''So I went out into the night, walked up the hill, discovered new things about the night and myself, and came home refreshed. For just as the night has the moon and the stars, so the darkness of the soul can be lit up by small fireflies - such as these calm and comforting thoughts that I have jotted down for you..." Each page of this book contains a piece of eternal wisdom. A little booklet that you can finish in an hour, but the wisdom in it will stay with you for the whole life. ❤️
Think this book as a stranger leaving short notes for you, motivating you or making you realise the worth of yourself and your life. If you think your life is a disaster, or it's gonna fall and everything will perish, maybe you should read the short motivation quotes, anyone will hit the spot which you are going through. A short and cute book and must recommend for those who want to feel peaceful for a few moments so that later on they get the solution for their problem. Enjoy the quotes from the book which I loved: "Acquire knowledge, Acquire Skills. They weight nothing, and you can carry them with you in your life"
"Which is the best game? There isn't one. If the player is doing the best, their game is the finest"

'The little book of comfort' is the perfect name given to this book. One can only be comforted after reading the little and basic but very important messages. It is a book about how little things in life are important and just by reading it, one can keep themself motivated. There might be times that are tough but any random page in this book can make your day or lessen the tension. ''If at times life seems a battle, said grandfather, well then, enjoy the battle.''
I went to the bookstore to buy something special. I ended up getting a book about comfort. Comforting book is a special book.
It is a small book with around 50-60 quotes by Ruskin Bond on life written in beautiful calligraphy. Some of my favourites include: - Go outside, it is better to hear the bulbul sing than the mouse squeak. - For any beauty you possess at sixteen, be very grateful. Of the beauty you have at sixty, you may be proud - it is your own achievement. - Consider yourself dead, and that you have completed your life upto the present time, then start living as though your life has been gifted to you again. - Your room must have a window - look at the clouds, look at the stars, look at the good brown earth - Grandfather said, 'if you cannot win, make the fellow ahead of you exert himself to the utmost.' - Every day, not christmas, and not every day not a rainy day. - Almost anyone can do the first half of anything; only those who do the second half arrive. - 'How shall we hoodwink them?' Asked the young demon of the old story. 'Tell them there's plenty of time' said the old demon of experience. ' Lots of time. They always fall for that.' - You will sometimes be punished when you do not deserve it. Before giving vent to your indignation, reflect on how often you have deserved punishment without receiving it. - If you can smile when you feel hurt, the hurt is half cured. - Bad times are good times to prepare for better times. - If you are capable of smiling, no one will bother whether you are good looking or not. - Some people are always complaining that roses have thorns. Let us be grateful that thorns have roses.

Ruskin Bond's writing style is simple and understandable. The quotes feel real and relatable to the readers. Bond draws inspiration from his surroundings, and the same practice makes the entire reading experience beautiful and authentic.
This book is a collection of comforting thoughts and poetries: motivational, positive, life, love, happiness, etc.
The size of the book is really handy. It's a cute little book with pastel colour scheme of pages and cover. Language is simple and easy to understand. Each page contains a poetry or a quote.
You have to be patient with the book and not complete it in one sitting. Read it peacefully and go through each page calmly.
𝖥𝖠𝖵𝖮𝖴𝖱𝖨𝖳𝖤 𝖰𝖴𝖮𝖳𝖤: "Don't pray for an easy life. Pray instead to be a stronger person." . Overall, it's a meaningful, refreshing and relaxing read.
A warm hug in book form, and it's exactly what its title promises! A couple of my favourite quotes from the book:
A picture on the wall is not just something to look at. After a time it becomes company.
There is comfort to be had from an old book. The fact that it has been around for so long, with its thoughts, feelings and words, gives one a feeling of permanence.
As the name suggests it is perfectly "The Little Book of Comfort".
The cover of the book is pastel blush pink which looks like a shade of art, just beautiful ♡ It is a collection of inspiring and positive thoughts about life, happiness, love etc. Like Ruskin Bond himself the book gives a feel of simplicity, wisdom and practicality of life. A good to go book when you feel down.
This book helped quite a lot in inspiring and comforting me, however, I did not enjoy the fact that there was the use of religion and astrology which made parts of it less helpful. An atheist and/or a physicist would not enjoy parts of this book very much!
This book contains beautifully written positive messages from the writer's own experiences and readings. Every message/anecdote is like a message from the universe for you.
This book was a very quick read but a very positive one.
I did not enjoy reading this book at all it was like reading Tumblr quotes. while the idea and motivational aspect of the quotes were okay the actual quotes are very small, this would be fine for someone who doesn't read books, but I personally did not appreciate reading this... 2.5 stars
‘The Little Book of Comfort' by Ruskin Bond offers a soothing refuge in its heartfelt anecdotes and gentle wisdom. Bond's narrative prowess weaves a comforting tapestry, making it a literary embrace during challenging times. Highly recommend for those seeking solace between the pages.
Indeed a book that takes turns to provide solace, comfort, inspiration, and desire. Giving three stars because the book could have been perfect without quoting Manu or flippant about depression.
