The term “Atman” comes out of Hinduism and refers to the principle of life active in the the world soul. But it is also in regard to the Real Self of the individual, that innate aspect of consciousness that is fully aware and communicable. With that taken into account, therefore, this document is a conversation, a dialogue with that which is invisible but distinctly aware aspect of something each of us has access to once we actively apply ourselves to that discipline. In the grand scheme of things, it is the task of each of us to ferret out the reason for our existence; to carefully take the time to discern and examine why it is we are alive—especially knowing that we have the ability to reason and act upon that reasoning. This book is an exploration of that deeply personal but also vitally important process.
