What a story, this book contains the normal career route of a footballer, the clubs he as played for etc, but there is also a personal side to the book, this book covers the story line of Luka Modric from the age of 5 right up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final. At the age of 5 he used to help his grandfather with goat herding upon peaceful mountain paths, he help his grandather because nobody else could, there were no helpful kind neighbours to help, and his parents worked long hours in a local knitwear factory. At the age of 6 Luka grandfather was killed as war broke out between Croatia and Yugoslavia, an age were him and his family fled from their family home to become refugeese on the run. To particiapting in the FIFA World Cup Final and being named the Best FIFA Mens Player in 2018. Really liked this book, I am a big fan of this book series, excellently written, no editorial errors, only negative, lacks pictures but this is not a big issue, the quality of the book is high. Well worth a read.
