She’s been a thorn in my side since the day I met her. A new engineer who wanted to give me ideas. Okay, maybe part of my problem she’s also incredibly gorgeous. Not that anything is going to happen between us. We barely tolerate each other.
Then we got stranded in a cabin during a blizzard. Now all bets are off.
I don’t know if I’m going to kill her… or kiss her.
Olivia
He’s arrogant, impossible and the most frustrating man I’ve ever met. I wish I didn’t want him as badly as I do because I’m pretty sure I hate him. But when we’re stranded in a snow storm, he’s my only chance of survival.
The two of us… locked together for days…
I don't know if I want to kill him... or kiss him.
4.5 stars. This is great! I love that she is an intelligent engineer, and he respects her. I felt like the story went really well, and them getting together was realistic. Definitely has the “only one bed” trope.
Noah is emotionally constipated. And it takes him a while to get out of his way. But I love how the book ends with him supporting her in her career, rather than her having to sacrifice her career for him
No other women or other men, however, he does use another woman to make her jealous. Not because he goes out with the OW but because he lets the heroine think that there’s something more. It doesn’t last long though.
Good story. No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine. No cheating, the heroine thinks the Hero is involved with another woman but they are just friends. Enemies to lovers. Breadcrumbs dropped for future books in series and updates of previous characters and couples. HEA.
Yay- I finally get to Noah and Olivia! Loved the fight between them but I have to say there were many things I didn't like. No honesty between them and tons of immaturity and fear- fear of getting hurt. It wore out and the ending was similar to the rest, where they split and then the hero goes after the heroine to get his woman.
It was a bit of a worn trope. Lots of steam as they get stuck together in a storm and can't navigate the real world after that.
I am invested now, might as well finish the series? Not sure about Cal- a widower with lots of pain...
Ok. Third book. The sex got tedious in this one. I wanted more story. I don’t know anything about this author, but I’m gonna guess it’s a dude. Think I’m giving up on these.
Noah's Reckoning is the best so far in this wonderful series. Oh my goodness, the sexual tension between Noah and Olivia has been on high since these two crossed paths. Both wildly smart, these two engineers finally found their way to each other, when stranded in yet another of Zeke's cabins (the man should open up a rendezvous service for couples!) where they succumb to their undeniable attraction.
The fireworks are off the charts with Noah and his Liv and their trysts were enough to set my Kindle on fire! I loved that they could be so much more out of the sheets, with their capacity for competition at an all time-high no matter the task. I also enjoyed when they would have some pillow talk and admit feelings and share family stories. They may have taken the long road towards a bit of happiness but these two were clearly meant to be. I love their passion!!
With an ending that had me smiling from ear to ear, I'd say the dating experiment these oil rig alphas started has had the most amazing results thus far. Now it's Cal's turn and something tells me that one will be the most poignant of all.
Really well done, I happily give Noah's Reckoning a big 4 stars!!
This is a relatively new to me author, and I am enjoying her work. I really like that the main characters have flaws, and do stupid stuff that they then have to atone for. Olivia and Noah were no exception, especially Noah. I admit, I didn't really understand his reluctance for a committed relationship and the reason behind his freak-out; there was nothing really in his backstory that would explain it. But then again, there doesn't have to be a reason why someone is afraid of something - sometimes you just are. I liked the resolution of their career/personal relationship issues, in that Noah understood where she wanted to go career-wise, and once he committed to her he was committing to supporting that path for her. I have really liked this series, and am very keen to read Caleb's book.
I'm loving this series. I love all the strong alpha men!
From previous breadcrumbs you just knew Noah and Olivia were going to get together. What a fantastic book, it was so full of pure raw emotions as they both realise their feelings for each other and try to process it. Noahs big gesture, was awesome, he realised his feelings (even if it took him forever!) And he totally up rooted his life for the woman he loved and then instantly staked his claim on her in their new job. Beautiful and moving.
I'm really hanging on for Cals story I think I'm going to need a box of tissues for his story, I'm also really curious about Jenny's story.
I loved this! I kinda suspected from the obvious sexual tension between Noah/Ark and Olivia that their story would be heated but WOW was that an understatement! Their constant bickering and eventual love-making were equally entertaining. I love a good enemies to lovers romp. I felt that the author did a really good job of building up the tension slowly by hinting at it in the first two books in the series and then letting the heat between the characters finally EXPLODE at the cabin. Gotta love a good “stranded in a cabin in the snow” scenario. And that ending and the lengths Ark goes to get his lady back...swoon!
Book number 3 in the Hope Point series. Olivia takes a job in Alaska so that she can work and learn from the best. Noah "Ark" has lusted after Olivia since the first time he saw her in her sexy high heels and pencil skirt, but as one of the only women in Hope Point and the only female at the rig camp, he knows that her reputation will be hanging by a thread. With so many obstacles to overcome can they ever make that first connection? It's amazing what three nights stranded in a log cabin during a snow storm can do to move things along. Great read.
I did like this book. Its an enemies to lovers romance with the added situation of the couple being trapped together during a snow storm. I am on board with all of these tropes so this was probably my favorite book in the series so far. Also on a side note it was kind of interesting to learn a little bit about those oil rigs. I just like some of the information. ANYWAY, this is another quick light read with a guaranteed HEA, so on to book 4!
Oh how I waited for Ark and Olivias 's story. I was not disappointed at all. We've been watching them throughout this series and their chemistry just exploded in this book. I loved it. I'm now excited for the next book for Cals story. Oh how I love this series!!
They fight and argue and all because neither I'll admit thet really care about each other Plus the idea that a female can compete in a man's world drives him crazy. A 5 star read.
Loved Olivia and Ark’s story. So much passion fuelled by their intense personalities. Loved how their story unfolded. Adventure, steamy passion and humor. Great read.
This one gets a big 'like I'm sure'. Yes I get the bickering can lead to tumbling into bed - I get that. But the story is really disjointed. And Cal keeps getting stuck in the middle of these books. And is he talking to the guys again or not (he wasn't in Jackson's Redemption for reasons that weren't revealed but can be assumed were related to Vivienne?). And what the heck is up with Jenny? She seems like a really stuck in there character. That ending could never have happened in a big company, sorry. I am beginning to feel like this would have worked better as one big book, The Alaska Dating Game, rather than these 4 (3 to date) disjointed novels.
