This is a clearly written, compassionate Reiki text. It will be especially useful for those who are brand new to Reiki and metaphysics (and it's a good refresher for those who have been away from the field for whatever reasons).

I'm proficient in many energetic modalities, and I see the pros of spending a great deal of time learning the theoretical, historical, and formal aspects of energy practices. For many people however, the formalities are far less important than the work itself. How can I begin, today, to be a lightworker? How can I improve my quality of life right away, or help others do the same?

No symbols. No complex hand positions. The focus is on your clear intention and your intuition. Practical Reiki is a responsible yet easy way to begin or continue the Reiki path.

This book is well written, easy to read and describes a simple yet powerful Reiki method that will improve your life and health. I'm slightly biased because I edited the book, but that doesn't change the fact that Alice's words are delightfully helpful and informative. :)

Very concise and well written book on Reiki. What I like about it the most is that it’s a very hands-on, practical book that focuses on how to understand and do Reiki in plain easy to understand language. This book distills many of the elaborate traditions surrounding more traditional Reiki down to the very simple essence of what’s needed for Reiki to work, and how to apply it ethically, And how to incorporate it into your daily life.

I'm a Reiki master/practitioner/teacher and really love this book. It is well written and Alice Langholt gives good examples and stories to help the reader understand sometimes difficult topics and concepts. There is a lot of information that has helped me to become a better practitioner. This book is truly essential if you want to learn about Reiki.

What I love the most about Practical Reiki is that the student can feel the energy from the very first second of their attunement. I am definitely going to take her course.
