What is Human Performance for Tactical Athletes?
Tactical athletes face heightened levels of mental and physical stress daily in order to do their job and keep our communities safe. They have chosen a career that is inherently dangerous, where mistakes can have serious consequences. Our goal is to provide comprehensive, science-backed training and education in all pillars of human performance―nutrition, conditioning, stress management, sleep, and resilience―to help tactical athletes finish their careers as strong as they started. Written with tactical athletes in mind, the EAT SWEAT THRIVE methodology will help you maximize human performance in any arena. This book creates a framework for making small, incremental changes that lead to major lifestyle improvements.

Nutrition and exercise is very simplified here. Nutrition focuses on carbohydrate as the main energy source in the body which is hotly debated. But the mental fitness section of this book, while also simplified, covers this topic better than anything else I have read on the topic for tactical athletes. I would recommend this book to any “recruit” or “boot” that doesn’t have the luxury of a coach early in their career.

Excellent book on training tactical athletes. As one, there are not enough programs/information on training and maintaining readiness. The "do or die" mentality can not be applied to every training session because it would defeat the purpose.
