When I was a child, I used to read Marcello's strips about Dante on "il Giornalino", a weekly magazine. When I saw his book about Homer's three epic poems before Christmas, I became so curious. In each strip there is the summary of Iliad, Odyssey and Batrachomyomachia cantos – and there is always an ending joke, that often is not funny but makes you smile and keeps the attention alive on the real story. It is a parody that allows who reads to love the classics, encouraging the curiosity on what could be the real story and how Homer told the story. If we don't interpret the book like this, this comics could be seen as repetitive, simple, superficial.

Consigliatissimo! 4,5 🌟
