It’s Oksar’s turn!
I had no idea when I started the Blake Security Team series just how interesting Oskar would turn out to be. He’s sarcastic, witty, and full of jokes. He’s also loyal and protective. So I was highly entertained by his love interest, Hailey! She’s almost his opposite. She’s sort of OCD in a bossy but really sweet kind of way. It was her controlling tendencies that had me sitting in anticipation of the fireworks to come between them and I wasn’t disappointed!
Oskar and Hailey’s relationship was a lot of fun and I really liked the layers of mystery, hot sizzle, and oddly enough hope that ran throughout the story. The hope that they were good enough for one another and the potential to continue moving forward after the mess Hailey was in finished was a driving force I could get behind!
Brazen is just as sexy and riveting a read as any of the Blake Security Team books! Between the mystery surrounding Hailey and Oskar and Hailey’s unexpected second chance and-very sexy romance-I was glued to my screen! However, the cliffhanger dang near killed me! I have questions that need answers ASAP!!

Brazen by M. Malone & Nana Malone is book 1 in the Brazen Duet. This is the story of Hailey and Oskar . Oskar was once a bad guy but now works for Blake Security and is moving forward with his life. But he doesn't plan on settling down...and the only time he thought he wanted more was when he and Hailey had their hot encounter years ago. But he sneaked out the next morning knowing that his life was to dangerous for her. Now in the present day, her father has hired Blake Security to protect Hailey. Those old feelings are coming back for him and the hurt he left her with is still a sore spot for her. But this book only starts their renewed feelings they are still having to look for who is out to harm Hailey...can't wait for the next book in this story.

The Malones turn a handful of sinful into a Brazen experience. Hailey and Oskar are something to talk about. She's as feisty as he is fearless and despite the risk, he lightens up the danger with a wicked sense of humor. Brazen takes a walk on the wild side with a few blasts from the past. Malone squared sprinkles in a few familiar faces and more than a little danger. Brazen caught me hook, line and sinker.

When I started reading the Blake Security series, starting with Shameless, the first book in the Shameless Trilogy, which is Noah and Lucia's story, I fell in love with all the men of Blake Security, and the women they love. And Oskar caught my interest from the first time he was introduced. Here in the beginning part of his own story, he shines. He's funny and sharp as a tack, and so in love with Hailey, a woman with whom he shares a complicated past.
Hailey is an interesting heroine. She has an insured nose, (seriously!), she's tough but a bit closed off, and her complicated history with Oskar still affects her to this day. As I was reading, I just fell in love with her, though. She's just as sharp as Oskar, and obviously still has feelings for him. I loved how those feelings just kept growing and led to their impromptu Vegas shenanigans.
Of course, since this is a Malone book, there was a doozy of a cliffy, so now I'm anxiously awaiting Still Brazen, the second part of Oskar and Hailey's story. It can't get here soon enough as far as I'm concerned!

This is the first book I have read by these authors and I tell you it will not be the last. I loved every moment of this book and I loved Oskar and Hailey. They are an incredible together and watching their story unfold was amazing! I love a good sexy arse alpha who knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it and I love a good geeky girl who knows what she wants and is willing to sacrifice that to get what she needs.
I have to say that Oskar and Hailey are complete opposites but they make it work. Oskar and Hailey share a wonderful time in Vegas and when it is all done they part but with a big surprise to both of them. Then time goes by and their lives go on when all of a sudden Hailey's father hires a security company to protect his daughter who is being stalked.
When Oskar gets his next job he is okay with it until he sees who it is. He can't believe the one woman he can't get out of his mind is the one he will be protecting. Oskar is determined in that moment that he will not only protect her but he will win her heart and she will finally become his.
I loved the suspense in this story but I will say that I almost broke my kindle with that ending! I was like no oh hell no this is not the ending. I know it is a duet but still the ending was just cruel oh so cruel! So go on and one click it and enjoy the greatest journey you will ever go on!

Brazen by Nana and M Malone was one HELL of a second-chance at love romance that captivated me from page 1. So many twists and unexpected turns in this story!! From the characters to the storyline I LOVED this story!
I have been a HUGE fan of Oskar since we first met him. I always find him so funny, and just so damn hot and sexy! And we definitely see a different side of him in Brazen. We see his soft, protective side. I ADORE this man!!
Hailey was different then what I expected. But her character is gorgeous, smart, and fierce. If she wants something she gets it, including Oskar!
And of course we are left with a HUGE cliffy that has me screaming for Still Brazen!!! I kinda had the twist figured out, but seeing it played out left me like... WTF?!?!
I can't wait to see how this story plays out!

Brazen strikes a cord with all those of us that have followed the ins and outs and intricate tales for the characters built by these Malone's. We get reads that take us on an adventure. This time was no exception. We go on an exceptional ride with Oskar and Hailey. There was one heck of a Vegas tale wrapped around these two individuals. Watching it all unfold was just the beginning. Getting a deeper look at these two apart and together was what made this all so Brazen. Cliffhanger yes, but what do you expect when these two come together. Part one was the cake. Part two will give us all the icing we could every want.

Brazen by Nana Malone and M Malone a five-star read that will protect you. This is the first part of the Brazen duet and I cannot wait for the second part!! What to say without getting spoilers, this is a compelling story and the chemistry is like liquid napalm, I was surprised my eyes didn’t melt it was so hot in places. There is action and drama a plenty, things happen, and you really don’t know who dunnit until you do, and your heart will be in your mouth at times, throw in a weekend in Vegas that needs to stay there, and you have a great story. The next instalment Still Brazen can’t come soon enough.

I can’t believe I finally got more of Oskar and I loved every single second of it!! Oskar and Hailey had a weekend neither of them could forget in Vegas and walked away feeling like something was off for years until Hailey needs someone to protect and lookey loo it’s Oskar!!!!! I literally could not put this book down the second I started it and am already on pins and needles waiting for the continuation of this story!!

Another great story by the Malone sisters! This series (in duet sets) from the men of Blake Security is just excellent. Every one of them is unique and fun with just enough mystery and intensity to keep you guessing.
I have enjoyed my time reading these books and can't wait to read the next one for this duet.

Loved the characters and how they interacted with each other. It gives them feels that they could be a real live couple down the block from me. There were some places in the book that I felt like parts were missing. I dont know if the author did that on purpose to set the setting for the next book so I guess we will see.

Intriguing Reunion. If you are looking for action and excitement while finding the unexpected, you will not be disappointed. Hailey is a strong and determined woman. She doesn’t want to hear about needing protection. Can she let go of the past in order to see another day? Will the team be able to take on the task at hand and leave feelings aside? I like how the author brings in the past with the present in order to see how they may need to save each other.

Yikes! Oskar is such a huge teddy bear. Such a romantic at heart. Having recently getting acquainted with Blake Security, Oskar and Matthais in the Royals Universe I was looking forward to this book. And I’m definitely going back to read all the other books related to Blake Security. My curiosity is piqued with that cliffhanger. What’s the truth behind Hailey’s birth and what the heck is her brother up to?

4.5!!!! HOLY SMOKES!! It is finally Oskar's turn!!! WOOHOO!!! I have been waiting for Oskar's story since I was first introduced to him in the very first book of the Blake Security series. Oskar Mueller, the woman-loving, crazy, funny, jokester of the group, aka The German, The Viking, The Big Guy, The guy who knocks all the woman over when he smiles!!
In Brazen, Oskar is assigned to protect Hailey, the heir apparent to her family's perfume empire, who also is intent on making everyone realize that she is worthy of her family's business. However, the real shocker is on the two of them of them, because neither one realizes that they have actually already met and that each one has not been able to forget the other after that initial meeting. Boy, oh boy, do the sparks fly once these two meet again.
Yes, all of the gang is back to help solve yet another mystery. Brazen is a truly great read with a cliffhanger of an ending that will stop your heart. OMG!!! Nana Malone and M. Malone are two powerhouse authors in her own right, but together these two are beyond amazing!!! I just have to say thank you to Nana Malone and M. Malone for taking us readers back into the world of Blake Security. I have truly been missing these guys. I cannot wait for this mystery to be solved in Still Brazen!!

The heir apparent to one of the world’s largest perfume companies, Hailey is driven to prove to the world that she has what it takes. Having locked herself and her heart away since one amazing weekend in Vegas years earlier; she has no time for frivolous activities or time wasting. If only whoever is trying to kill her could get the memo, Hailey would be super happy.
‘All kinds of a man. He’d been the only marker I really had for what a man was. But there was something about him now. Something even more self-assured.’
Oskar Mueller team player and part of Blake Security, (yes, The Blake Security from the Winston Isles. Yummy Alpha Men) is front and centre in the epic story that is Hailey and her deadly shadows. Only they have a history and that history is far more complex than anyone, especially for the reader, understands.
The hurt is still very real for one and yet both are still forcibly attracted to one another. Magnets would have an easier time staying away from each other than these two. As is always in the case for these writers, there are so many questions that need answering. Why is Hailey’s mother the way she is? Why is her father so protective and secretive? Why does Hailey’s own brother loathe her so much? And who in the heck would want to kill a lab geek who just mixes up perfumes?
Oskar and Hailey are so very different. Different in every way that counts, doesn’t matter though, not to them because they love each other fiercely and when the walls come-a-tumbling down, their simply eyewitnesses to the chemistry their bodies have been fuelling ever since they last were together. Our major players aren’t the only ones feeling the lust chemical; I just wonder how that one will work out.
‘...I inhaled. Sandalwood. I sighed and immediately relaxed. I love that smell. The moment I was wrapped in his arms, I felt like I was exactly where I belonged.’
I have always respected how these authors create families. It rarely comes from people who share blood. As we move further into the twenty-first-century, family has taken on such a broader term and authors the world over are reflecting real society into their books. This makes me happy and content to read such books. Family and lives are no longer just fluid, no two people are ever the same (even identical twins are different).
One more comment about this book though, what the heck was that cliffhanger ladies? Do you know what you’re doing to me? Thank goodness, the next one is out very soon. Jeez. I have come to the most obvious conclusions: either of these two cannot pen a book and not have me clinging onto the edge of my seat and suffering from awful palpitations. Wick authors, evil, devilish. Please, do not ever change! Kudos on another great one.

Suspenseful, mysterious, and sexy. These are just some of the adjectives I would use to describe the book Brazen. In my opinion, I think there’s a lot more hidden meaning to the title of this book than what we read now. Its a cliff hanger. I can’t wait for the second book to come out to figure out how this all plays out. I had my suspicions about who was providing all the drama. I think I’m right but one never knows for sure. That’s what intrigue and drama is all about. It’s meant to keep you guessing.
This is my first read from the Blake Security team, but it I don't think it will be my last. That being said I’m not unfamiliar with this security team I’ve read about them before in other books by one of the authors. So it was a nice treat to delve deeper into their characters. I’m quite enjoying them. Also hoping that when the second book is finished there will be a new book about Haliey’s friend. She seems very intriguing and powerful.
Oskar is very sexy and mysterious. Maybe he’s been introduced in other books but as I said this is my first read in this series. He is also quietly funny and more caring than he would appear on the surface.

It is well worth the read. You get smiles, laughs, intrigue, mystery, steam and heat...really hot heat! Even in the steamy moments though you will find yourself smiling through the banter. These two are adorable. What I will say, (and it’s not a spoiler) is I love when a big powerful guy is bent to the will of a strong women because he would do anything for her. Trust me you’ll get what I mean when you read the story.
I read this story in one sitting. It was fast paced and held my attention from the opening to the jaw dropping close. I’m anxiously awaiting the next installment. I’m not a patient person so please don’t make me wait too long. I may hire my own Security team to hunt you down so you get the next book out as soon as possible. Just kidding...maybe!

Oskar is hot, and Hailey is one cool customer!
I’m still reasonably new to books by Nana Malone, and I’ve enjoyed absolutely everything that I’ve read from her, but this is the first time I’ve read anything from Malone Squared, and even though I’ve come in way past the beginning of the series, it didn’t stop me appreciating the banter between these guys with a dark past, and their bad-ar$ed women. And I can tell you now, that I have already one-clicked and will be checking out the earlier books in this series.
There is just something ultra-romantic about the most alpha of men who become smitten in spite of their best intentions, and begin to wax lyrical about the ladies who see past the rough facade, to the softer side of the man willing to gift his balls into her purse, and her care!
The occupation that Oskar inherited from his father, placed the woman he fell in love with in Vegas 3 years ago, into potential danger, so he left. Between then and now, there has been a watershed moment for him where he has changed direction and ended up with Blake Security. I’ve read other reviews for this book, and these people have been waiting for Oskar’s story, so I’m thinking I’ll be appreciating the earlier books in the series also.
Hailey is at the top of her game in the family business of Perfumers. She’s on the cusp of the launch of a lifetime, a perfume named for her mother, and there’s nothing like a little breaking and entering, or attempted kidnapping to stall those perfect plans. Her dad insists on Security and a Bodyguard, but she doesn’t have time for that. Hell, she doesn’t even have time for dating, especially after a hard lesson learned when she woke up, abandoned in a hotel a few years ago – never again!
Blake Security gets the job of protection, and Oskar is assigned. The sparks created between these two are an amazing repartee of back and forth points scoring, and I absolutely loved it! The witty writing, and the wonderful secondary characters really round out this dual POV book, told exactly as I love reading it. Romance, heat and suspense are well balanced, and even though I know Ms Malone does things in duet, nothing will stop me from coming back again and again. I’m still reasonably new to books by Nana Malone, and I’ve enjoyed absolutely everything that I’ve read from her, but this is the first time I’ve read anything from Malone Squared, and even though I’ve come in way past the beginning of the series, it didn’t stop me appreciating the banter between these guys with a dark past, and their bad-ar$ed women. And I can tell you now, that I have already one-clicked and will be checking out the earlier books in this series.
There is just something ultra-romantic about the most alpha of men who become smitten in spite of their best intentions, and begin to wax lyrical about the ladies who see past the rough facade, to the softer side of the man willing to gift his balls into her purse, and her care!
The occupation that Oskar inherited from his father, placed the woman he fell in love with in Vegas 3 years ago, into potential danger, so he left. Between then and now, there has been a watershed moment for him where he has changed direction and ended up with Blake Security. I’ve read other reviews for this book, and these people have been waiting for Oskar’s story, so I’m thinking I’ll be appreciating the earlier books in the series also.
Hailey is at the top of her game in the family business of Perfumers. She’s on the cusp of the launch of a lifetime, a perfume named for her mother, and there’s nothing like a little breaking and entering, or attempted kidnapping to stall those perfect plans. Her dad insists on Security and a Bodyguard, but she doesn’t have time for that. Hell, she doesn’t even have time for dating, especially after a hard lesson learned when she woke up, abandoned in a hotel a few years ago – never again!
Blake Security gets the job of protection, and Oskar is assigned. The sparks created between these two are an amazing repartee of back and forth points scoring, and I absolutely loved it! I loved reading the beginning of Hailey and Oskar's story. A possible second chance at love and forgiveness. Hired by Hailey's father to protect her. Oskar does this as he tries to find out who is trying to hurt her. While reading, I also enjoyed the supporting characters as well. I look forward to reading book 2. ~Dawn

Hailey's family has a prestigious perfume company and she is the nose behind the brand. She has been working on a new scent tribute to her mother, and all the promotion and events that go around a new product launch. After a couple incidents, her father insists on hiring private security for her.
Oskar and his friends have a security company. All are former military and are good at their jobs. At the initial client meeting, Oskar is shocked to see that the client he is assigned to protect 24/7 is the girl he had an amazing weekend with in Vegas three years previously. A situation out of his control took him away from her then, and she never knew why he disappeared. Neither of them have been able to forget each other.
Sparks fly when they are paired together, although she tries to resist him because she's mad at how he disappeared (and busy with work). He tries to resist because he thinks his background and his job make him a danger to anyone he's involved with so he avoids relationships completely. Neither can fight for long, though, and once the security company's background check turns up that they actually married each other drunkenly while in Vegas, all bets are off.
I enjoyed this book for the most part, but I didn't love it. The trouble is, I can't really pinpoint why. I didn't specifically dislike anything about the book, but it just didn't resonate with me this time. I wasn't expecting it to be a duet (apparently I'd forgotten about that) so it does end on a cliffhanger, but the second book releases in February. I'm hoping this duet will be like Nana Malone's Royals United duet in that the second book is amazing after the setup of the first.
Oskar will go to any lengths to protect Hailey. We will see if he succeeds.

And now the moment we have all been waiting for...the truth behind the Viking of Blake Security, Oskar. This man has always managed to draw my attention in previous stories in the series and I absolutely could not wait to peek under his sheets and get a better look at this sexy Viking. He's the funny guy of the crew, always ready with a quip or bit of sarcasm to break up a tense moment. In walks a new client, Ms. Hailey Livingston. The heir to Livingston Perfumes with a golden nose. Someone is messing with her and her father ends up at Blake Security looking for protection. Hailey is very reserved and only real walk on the wild side was on her 21st birthday weekend in Vegas with a mysterious Viking that rocked her world royally. Three years later and fate brings to two together again. Both have coincidentally been secretly pining for the other. Of course, once Oskar gets of whiff of his "butterfly", he is a goner and does what he does best - aggravates the crap out of Hailey. While they're bouncing hot and spicy looks at each other, someone very serious is out to get Hailey. As always there are some seriously steamy scenes and a lot of surprises with glimpses at all of the guys and gals at Blake Security. As this is part 1 of a two part series, it ends in cliffhanger. I swear this duo does a cliffhanger like no other. Just when your heart rate is up and you just know that you are finally going to get some answers, the book ends. I am anxiously awaiting book 2. I have to know what is going on. I love both authors individually but together they are a force to be reckoned with. I cannot wait to hear the way Hailey and Oskar's story ends. Oh and I definitely need more Blake Security. Tyse is looking pretty yummy at the moment.

This was a fantastically written book. There was comedy that made you laugh out loud ( not good in public places lol), suspense, action, drama and supercharged sexual chemistry with off the walls sex that got you all hot and bothered.
Oskar and Hailey are both strong characters trying to prove themselves better as hiding their true selves behind a mask. But when they meet each other these barriers are broken down. A weekend in Vegas becomes a game changer for their lives.
Hailey comes from a rich family, where she is trying to prove herself worthy of the family business. However things don't seem right when she is attacked. This is where the daringly hot, intense gorgeous team of Blake Security come in to protect her and one, dare I say, a hot super sexy beast in the form of Oskar, who comes all guns blazing to protect Hailey when he learns she's in trouble.
Both are shocked to see each other after three years, but they learn that their chemistry is still there and things start to get really hot at this point. The plot thickens when they find out that things were not simple in Vegas, they apparently got married. Feelings are all over the place for each other, fights turn to make up sex.
But that's not all, there is still danger lurking in the background. The ending in the book comes as a shock. Your left in a state of anxiety as you want to know what happens next.

This book was awesome. I wasn't able to put it down and read it in one day. Oskar and Hailey had one weekend together in Vegas and when she woke up the last morning, he was gone. Without saying goodbye she believed she did something wrong, so she moved on without him. Three years later, they meet again when she needs security. She fights it because she is stubborn and doesn't believe there is a real threat to her. When she learns that he works for the security company and will be her main guard she tries to get him thrown off the case. She has never forgotten him, but doesn't want to open her heart to him again because she is afraid that he will hurt her again.
Oskar never forgot Hailey and he didn't want to leave her, but felt she would be safer without him in her life. He tries to keep his distance from her, but can't deny that he still has feelings for her. They had a great time in Vegas, but he doesn't believe he is the marrying type. As he tries to protect her, their old feeling reignite and they admit that they are more to each other than acquaintances. When they find out that they did more than get drunk, have s**, and get tattoos while in Vegas, it will change their relationship forever.

Finally, Oskar gets his HEA!
I've been in love with Oskar almost from the start. He's adorably arrogant, hilariously alpha, full of Viking swagger with a deep-seated need to be treasured for who he is, not what he does. Finding out that he's got his heart on the line with Hailey - and that it's been that way for years - was simply priceless. This is a beautiful story, one that I never would've guessed but it works perfectly for him.
Hailey wasn't exactly nursing a broken heart after her Vegas trip, but she wasn't moving on, either. She busied herself with crafting the perfect signature scent in honor of her mother, but as she gets closer to completing this project, the threats against her start to grow and it's clear she needs a bodyguard. Just please, any bodyguard but the irritatingly sexy man from her past! These two are opposites who attract like fire and gasoline. There's no way they can resist each other, and when the truth comes out, all bets are off.
There's more humor in this book than in the other Blake Security stories. Actual laugh-out-loud, stop-to-explain-to-the-hubby moments include the revelation in the conference room where Oskar sees himself on the big screen, Hailey's best friend Priya, any scene involving J.J., and Hailey's mother's reaction to the protection detail!

Despite being super annoyed about a cliffy ending I didn't see coming (this story "ends" at 93% with a excerpt for a separate book taking up the last 7% of the book), I thoroughly enjoyed Brazen.
Oskar is a ridiculously hot and super funny bodyguard with the task of protecting his most distracting client yet...his former flame, Hailey. After a magical weekend together years ago, he did the only thing he could to protect her - he left. He never expected to see her again but he can't escape the delicious memories of their time together. When she shows up in his office, he's flabbergasted. She awakens something in him no one else ever has. She isn't as pleased to see him though!
Hailey fights protection tooth and nail but after an attempt on her life, she gives in to her father's demands to have a security team. To say she wasn't prepared to have HIM assigned as her bodyguard is a massive understatement. After leaving her without explanation all those years ago, she's done all she can to move on; she's successful, driven and even tried getting married once. Unfortunately the fiance was as boring as paint drying and completely unable to please her, nothing like the zings that big Viking idiot sets off in her.
This book was adorable with some hidden surprises that made me giggle. Oskar is ridiculous, Hailey is sassy and JJ and Priya are in a class their own. Awesome cast of characters. I await the second part of this story with grabby fingers!

This book was adorable with some hidden surprises that made me giggle. Oskar is ridiculous, Hailey is sassy and JJ and Priya are in a class their own. Awesome cast of characters. I await the second part of this story with grabby fingers!

Hailey fights protection tooth and nail but after an attempt on her life, she gives in to her father's demands to have a security team. To say she wasn't prepared to have HIM assigned as her bodyguard is a massive understatement. After leaving her without explanation all those years ago, she's done all she can to move on; she's successful, driven and even tried getting married once. The Viking finally meets his match. Oskar meets his new client. The one woman he has never been able to forget.
Hailey can't believe the bodyguard she didn't want is the one man she wished she could forget. She'd had a couple of close calls with muggings or were they attempted kidnapping? Whatever her father decided she needed a guard while she worked on her once-in-a-lifetime project meant to prove her worth.
So begins the reuniting of what began as a very steamy one-night-stand years ago. He knew he shouldn't touch her or want her. She was the client. She knew she shouldn't want him. He'd left her without a word in a hotel room after their wonderful time together.
I love the entire cast. The guys give Oskar as much grief as he's given them as they make their relationships work. Their women are no sweet little obedient lambs. Must be something in the water because that certainly doesn't describe the lovely Haily.
The clues as to who is the "bad guy or gal" isn't easy to figure out. The relationship is filled with steam and stress. While I'm not a fan of cliffys, knowing in advance that each character is a multi-book story makes it easy to accept--that and the fact the stories are unbelievably good. I've read them all and each time I think "this one is my fave." That holds true until I start the next. Don't miss this one or any. The continuing story is always just a few weeks away. I'm counting them down.
