can't help himself. Is not hard to notice such a forbidden fruit. He's trying to take care of Jenna and her little sister the best way he could.

I must confess I was expecting something else, something darker, kinky-er and true taboo, but unfortunately it wasn't like that. It was an easy steamy read. I thought through the reading I was scared that something bad will happen to Jenna and her little sister, but fortunately, it wasn't like that.

Jenna was a great girl with a golden heart, although she suffered all her life as a child, she put her little sister's needs beyond her needs. She was a true mother to her.
Enzo was a real gentleman, he always took great care of them, or at least he tried his best. He never took advantage of Jenna or the situation in which she was.

So if you are looking for something easy, steamy, quick and emotional read, this book right here is the one for you.

I recommend this book! 😉

4 Don’t Drown stars!!!

K. Webster is most definitely a one-click author for me. I absolutely adore her books. Without reading the blurb, I know I am guaranteed one possessive-alpha and a strong-ass heroine. And this book was that and more!

Enzo is a short sweet romance between Jenna (a foster kid) and Lorenzo (her handsome social-case worker). In true K. Webster style, this is a May/December romance. Which I love. Jenna has a few months left until her 18th birthday when Enzo becomes her new case worker. Enzo becomes extremely protective of Jenna and Cora and wants to find them the safest home possible. Cora is the two-year-old toddler that lives with Jenna. Their bond is so beautiful. And the way Jenna looks after Cora is so selfless, no one can separate them.

I just loved Enzo. He is easily a lovable hero. And he is genuinely a good guy who was also in the foster care before getting adopted by a loving family. Although I didn’t expect him to have such a dirty mouth, I was pleasantly surprised. His dirty words made the sex hot AF...
Jenna was such a strong heroine. She wasn’t overly rebellious nor was she a push over. She protected the kids who were too young to protect themselves. And she never lost hope for a better life for Cora and her.

”Don’t drown.” Life is going to try to push you under the water— stand on you, smashing you to the ground way down below. It’s dark and cold, and you’ll feel as though you’re suffocating. You’ll be alone. So fucking alone. Don’t drown.

Enzo is the most recent taboo treat from K Webster's glorious taboo world. This book ended with me hugging my kindle. I'm not going to provide any details until release, but in the meantime, I highly recommend reading the other taboo treats if you haven't already. These books give me life.

Although they are all standalone, I like to read them as close to in order as possible. Especially since there are so many overlapping characters. Here they are in suggested reading order.

Enzo by K Webster is the story of Jenna and Enzo.
Jenna is in the foster care system but she is about to turn 18 soon. Enzo is a social worker who has taken a special interest in her. Jenna has never been cared for or looked after until Enzo. Due to the taboo of a relationship with him it is all above board but their feelings can't stop growing. Will Jenna find her happy ending after a tough go of it so far?
Love Ms. Webster's book and this one did not disappoint... I loved it.

This was a short read that featured a sexy forbidden romance. I have to say that it was just an ok read for me...Normally when it comes to taboo reads, I am not too picky about age differences etc..I usually take stories like this with a grain of salt and just go with the flow, seeing as it is make believe in my mind! In this particular story though, I found it a little harder to have that attitude for Enzo and Jenna.

Jenna is in foster care, and her caseworker is a sexy guy named Enzo. Jenna is about to turn 18, and be moved out of the system and into an adult situation. She has had a very tough life with most of her foster families, and during her stay she has bonded with a little girl who basically becomes Jenna's in her mind. This is all very complex...but not near as difficult as her attraction to Enzo...Jenna is not alone in her attraction...Enzo is also very drawn to this young woman as well. Sometimes we find love in unexpected places, the question is; are they willing to cross the line into taboo territory? Seeing as forbidden in K. Webster's specialty, we all know the answer to that question!!

I did have a harder time connecting with Jenna and Enzo because of their connection through the foster care system. I couldn't seem to forget the fact that he was her caseworker when their attraction started. They didn't cross the intimate line until she was of age; but it was still in my head the whole time! As far as the storyline itself though, I was absorbed into the situation with Jenna and her little foster sister Cora. I say sister...but Jenna thought of Cora as her daughter. Jenna did care for her in the homes where they both were severely neglected..so the parental bond between the two was very real. Interestingly enough, I was way more absorbed into their tale than into Enzo and Jenna's. This is kind of a first for me!! I usually am always into the romance/lust part of things.

All in all, I did enjoy the story...but it wasn't my favorite of K. Websters!!! I do like the "Taboo Treats" series of short stories she has developed though, and I will be checking out the others. I think this one was just because of the foster care situation that through me off a bit!! Each of the "Taboo Treats" stories are stand alone; but they include characters from the same world.

I put this away a little over 75% through with it. It’s my first book by K. Webster and I can see where she can write pretty well, but I lost interest once the H and h were together and they knew who the h’s father was. There just wasn’t much else going on in the story to keep me caring. I wasn’t able to be emotionally invested in the characters either. I’m fairly certain it was trying to reach a climatic point in the story that was going to shake things up, involving the h’s dad, but I just did not care enough to keep going to see it through.

Taboo- social worker gets with teenager (is client the right word 🤔 idk, but it was one of his “kids” he was in charge of) while trying to place her in different foster homes.

The H came off as being in his mid-late 20’s which didn’t feel too “off” for him to be attracted to and want to get with the girl once she’s 18. Then at one point he wonders what the h’s dad will think once he realizes that he (& in his own words, in his head), a man his same age (the dad is in his early-mid 40’s), is with his daughter. And that kinda gave me the ick. Idk, it just felt different in my mind when I thought he was a young man, influenced and confused by his biological draw to the h, who was just becoming a legal “young woman” versus an older, seasoned man that should know better than to think starting a relationship with a girl who is still in high school could ever be ok, ya know?

The heroine has been moved for the past 2-3 years with the same little girl (who was a baby when they first met) from foster home to foster home and has come to think of the baby girl as her responsibility. This is very sweet, but the idea that she’s had that she’s going to adopt this little girl once she turns 18 is not realistic at all.

Final Thoughts:
If this was on KU, I would be like sure, check it out— you might like it. 🤷‍♀️
But considering that I actually purchased this one from Amazon and other potential readers would have to do the same, I wouldn’t recommend it. There are better books out there worth spending your money on. 👍

Webster’s taboo stories are always a pleasure, when you enter this world you’re guaranteed to get insta sexy love and an HEA tooth decay worthy and that’s just the way I like it. They’re nice interludes in between, I’m glad to learn more about these people and I look forward to seeing more of these stories coming.

❤~🌟~❤ 5 HEART-SLAYING STARS! ❤~🌟~❤

“I won’t let you drown."

K Webster never fails to DAZZLE me with her powerfully addictive love stories that tantalize, titillate and touch my heart and soul.

But this book? Oh my word…it struck a chord so deep inside of me that I have been rendered BREATHLESS!

ENZO, which is set in the author’s wildly popular Taboo World, truly hits you so hard in the feels your heart will be BURSTING! So, if you are merely expecting a SHORT AND SMUTTY PLEASURE-READ, you may be in for quite a surprise. Because while this book surely entertains, and delivers on the sugary sweetness, forbidden romance and filthy hot erotic interludes, that’s just SCRATCHING THE SURFACE of what this book truly has to offer!

In short, this taboo age-gap romance is about Jenna Pruitt, a scrappy teenage foster kid who has had a hard luck life but then her bleak , uncertain future takes an unexpectedly hopeful turn when she falls hopelessly in love with her kind, ruggedly handsome, much older caseworker!

Gah! K. Webster’s depiction of this beautifully nuanced ingenue was PHENOMENAL. Jenna is such a warrior and despite the fact that she’s barely 18, she is an OLD SOUL who has endured more in her short life than many experience in a lifetime. Given up for adoption immediately after birth, Jenna has been bounced around from foster home to foster home and most of them have NOT been a walk in the park.

Nevertheless, this fierce young spitfire just has such guts, grit and INNATE GOODNESS, it’s awe-inspiring . I LOVED HER MADLY and was so moved by the fact that while she is lost and a bit broken inside, and has felt unloved and unworthy her whole life, in all the ways that matter she is a true survivor!

But that’s not to say she does not have her rough days. Too many to count, in fact.

Yet even though living day by day amid such hardship has taken its toll there is indeed hope on the horizon . For amid the pain and fear, desperation and aching loneliness, she has two lifelines that give this world-weary girl a reason to KEEP FIGHTING!

First, there’s her baby “sissy” Cora, a fellow foster child who is not related to her by blood, but this sweet toddler is hers in EVERY WAY THAT MATTERS. And if anyone tries to tear Jenna and her beloved “banshee baby” apart, watch out because this mama bear has a MIGHTY ROAR! The bond between these soul sisters had me weeping throughout, and in my option, was the emotional epicenter of the book.

And then there’s Lorenzo “Enzo” Tauber, Jenna’s beloved hero!! Despite the complicated nature of their relationship, she finds in this sweetly chivalrous man the HANDSOME WHITE KNIGHT that she’s been craving all her life. He's always just a phone call away , whenever she needs him, and when forbidden desire ignites, it TAKES THEM BOTH BY STORM! However, even though Jenna is about to age out of the system, it is hardly smooth sailing for this beleaguered duo!

Enzo is a different kind of K. Webster hero, not your typical growly, chest-thumping Caveman Alpha. But as the story progresses and his relationship with Jenna morphs from purely platonic to torridly passionate, this kind, caring, irresistibly sexy caseworker’s dominant side emerges, not to mention his FEROCIOUS protective steak! And I just fell so hard for this this WARM, CUDDLY, GENTLE-HEARTED SAVIOR!

Having grown up in the system himself as a young, scared, beaten and half-starved boy, he knows better than anyone how painful it is to feel like a cast off. He fared much better than Jenna and so many other kids by finding a loving adoptive family at the age of nine, but his compassion and empathy for what his foster kids growing up in the trenches are going through really resonates! Instead of allowing his past to turn him bitter and jaded and disillusioned, he channeled his experience in a positive way and his life’s purpose, his CRUSADE, is to champion foster kids and do whatever he can to make a difference in the world. Like seriously, how HOT is that?!

I must give a shutout to K. Webster, who should truly be commended for penning a book which sheds such a raw and unflinching light on the plight of kids in the foster care system within the framework of this short and sweet and profoundly moving novel. And while I get that this is a snapshot glimpse into two fictional foster girls’ lives, in my heart it’s a true representation of the hundreds of thousands of children in the foster care system today. So many of which are lost, downtrodden, scared, oftentimes feeling unwanted and unloved, and are in desperate need of a safe, secure and loving forever families.

That said, while ENZO is so utterly gut-wrenching at times I was choking back tears, rest assured this is NOT a Debbie Downer of a book.. There are plenty of EMOTIONAL HIGHS, FUN, WITTY BANTER, PANTY-MELTING HOT CLANDESTINE TRYSTS, and WARM FUZZY FEELS throughout! Speaking of humor, I especially love how all of KW’s taboo treats are set in the same world-- I got a huge kick out of the appearances by Coach Long, Winter, August, Nick, Sophia, Drew et al. It's such a blast when all these characters’ lives intersect and how they circle the wagons in times of trouble! There are also some shockingly poignant twists along the way that gave me CHILLS, and of course the ending had me swooning like crazy!

I will close this review with this short snippet from the book that was so HAUNTINGLY, ACHINGLY EMOTIONAL it slayed my heart and soul. It truly encapsulates for me what the authors was trying to convey by putting this book into the universe. That every single child in the world, no matter what their circumstance, DESERVES to feel worthy of love!

Lifting my head, I meet his intense stare. “I wish I’d been worth it to my mom.”

“You’re worth it,” he practically snarls. “Don’t ever think otherwise.”

BOTTOM LINE:
ENZO is a beautiful, bittersweet and utterly breathtaking Taboo Treat that I will treasure forever. Ultimately, it is a life-affirming story of hope and promise, and serves as a powerful reminder that sometimes the best families are woven by LOVE and not necessarily forged by bloodlines. So kudos, K. Webster for gifting your readers with yet another EPIC read!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
