Mae'r llyfr hwn yn werthfawr ac mae angen straeon sy'n disgrifio Alzheimer's. Yn anffodus, mae'r ysgrifen yma'n fras ac yn anygynnil. Mae'r iaith am dementia'n annerbyniol hefyd. Yn y bôn, cyfle wedi'i wastraffu yw'r llyfr.

Er oedd sawl o'r cymeriadau'n hollol gythruddol, ro'n i'n hoff iawn o'r brif themâu'r llyfr. Mae Alzheimer yn glefyd ddifrifol iawn ac mae e wir yn anodd i ofalu am aelod y teulu sy'n dioddef gyda fe. Ond do'n i ddim yn hoffi'r diwedd, aeth popeth yn rhy syml ac digwyddodd pethau'n rhy gyflym i fod yn gredadwy. Ond heblaw hynny, roedd e'n hawdd iawn i ddarllen. Do'n i ddim yn defnyddio'r rhan fwyaf o'r geiriau wedi'u cyfieithu.

I always look forward to getting to the latest book to read on the Dysgu Cymraeg courses and my experiences with then have been variable in terms of enjoyability but they are worth their absolute weight in gold for learning. And as a resource to read in measured steps alongside your level has helped me absolute no end. I’m now reading books outside of the Amdani series (‘normal’ books I suppose) which is a huge achievement for me after only a few years!

This one was probably one of my most enjoyed so far and I was so hooked into the story. It was so raw, heartfelt, at times difficult to read but also wholly compelling. And the fact I understood and followed the plot so well made me feel like a real Welsh reader! Excited to get round to the next in a couple of units time.

Very helpful for Uwch learners - great vocab and sentence structure.
The story is really good at times, but the characters often give off 'men-writing-women' vibes which is a bit of an eye-roll.

I marked it down because of the casual racism towards Cora - the only non-white character in the novel - who doesn't even get a mention in the character list, despite reappearing throughout the story and having a whole chapter dedicated to her. C'mon publishers. #JusticeForCora
