Bought this book in 1979, its final printing I believe, and found it to be a great companion in the bush. Not a large book and has somewhat been superseded by more topical guides such as the SAS Handbook, but a great guide on the basics nonetheless. Was surprised to see this guide selling for $200-$300 on Amazon and others!
