Gill Hasson is a teacher, trainer and writer. In this helpful book she sets out principles of good communication and then provides tips for putting those principles into practice. Each book has a useful summary at the end of each chapter with tips of conversational styles, small talk and disconnecting from conversations plus there are good segments on communicating with people with dementia or hearing problems.

Just completed @gillhasson's "Communication - How To Connect With Anyone"

Very instructive. Will use as an ongoing reference. I particularly enjoyed the chapters on Being A Better Listener and Persuasion.

This is an actual "How to" book, where everything is explained with an example.

Nice collection of communication best practices. Might be good as a quick reference before meetings when you want to put your best foot forward. The book ends a like abruptly but, otherwise, is good.

Communication with others can be difficult at times as people have different perspectives leading to misunderstandings in communication especially when writing emails or text. If we are writing a text or an e-mail we need to make it more clear so the other person completely understands the message.

Needed more background info for a class I'm teaching. This book was pretty basic, but some good advice for non-academic readers.

The real basics when it comes to communication. Like really basic...

I did not find it enjoyable or informative, but I guess if you had to start at the bare bones this is it. It does explain communication in a simple and logistic manner.

I am aware this book counts as a textbook so I suspect it would be most helpful and probably for students.
