Lmfao - really?
Honestly, I got this book on KU because it seemed like a super quick read. Thankfully it was.. but what the hell did I even just read?
Victoria was in a super abusive relationship in the beginning. Unfortunately, she also has a kid from this said relationship and the baby daddy is an abusive douche who want's absolutely nothing to do with the kid. He sees her as a burden.. and I see him as dead. One day she finally gets out of his grasp but she loses her kid to him in a custody battle. This whole situation just blew my mind and I instantly felt bad for the kid because she went from one loving parent to one who wished she didn't exist.
Then there's Justin, who is a billionaire and I'm guessing that you are already seeing the plot for this book. YAY?. Now I felt bad for these characters - so freaking badly. Mostly because I felt zero emotion or romance between them. The only real love I felt was when Victoria was with her daughter but other than that.. it was horrible to read this book. Thank god it was just a novella!
Overall, if I could wake up with amnesia and forget this book existed .. I'd be okay.

I’m at a complete loss to find the right words. These are complex characters with lots of painful emotions churning just under the surface. And just like everything else I’ve read by this author, I was sucked in to the abyss with them. I don’t know what I can say about Victoria, Justin, and their story that can convey the impact it had on me without giving away all the best parts of the book. It’s not quite the right comparison, but I wonder if you’d get something similar to this if Tim Burton remade Pretty Woman. If you like dark, angsty reads that tear you up from the inside and are peppered with moments of sweetness, you’ll love reading this.

Wow! From a controlling and manipulative dick to a kind and generous man who is willing to look after Victoria. A lot for her to process in a short time. Can she keep herself distant and willing to be Justin's companion...with benefits, without crossing the lines of their contract? Justin likes control and can't fathom what he's feeling for Victoria. Learning curve for both of them!

I feel so sorry for these characters, who just went through the motions as set out by the author..... no emotion at all.... robotic scenes in and out of the bedroom as if she copied from a text book.... Emotions make a story come to life. The out line of this story was all there full of expectancy, but the execution wasn't. Such a shame.

Cut and Dry: A Contemporary Billionaire Romance Story
A wonderful and sweet book,I enjoyed reading ,it was well written and kept me hooked to the very end.I fell in love with Victoria and Justin and was happy they made their contract finale which ended in marriage.

Seems familiar
I know I have read this story before but in a longer version. This was fine but a little choppy. The characters are pretty deep, but the story did just skimmed the surface.

I wish this was longer than a novella to give more depth to their backgrounds and what made them desperate to have the type of relationships they engaged in. They both have past they keep them guarded and thinking a HEA is not realistic. They are used to being deceived and taken advantage of.
