Donald Wells has garnered a reputation for writing darker and somewhat serious novels about killers. The author was born in New Jersey. He never really left and has since made a home there. Like most of his peers, Donald Wells was an avid reader as a child.
He spent many an hour devouring every book he came across. And it wasn’t long before he began to yearn for the chance to write. Like many aspiring authors, Donald Wells knew he had the capacity to tell stories. However, he was a little hesitant to venture into such uncharted waters, not only because he didn’t know where to start with regards to writing a book but also because he didn’t have confidence in his own ability to produce compelling fiction.
Again, like most notable authors, Donald meandered about for a while. Rather than going into publishing the first chance he got, Donald tried his hand at various odd jobs. He worked as an insurance salesman, a Real Estate Sales person, and even a Retail manager.
The jobs, though seemingly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, did wonders for the author’s writing capabilities. Whether he was driving trucks or cleaning floors, Donald gained insight into the workings of the world.
He met unexpected people and heard their intriguing stories. He came across numerous strange encounters and even participated in some of them. He essentially dipped into so many unique aspects of life that it came as no surprise that he had more than enough stories rattling around his head when it finally came time to write his first novel.
Not that many authors can claim to have been offered a chance to act as bodyguard to a drug dealer. Since getting his first book sold, though, Donald has finally settled in his career. The author loves writing novels and there is nothing he else he would rather be doing. The fact that he has found a way to make money out of his passion makes him one of the luckier individuals in the world.
By the time Donald Wells began writing as Remington Kane, he had already become established as a novelist with numerous thrillers under his name. However, writing as Remington practically took over his life.
This is because Donald has achieved more success writing as Remington Kane than he did producing novels under his real name. Kane is best known for the Tanner series of novels. Tanner is a hit man who accepts a job to take out a mob boss.
When he is betrayed and thrown into prison, Tanner thinks of little else besides getting revenge. And once he finally gets his freedom, the hit man becomes a one man army, engaging in a brutal way against a crime organization known as the Conglomerate.
Each new book sees Tanner raising the stakes by finding a new target that will sting the Conglomerate in ways they couldn’t possibly fathom.
Remington Kane has been praised for the Tanner novels because Tanner is such a refreshing hero. The protagonist is so average physically, devoid of the exaggerated traits that most action heroes seem to bear. If not for his natural fighting and survival instincts, one would be hard pressed to tell Tanner apart from any other ordinary man on the street.

Once again Remington Kane has delivered another amazing book. I was captivated, shocked and relieved throughout the entire book.

“Nothing, as much as I love her, I’ll let her go. She might be safer away from me.”
— “I only wish Emma had left me. It would have been better for her if we’d never gotten together again.”
“Romeo ached for Emma. It was a longing that would go unsatisfied for the rest of his life.”
“The pain he experienced, the mental anguish, was worse than anything he’d ever known. He would never be the same.”
“Actions not only spoke louder than words, they often voided them of all meaning.”

Talk about going out with a bang— couldn't be any better way to conclude this suspensefully thrilling series! Definitely didn't see it going down like that though 💯!!
Another action-packed, entertaining story in the Tanner saga, rife with its interestingly colorful & crazy criminals & characters that compliments the riveting plot lines. It was a very enjoyable read.

A Great End to the Beginning!
Departing from the double story format of the Young Guns series, the author does a masterful job of taking the reader back to 2004, and the end of the “Young Guns”, Cody/Xavier and Romeo/Slade and the beginning of Tanner 7.
When Romeo and Emma and Cody and May Lin begin work on an amazing house in Oregon, the past comes calling in the form of enemies determined to snuff out any dreams of a bright future. Bad guys from the Citadel and from Mexico come calling along with Vince Ryker (the wannabe Tanner) himself intent on ending the Tanner legacy. Action, betrayals, and surprises abound in this worthy conclusion to an excellent series. I received an advanced digital copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Yeah This Is Awesome!!
The writer gets it right again and does it such a fashion that you know while reading that this is going to be good! The story takes through some good times and then some.that will test who you really are. The story sees us saying goodbye to a legend and the birth of one. It also gives us a look at one that could've been. This was just stellar writing ,with a full thought out plot and a story that's so very good and hashed out. You are going to have to read about three legends and the making of these men.

Loved it
Finely finished this sires, This last book in the young guns sires was a doozy all the twists and turns especially finding out at May ling was Vince ryker daughter wow!! I loved that end though, how Romeo finished Tanner six aka Spenser last contract and Cody did the first contract as Tanner seven that was just poetic, and in the end Cody, Romeo and Spenser did find women too be with and make them happy.

A great insight how Tanner 7 came about how the boys coped with soo much loss and destruction in their lives and the injury of their mentor Spencer was really on edge throughout the book really love Spencer and the boys got very emotional great read never want it to end the title was very apt highly recommend,

Just really enjoy this series, this one is exceptional. Keep up the great storytelling Remington. Am certain the new Johnny Revenge books will be as good....looking forward to them.

Young Guns 8
I think this was the best of the series. Really enjoyed it. While it was a typical Kane book with lots of action and a body count, this seemed to develop the characters more than normal. This was a good series. Recommended.

Knowing the future made the attempt at suspence feeble. The constant flip from pasr ro present was tedious. I really do hope it's done.
