Have you ever wondered if you could make a change in this world, if it is actually possible to effect the lives around you? If you have wondered, then this is for you. Jared is a counselor who is fed up with life. He can’t see the good he is capable of, nor anything worthwhile he has ever done. He is ready to throw in the towel, when an old man comes into his life and gives him a second chance.
Such a gift our Lord blessed this dear writer with. H with. It , as you read it effects the readers as it did this man about to take his life! As I read it, it was effecting me like this man in the story. It really opened my heart to the wrong negative way we are being pulled into more and more! As Jesus showed us while down here in earth that there are two ways to see things in this world-- either looking at how horrible things we see in this world are trying to ignore it or more and more talk about it with others --or-- being the one that actually cares and takes the time to help another, even in small ways. This book this author hit the nail on the head, I'm sure it affected many others to see things from a d ifferent perspective, a positive one that will effect the lives of others as well as themself! Thank dear one for this beautiful, so important story. May the good Lord bless you more than ever before. : )
This is a short story but definitely NOT one to miss. It's message is an encouraging one as well as one I know to be truth because I believe life has given all of us moments like these. How we choose to live our lives gave us the way the moments turned out. This deserves 10+ stars! Good work Mr. Davis! Blessings! ❤🙏❤ Sincerely, Sharon Sell
The ghost of Christmas present visits a disgruntled marriage therapist who is attempting suicide on a park bench. He proceeds to show the therapist that people are good and miraculously changes his mind about killing himself. Because, you know, when you're so clinically depressed that you're going to kill yourself, knowing people are good will instantaneously heal you.
Thankfully this dribble was short. I would not recommend it to anyone.
I loved this story and the beautiful way it was written. I wanted it to go on and on. Mr. Davis takes a tragedy and turns it into a miracle. I don’t want to give away too much. This story expressed a truth that we all need to remember. Highly recommend this short story
This book takes just a few minutes to read but will have a definite impact and you will be glad that you took those few minutes. Our world is crazy now and there is much that is evil and bad but there is also so many good people out there. We each need to be one of those who make the effort to be god. This story inspire me. Hope it will you also.
Jerard is a marriage counselor and he walks out of his office and sees a homeless old man across the street. And he goes and gets a gun from his car and decides to kill himself because he thinks he doesn't help anyone and there is so much evil in the world. Then Joshua sits down next to him at the park bench. What a wonderful short story.
Great moral story. I am left wondering about the couple from the beginning of the story. I will look for more stories by Mr Davis. He has a good eye on our journey through life. Nice!
First thing is this book is very short. But a story of hope and a positive message. I gave it 3stars because I bought it and would of liked a book lol to be longer but it was ok ad far as a hopeful . short. Story
This is a short, easy read book that will have a huge impact on your life! For those of us that suffer from depression this book is an important reminder of how each of us makes a difference in other people's lives.
I wasn't impressed. It's pretty much a rehash of a variety of other stories -- A Christmas Carol, It's a Wonderful Life, etc. And to top it off -- multiple spelling, grammatical etc errors (and they hit right off the bat!). A good point is that it was a short read!
I was not aware of this books content when I downloaded it, however, it has a great message. I hope it draws you in and helps you become aware of your own worth. God bless you and your future.
I feel good story About Seeing what is in front of you and finding it a good thing or a bad thing. You will always see what you're looking for, good or bad! Worth your time. Just read it!!
This story is another reminder that everyone can make a difference no matter who you are. You may never know the effect of a kindness given, but that doesn't mean nothing came of it. Please Please Please pass this lesson on to as many as you can.
Very quick but powerful read, appropriate for teens & adults. It shows the value our lives have & how our existence touches others in ways we may never fully realize,
Some of the most important stories we will ever have the honor to read 📚 ❤️ 🙏 Will have a huge impact on our lives. It's not how many pages or words you read. It's how it can change your point of view and maybe even save your life 😉
This was a great story. It is so hard to see the good in the world sometimes. There is so much evil and bad events it really messes with your worth. But you just have to keep your faith in God and believe. I really enjoyed this book from start to finish.
What a wonderful story. And it is a story of truth. If only we could see our own fourth, especially those that are hurting and have no one to help or guide them. I enjoyed this book immensely.
A short story take off of A Christmas Carol reminding us that we can make a difference. Though this was recommended for teens, the since the main character and his sister both seriously contemplated suicide, I would not recommend it for that age group.
For those who read chicken soup for the soul. This short story will warm your heart and make you want to go out and help those who thought they were forgotten and over looked.
I really liked this book. It's a great reminder that there is good in the world. I'm going to give it to some people that need to hear the author's message.
