I absolutely love his writing style. What can I say? This was like six books inside one but in the easiest, straight forward and practical way about changing habits in the morning. No excuses here. I'll try it. Really. Only six habits besides Robet K. makes it imposible not to try. If want to read a self-help book but don't know where to start. This is your book, it was only 22 pages. You should try it. It's a quick start.
This is basically the S.A.V.E.R.S technique S- silence (meditation) A- (Say your meaningful ) Affirmations V- Visualize the day (The steps you do during the day, not just the end goal) E- Exercise (5-10 min; nothing intense just to get you moving) R- Read (preferably a personal development or knowledge based book. Avoids the news or recreational books) S- Scribing (write about one of the SAVERS you did. You can use a bullet journal, a regular journal, anything that works for you)
Whatever you choose to call the method I’ve attempted at it long before this ebook and have tweaked it to my liking.
Meditation is the most important I write novels so I try to use S for this or push Scribing to the evening when the day is done and I can reflect, V is my calendar. I need to work on E but have never really found a good practice that is pandemic proof lol. Audiobooks for R, and for A, I use a digital bullet journal with Google Keep and have a pinned sticky thought/prayer about how i want to fulfill my day
Creating any type of morning routine is more important than these 6 things but these six things definitely help to implement
This is just a temporary rating. Will update once I finish the 21-day challenge.
A powerful start to the morning prepares you for any sh*t the remaining part of the day may throw at you. I have realized this after an unfair life incident, and now, I take my mornings very seriously. I don't really do all the six things recommended in the book, but I definitely journal life lessons from the previous day (a kind of gratitude expression if you think about it) and the things I want to achieve in the current day. I also do a 10-min walk whenever possible, and without fail, make my own breakfast. And of course, finish off all my work so I can devote the rest of my day to reading and other pursuits.
Yet, I'm eager to try these six approaches and see what happens. Can't wait.
