So Leslie lives from the end of book 2, and creepy beach/tattoo guy blows his brains out...
Kane realizes he cannot keep her safe so he walks away. Leslie goes nuts, telling him how he runs instead of talking, how she's sick and tire of how he makes her feel used, degraded etc...**I love how she stands up for herself**
Logan--bouncer guy from karaoke--shows up at the shelter to ask her out. They go that night to a gala--it seems Logan is rich as well...real estate developer. They share a passionate kiss (yeah!) but then Kane calls frantic that he hit a dog in rain and asks her to come quick to save the poor thing.
She stays strong, even though they go at it cuz they cannot keep their hands off one another!
Out at the karaoke bar dancing w/David, she gets that uneasy feeling and then she thinks she sees Chase, but dismisses it cuz she's drinking...she heads over to the ladies room and guess who's in the stall...yep...and he ruffied her so she's starting to pass out and all. Oh man, Chase is creepy to the MAX--it was hard reading what he was doing to her...totally delusional.
Just as she's about to be raped, Kane rushes in and beats him unconscious (again).
After she's let out of the hospital, she asks if she can go home with Kane.
He pampers her while she's recovering from the attack and its nice to see them settling in together...
Kane takes her out dancing, where they run into Logan...but nobody makes a scene. They're dancing away and letting the music move them when Leslie asks Kane to take her home to bed. Something shifts between them, and they both feel it, and Kane tells her he loves her ...the next morning, he calls his lawyer to tell him to add Leslie to his accounts and to send two (credit) cards--one in her name, and one in Bridgeshaw. Then he calls the landlord to see if he has any other properties with a view, and buys it right up sight unseen. Then he calls Dylan to share the good news he's going to ask her to marry him.
Then Dylan texts back saying the shelter has been vandalized again...

It took a couple of chapters for me to get into this story, but once I was in that was it. I couldn't put the book down until I had read every single word that has been written.
There are surprises through out the story, some you may see coming while others you won't. Some surprises are large, while the others are small. But each and everyone holds equal importance, with regards to making the book the fantastic read that it is.
Each and every single emotion that the characters go through can be felt, I actually went through the emotions along with the characters, there were times that I wanted to smack the main male and female characters. But they both redeemed themselves.
This book is also available on audible.

Well this o r has some thrilling suspense I loved this ! Even more sept oh of character is in the pages ‘ I don’t think Leslie can trust Kane after all he’s done. I want her too because once he has committed ! He is in to WIN! And he has enemies coming after them ! I hope she doesn’t put herself in danger ! Cliffhanger
