First I have to say that I loved loved this book. I love Salvatore he is my new book boyfriend because he is the man. He is everything a woman needs in a man and he is devoted to what is his and he takes care of what is his. This story also broke my heart because of what Aria went through when she was kidnapped and tortured. Then this story well one character really pissed me off and that was Aria's father because he is an arsehole! Your daughter gets kidnapped and tortured and all you can think about is how she is not pure anymore and not worthy of her name. Are you kidding me I wanted to kick his arse so bad. I wanted to jump through mu kindle and beat the living shiz out of him.
Salvatore though he stole my heart. He went to Aria's father several times to ask him if he could marry Aria and each time the father said no. I thought he is good enough to kill for you but not good enough to marry your daughter. But darkness always comes to light even in the worse of circumstances because when Aria is taken and comes back and is deemed unfit for the family Marcellus Aria's brother asks Salvatore to marry her. Now Salvatore will have to make up his mind as to whether or not he will marry Aria.
This is an amazing story and can I just say the ending that ending was EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aria is the eldest daughter of Baptiste the leader of the Funar Clan. Aria has been being groomed for the marriage to an important clan member since she was little. Aria just left a meeting with Baptiste when she is kidnapped. Salvatore is an assassin and Marcel Aria’s oldest brother has called to ask Salvatore to find her. Salvatore has been trying to bid for Aria for awhile but Baptiste would not allow it. Aria has been kidnapped by the Chinese and Cheng the leader is not a merciful man. Baptiste double crossed him and now Aria will pay. Aria is beaten and Cheng takes her virginity by raping her and then all his men are allowed to rape every day for over a month. One of Cheng’s men gives Aria the chance to escape and she takes it. Marcel tells Salvatore that he wants Sal to take care of Aria for the rest of her life. Aria is treated terribly by Baptiste after what she went through. There is an agreement for marriage between Aria and Salvatore. Will Aria find that she feels safer with Salvatore? What will Aria do when she finds out she got pregnant from her time with Cheng and his men? Will Salvatore finally get to marry Aria? Will Salvatore and Aria find love and happiness?

This book was intense. I did not started the series from the first book but it is easy to follow and keeps you in. Aria is a strong woman and went to a traumatic experience but she survived. Salvatore was in love with her but was not allow to court her until she was broken, but he knew she was strong and took her as his wife. Aria blossom to the woman that Salvatore always knew she was with his love.

Wow!!
I got hooked on the Clans series by reading the brotherhood boxset. I was eager to read this book when it came up on my newsfeed.
The story is of Salvatore and Aria. When Aria is kidnapped, she goes through so much at the hands of her kidnappers. It was inhumane. I thought Aria would never recover.
Salvatore is an Assassin. He secretly rescues her. Her father feels she is damaged now and worthless to him. He accepts Sal's proposal to marry Aria.
I loved how Sal and Aria relationship developed. Sal treated Aria like a queen. Her safety was of utmost importance to him.
When her life is in danger yet again, he pledges to keep her safe. How will Sal remove this danger and what will it cost them?
I found Aria recovery from her kidnapping ordeal to be very unrealistic. She seemed to bounce back fairly quickly. Her behaviour on her wedding night seemed quite unbelievable.
After a woman has endured and gone through repeated acts of humiliation and degradation through rape and beatings and to happily consent to being intimate with her husband without any difficulties is unbelievable.
I enjoyed how the story developed but the scenes didn't feel like they flowed correctly and had difficulty in understanding where was occurring.

Holy hell this book was intense. The forth in the series and it may be the best yet!!!!! Salvatore is a monster, a hired hitman, a killer!!! He has watched Aria for years and have wanted her for his own. Yet he was never worthy enough for her hand according to her father, his boss!! When Aria gets taken and unimaginable things are done to her, her father then feels she is of no good to him now. Salvatore can now finally have her and he does everything he can to not let her be hurt again. This story is strong and powerful. It’s dark and edgy and you really feel the commitment from Salvatore. Another page turner and five star read!!!

Wow! Deceit will grab you from the first page with so many unexpected turn of events you definitely didn't see coming!

Deceit by Elizabeth Knox and Iris Sweetwater is one of the best books I have read. This is the fourth book in The Clans series. This is the story of Aria Funar and Salvatore (Sal) Moretti. Aria is the daughter of the head of the Funar clan. Sal is a hitman for the Arcane, the largest hit for hire company owned by Moretti crime family. Sal has always had a thing for Aria but her father would never consider him as good enough to marry his daughter. After Aria had a traumatic experience, her father no longer deems her worthy of being in the family or useful to him any longer. Sal again wants to marry her and she agrees. From the first time they met there has been a connection between them and it gets stronger every day that they spend together. This book has suspense, action, romance, mafia, Russian clans, Chinese, twists and turns, and emotional highs and lows. This was an awesome read and I definitely recommend it. I can’t wait to read the next book by these two amazing authors.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I have to say that these two authors are a forced to be reckoned with. They weave their tales and keep you glued to the pages, you will not want to put this one down ladies! Aria and Salvatore’s story is crazy good, it’s compelling, on the edge or your seat with anticipation, twisted, off the chart chemistry and an unrequited love. Aria is a fighter and will not lie down and take what her father is dishing out. Salvatore, strong, sexy and wants to be with Aria, he will be there for her always. Their story is so emotional, you get all the feels Elizabeth Knox and Iris Sweetwater have done it again with this installment in the series. Wow, just wow, no spoilers from me, loved this book and loving the series. I highly recommend this book.

This story is filled with family obligation, torture, betrayal, and blood shed. Will Salvatore be able to protect Aria from the darkness that surrounds them or will she end up a casualty in a battle for power? I look forward to reading more by these two authors.

Are you looking for a dark, twisted, edge of your seat book?? Then look no further because this is it!! Hands down, one of the best books I have read so far by Elizabeth Knox and Iris Sweetwater and I have read ALL of Elizabeth Knox’s books!!

It was ok
The storyline was a little hard to follow. Because I couldn’t feel the characters. The characters fell a little flat on personality. I was hoping for .....I don’t know, passion, hurt, betrayal. That good cry when something horrific happens. Then the feeling heartbreak at betrayal. I wanted to be on the verge of tears but I wasn’t. Something horrible happened to her and yet she’s fine. Life moved on. I don’t know .......all the parts that should have been emotional left me confused on why after all that happened she didn’t react?

Great!
I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book about control, manipulation, revenge, and overall getting yourself together and getting back what you need to get your life back on track. Aria and Salvator they were a very beautiful couple to me. Even though the circumstances as to how they got together was devastating on her part. He has always wanted her from the beginning. Some parts of this story is really sad but the outcome is really great. Great read. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Another FREAKING AWESOME book by Elizabeth Knox and Iris Sweetwater. I've never been disappointed in a book that comes out with these two authors and they seem to have the magic to write amazing story's together. Dark, Twisted and so MANY Surprises in this book but oh so good!!! Love Aria and Sal, I can't wait for the next book to come out!!!!!!!!

What an intense, dark, and twisted read.
Aria and Salvatore will have on the edge of.your seat right from the beginning to end. It has so many twist and turns and up and downs you won't be able to stop reading. Each chapter will have your heartbeating fast and your mind wonder what is going on. Do can't wait to read the next in this series amazing reads all of them.

This book was sooooooo intense. There were so many twist and turns that I just couldn't put it down. I loved the beautiful surprise at the end of the book. I really can't wait to see what happens next. Looking forward to the next book.

Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Aria endured so much in such a short time. I don’t want to state any spoilers but it’s a must read. This is the 4th book in the clans series and I can’t wait to read more.
