Defend Me is the third book in the Deny Me serialized novella series, I said this before but you must read them in order, or you will be totally lost and miss key points and events in their relationship.
I don't know how to explain this book without giving away spoilers and I hate doing that, because I think everyone should experience a book totally free of anything that might tamper with their reading.
Since this is final installment, you can't doubt that it will action packed and thrilling both in the bedroom and out. At the end of Destroy Me, shit hits the fan when Talia find them together. Shes upset and angry with both of them. Which I understand completely, so this complicates Mila and Roman's relationship more than it ever has. But Roman is not giving them up, but we do get to see another side to the relationship outside of the two. They have more than each other in their lives, they have to figure out how to get Talia to forgive them, while being true to one another.
Roman is very defensive he displays this more than once throughout the book. And there is a call for that some times, but I can't give away all the details. Lets just say there are people out to get them. You need to read the book to find out more.
I do recommend the entire series.

This third book in the series is an action-packed page turner. Where the first two books deal with Mila and Roman exploring their feelings while pretty much living in their Santa Cruz bubble, this book picks up the pace.
Some time has passed between the second book and this third, and we find Mila and Roman have moved into his house in LA. Roman is back to working with the ATF taskforce, trying to stop a violant gang in a dangerous drug war. Mila is starting her new job, which brings with it a surprise trip to Sacramento, where Talia lives.
She is still undecided about whether to seek her out while she’s there, when she’s thrust right in the middle of Roman’s ongoing case, as a target. With barely a chance to catch their breaths, Mila is on the run while Roman is torn between keeping her safe and hunting down those targeting her.
This book had me on the edge of my seat in nervous anticipation. The action is riveting and exciting, propelling the story forward. All the while, it also serves to solidify the bond between Roman and Mila. His pain and frustration are palpable, as are Mila’s fear and determination.
Roman truly is a force to be reckoned with, and he will stop at nothing to protect Mila and Talia, while bringing those responsible for their danger to justice. He doesn’t even care if he needs to bend the rules – or even break them.

Oh my goodness this ess the most powerful of the series. The drama after Talia finds out about Roman and Mila is not there they are just met with silence. But the drama that unfolds to bring this family back together is a doozy. Mila gets the job in L.A and is living with Roman. You think thine would be good. We have drug dealers on the loose, kidnappers, arsonist and just pure evil.
But that is some of the bad.
The good is Roman and Mila are more in love having dangerously steamy sex, dancing and jealousy burning the wick from both ends.
Roman is a big brick of a man but when he thought Mila was dead burned alive in their house he lost it, them he finds out something so surprising and welcoming he loses it more. Rage and a sense of revenge takes over his perfectly structured life his career on the line. Talia comes around only to be thrust into the world Roman has taken eight years to keep hidden.
So many things happened in this story which is left in a HFN ending a little disappointing after all they have been through not to get the total HEA.
I received a advanced copy of this story and am excited to leave this review.

Promises Kept
The last book in Her Best Friends Father Series was absolutely magnificent. Intrigue, secrets, lies, murder, and betrayal!! Everything you need In this superb read by Ayden K Morgen. Lots of twists and turns in this amazing erotic and romantic thriller that I highly recommend to all readers of this genre. Only wish I could have given more than mandatory 5 stars ⭐️
The guilt for Mila, now that Talia her Best friend, knows of the illicit romance between Mila and Talia’s Father is just too much for Mila! Can Roman protect Mila now that she has moved to LA with him? Jose Guerrero is still determined to exact his revenge on Roman but will Mila become collateral damage? Will Talia ever forgive Mila or will Mila sacrifice her future for Talia? Has his Little Warrior come to the end of her fight? Who is giving information to Guerrero and do they have a mole in the Task Force? Will they ever be free from the dangerous Francesco and the Cartel?

Overpowering and frantic passion that turns the pages red-hot. Wow, that's a demanding alpha male in there :-D
The final part of this story is full of ardent passion and daring dangers. Non-stop emotion! It's highly engaging because the love between Mila and Roman feels explosive, yet it's also due to the drug cartel closing in on them in a burst of thrills and fear. Very exciting.
I loved how caring and loving Roman can be while still being so strong and dominating. Swoon.
From the steamy relationship to the furious action, I couldn't stop reading and rooting for this couple. The author has an arsenal of bad things waiting to pour on them. What a rollercoaster!
It's an amazing and heart-pounding mix of danger, evil enemies, courageous acts and beautiful love.
Roman and Mila really earn their happily ever after through blood, sweat and sacrifice. A really worthy finale. The suspense plot still has lots of life in store. Could it be the prelude to another novel? :-)

Defend Me is the third and final book in the Her Best Friend's Father series. All three books should be read in order to keep from missing major events in Mila and Roman's story!
It's hard to say much about this book without giving away major spoilers, which I really try not to do, since I hate being spoiled while reading a review. I can tell you this episode of the series is much much longer than the other two, which just gives more time for so much more excitement!!! There is still more than enough steam to make everyone I know happy, so don't be concerned with that!
Defend Me shows the relationships that Roman and Mila have that are outside of their relationship, like work friends for each of them. It makes you realize that not only do they feel so loyal to each other, and the reader is most likely loyal to them, but also they are the type of people that others just immediately realize how honest and endearing they are. Like Roman tells Mila over and over, they are both warriors, of which is something people stand up and take notice. They definitely have my loyalty!!
I was given a copy of Defend Me for an honest review. And I can honestly say I recommend it to anyone that likes a book with a definite erotic theme (4 1/2 flames on a five flame scale!!), you don't mind spending the majority of the book sitting on the edge of your seat! I really hope you aren't a nervous nail biter though, you'll probably need a manicure by the end. But you can't blame me, I warned ya!!

Oh my! I don't think there is any woman out there who doesn't dream of having a really hot Alpha Male that is so in love with and so devoted to them that said guy would do ANYTHING to protect and defend them.

And engaging, compelling read, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat. The previous two books prepare you for what's in store, but nothing will prepare your heart for the love you feel between Mila and Roman. Imagine you favorite action-packed movie, and that's exactly what Ms. Morgen delivers in Defend Me. You will need to read the other two books prior to this one, but trust me when I say, you'll enjoy them just as much and be happy you did.

Defend Me was a great read! The action in this page-turner made me want to be able to read faster! A few surprises and such steamy scenes. I was sad to see the story end as I craved much more! Another great book by Ayden K. Morgen.

The absolutely amazing conclusion to Roman and Mila's story. The suspense is killer, the family drama is heartbreaking and the heat is what every girl dreams of!! These characters really earned their HEA.

Worth the wait
The conclusion to the three part series had me holding my breath and my heart racing. Mila and Roman are so painfully in love, I felt it too. A wonderful series by a talented author.

A great romance read with plenty of steam and suspense. Well written with a great story line and flow. Captivating from the very beginning. Loved the characters and their dynamic. I can't wait to see what's next for Mila and Roman.
