I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I'm a fan of this author and was happy to preview her latest book. Mary creates stories that allow you to escape and feel content.
Willow is a young designer who is experiencing a string of bad luck until she crossed paths with Valentin. He is smitten with her and needs to know more. He is a successful attorney but he also has secrets that he cannot share with Willow. He is enjoying the freedom to have a normal relationship and soon feels that Willow needs to be protected. Willow senses there is more to Valentin as she senses she is being followed. Her fears are realized when Valentin's past surfaces and he needs to act quickly to protect his Broken Dove.
I won't give away the ending. If your a fan of Ms. Wasowski, then this book will not disappoint. I think I would have liked to know more about Valentin's history as it added an element of suspense and adrenaline to the pace of the story. Overall fun and indulgent read. Well done, Mary!!!

Started great but the hero turns from stalker obsessed to teetering on obsessive controlling abuser. He always had an excuse why he did what he did. It got to be a strange relationship.

This book was absolutely incredible there was no way I could put it down til the last page.. Valentin is a sexy, dominant , charming lawyer with a lot of baggage that would send most people running.. Willow is a beautiful, young, talented woman who is stronger than anyone gives her credit for at her age.. The connection between these two is sizzling from the first look and was a whirlwind of intense emotions.. This is not your typical mafia story it shows the side that most people don't talk about the innocent family members that get hurt and the ones who try hard to be honest, good people that carry the burden of their family name.. I highly reccomend reading this book and keeping a box of tissues next to you for this rollercoaster of a love story you wont want to end.

If you love a good mafia story, and this one was definitely good, then you absolutely need to read this! You completely fall in love with Valentin and Willow from the very start. She's so sweet and innocent and he is the tall, dark and demanding alpha male that you can't help but swoon over. After a chance meeting both of their lives will be forever changed.
This book has a little bit of everything in it making you not want to put it down. I loved the love story and it also has a good bit of suspense in it because you never know whats going to happen next. Its definitely a book thats hard to put down.

OMG 😲you did it. This is is outstanding. The writing flowed easily and effortless. This book was decadent,delicious and dangerously additive,a page turning that pushed you to continue reading. The characters were strong,intense and compelling. The lovemaking was off the charts. You will not be disappointed by selecting this book. Overall an outstanding book.

A beautiful passionate love story with a large touch of mafia badass and intrigue. A handsome hero brought to his knees by falling in love with a girl at first sight. Great stuff, loved it.

I stopped at 50%. It was too boring and I felt zero spark between the H/h. The writing wasn’t bad, but it was just too boring for me.

Always enjoy a hot, protective Russian! Willow was funny and real. Some of it was predictable and I was annoyed when Willow would need time to think. But it was a good read.

4.5 Stars! What a great story! I really loved Willow. She was such a positive and caring person. I loved her innocence and the way she loved with her whole heart. Valentin was such a strong and powerful man. When he wants something, he gets it. One glance at Willow and he knew she was meant to be his. She looked like a broken dove that he just wanted to hold forever and protect. Willow was captivated by Valentin, and was drawn to his dominance and magnetism. As their relationship progresses, Valentin's past begins to worry Willow. Can she handle everything about Valentin, and trust that he will always protect her, or will it be too overwhelming for her?

I really enjoyed this book. In my opinion Mary really went out of the box with this and I loved it.
Willow is such a sweet, innocent young woman. It's sort of like she's fresh meat. I loved that she is from the Jersey shore so we know she has some kick to her. BUT is it enough for her to survive N.Y.C?
She has a long string of bad luck that lands her in a police station. Poor Willow.
Valentin is Tall, Dark, and sexy as sin and scary as hell. When he walks in a room there is a command of respect, why? Ha, that I wont say. He is amazing and scary at the sametime.

Another great story, a Mafia story! I’ve loved it since the first pages and it became more interesting till the end. Valentin is a gorgeous Tall, dark and handsome lawyer with a complicated family,Willow is a gorgeous stylist very determined in what she believe and in need to be protected.What happens between the two of them is magical and powerful, strong and hot!! Two people who believe in love and sincerity.
Who doesn’t want a love story like this?
