This is a series from Jenny Wheeler,6 books this is the first! Very well written and introduction of the main characters in the series You can tell a lot of research went into the West at the time of the California Gold Rush when everyone has dreams. You will fall in love with the characters in this series and sets you up for more to happen. I really enjoyed this story,it is very real to the reading and you feel the emotions,they really come across to you! Grab some tissues and enjoy this adventure love story. Off to the second series! Love her writing! August 4, 2020!! This book and two other books in this series are in a bundle.. After I read this book,that's when I found the bundle,as in..The second book is: Brother Betrayed and the third book in this series is: Double Jeopardy...I like it when it's in a bundle like this.. Since I have already read, Poisoned Legacy..I will start with the second book in this series..either way,make sure you read the books,the series,the first book was fantastic I can just imagine how the rest are going to be!! The next book in this bundle is: Brother Betrayed:: This story is about the Chinese part of the family where John gets involved with like the Chinese mob,so many twists and turns where you need to really keep up with the different families involved. Follow John and his friends and brothers as the again see death to family members.. The third book in this series is Double Jeopardy where the youngest Sebastian gets involved in a crime murder at a opera house.. Gees,will there be more deaths and murders and Sebastian is asked to find the murderer of a friend's mother.. So many secrets.. Follow this mystery you wouldn't believe it if I told you why,read for yourself!! There is another bundle of the series pc these books in "Of Gold & Blood-Series 2 by Jenny Wheeler..that's where I'm going next to read...That bundle only has two books to it, Poisoned Legacy, which is the first book in the series and then in the bundle you have book four- Christmas Destiny...what other surprises that are in there I have no clue until I read it!!
