Hope’s life had crashed and burned. The only person who she could truly rely on was gone, and she was left in a world that no longer made sense. Blue was gone, Memphis and Gus were unsure what to do with a mourning empath, and on top of that, the people responsible were still out there, destroying lives and smiling about it. But that was going to change right now. Hope was going to find the people who cleaved away the other part of her soul, and she was going to burn their world down.
When I was nine, my grandmother and her friends used to read and swap Harlequin Mills and Boons novels. When I was busted reading one, they started sneaking me boxes full of strong heroines and rugged men. Thus started a long love affair with the romance genre. Then I discovered urban fantasy, and fell in love with broody Alphas and sexy paranormals, and combining them together was a no brainer. Then I discovered Reverse Harem.... Oh my. Why choose, am I right?
Drama, drama, damn drama... This series has become an endless set of books full of drama... But it's tasty like a sweet silky chocolate piece of delicious mess!... I highly recommend this series to anyone that loves paranormal, RH, asshole alphas, romance novels...
Uggghh...Just like book one, there was a lot of skimming and skipping. I don't understand the change of pace and tone by the author on this section of the series, especially after how amazing The Redeemable and The Unrepentant was. The Fallen is more along the lines of a Young Adult book...it's just so slow and sluggish in comparison. Not a fan.
--Rating - 2 stars - disappointed --Steam - 2 stars - odd...in comparison to The Redeemable and The Unrepentant. No where near the same level of excitement. --Storyline - 2 stars - so slow --Plot Twists - 1 star - nothing exciting --Emotional Pull - 1 stars - n/a --Writing - 2 stars - difficult to get in to --Denouement - n/a --Cliffhanger? - yes --HEA? - no
So so good, but such a massive cliffhanger! Hope is kinda thought of as a goody two shoes in Rellas books so I was curious to see where her story would go. 2 fallen angels, a hitman, and maybe another Angel in her harem, plus the death of her sister has changed a lot. This book is real in the way that it shows depression and PTSD, instead of her just magically being on with everything, which I like. I'm hoping to see the tattoo artist Cain (such a heart of gold) Marco, and maybe even Adnan (if he pulls his head out of his behind) in the next book as they hopefully take an evil organization and a bad Archangel down.
This book picks up with hope not long after the devastating events at the end of Rella’s books. Hope is heartbroken and lost, but luckily has her guys around to help pull her back together and to start to find justice/revenge/redemption for all those involved. Add in some steamy scenes, some not quiet declarations of love and some Archangels in unusual places then top it all of with one heck of a cliffhanger and you’ve got yourself a pretty epic read.
Its getting good! I'm really intrigued by the back story with the trafficking and all the illegal shit that Hope and her guys are uncovering.
Just makes you think about our world now, you know for a fact there are some shady and terrible wealthy, "good", higher up people out there who put on this front of being a decent person when really they're taking advantage of everyone who is bellow them.
I love this series so hard. The characters are awesome and you find your self sucked into their lives. The story is good, reassures you of some things from previous books. The development of the MFC and the relationships are delicious and entrancing. Can’t recommend highly enough
So Hope is going through a tough time. Still sufferring from ptsd and having angels pop on and out of her life when she least expects it, does not help. And She doesnt know what to think about Blue. Great story cant wait to read the next
The story of Hope and her man continues. Estrella is dead, Blue is in critical condition and Hope is only slightly closer at taking down Tenebrae. Memphis, Guison and Azriel don't know how to help her, especially Azriel who has conflicting emotions. He wants her but to have her, he needs to fall. The book ends on a cliffhanger, all due to Uriel!!!
I love how we see Hope grow personally, and in her relationship with her guys.
Hope's story might be my favourite out of all the Hell's Redemption series. She's angry yet so full of goodness. Her love is a great healer. Just love this.
