Royce Wheeler thought he had it all - a great corporate job, a secure relationship, and a nice home in the city. When his omega fell pregnant, Royce was overjoyed - until he realized that the baby wasn't his. His partner had cheated on him with Royce's own boss! With his relationship in tatters and his career on the line, Royce is desperate to get out of the city and gain some perspective.

Patrick Murrin is facing a tough decision. As the only heir to his widowed omega father, he will be expected to take over the family business when his dad retires in a few months. He doesn't hate the diner - he works there himself, and with the amount of time he spent there as a child, it's like a second home. But his real passion is art, and the idea of never being able to follow his dream makes Patrick's heart sink in his chest.

A chance meeting between Royce and Patrick ignites an instant attraction - but when Royce's ex shows up the same day Patrick realizes his own unplanned pregnancy, claiming that the baby is his after all, Royce’s choice is painted in broad strokes: take a chance in this small town with an omega that makes his heart race? Or return to the city that used to hold his dreams?

Carter’s Crossing is a quaint little town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where some people go to get away, others arrive to start over, and plenty just find themselves when they’re lost or broken hearted. This contemporary mpreg series is for adults only and is sure to leave you believing in the magic of true love and happily ever afters! This series is a standalone series and can be read in any order.

*The way I knew that Brendan doctored those paternity results because I grew up watching Soap Operas 😭*

After catching his boyfriend cheating on him with his boss (!!!), Royce decides to take an extended vacation and lick his wounds in hometown. While helping his brother Cam with some marketing for his brewery, Royce falls in love with a younger omega named Patrick...who also happens to be his brother's ex.

This was a super cute. low angst, age-gap romance (Royce is 40 and Patrick is 25). If you thought that the angst would come from Patrick being the brother's ex, you thought wrong lol Cam is super chill about his older brother dating his ex! Cam and Patrick weren't even that serious when they dated so he gives them their blessing with a gentle warning for Royce not to hurt Patrick. No, the drama/angst comes in the form of Royce's AWFUL ex Brendan who rolls up to Royce's hometown-VERY PREGNANT-claiming that Royce is the father of his baby and demanding that he forgive him for cheating WITH HIS BOSS. Of course, Brendan's revelation comes on the same day that Patrick finds out that he's also pregnant. In summation, after a bit of drama between Patrick and Royce about where they're going to live and Brendan being exposed after attempting to COMMITT PATERNITY FRAUD (obviously Royce's boss is the father, WHEW) Royce, Patrick and their baby live happily ever after.

Two things that bugged me about this book:
1) Patrick and his father were the only omegas in this book that were allowed to be fully fleshed out characters. Every other omega in this book was a straight up caricature. Brendan's personality was basically being horny and a cheater. Patrick's best friend Tom and Nick, who works at Cam's bar, were also pretty one dimensional. I know that Tom and Nick get their own romances in this series, and I hope that they're fleshed out more.

2) The second thing that bugged me was how freaking passive Royce and Patrick were, the lack of effort to fight for their relationship pissed me. Other characters have to encourage them to fight for each other and even then, they're like "meh." Royce only makes a grand gesture after finding out Brendan's baby wasn't his! This dumbass was on his way back to New York to work for his old boss YES, THE SAME BOSS WHO BANGED HIS EX and he calls his boss to get his job back only to find out that his boss is the father of Brendan's baby. This idiot just believed Brendan when he came back with the paternity results that showed he was the father. TELL ME YOU'VE NEVER WATCHED A SOAP OPERA WITHOUT TELLING ME YOU'VE NEVER WATCHED A SOAP OPERA. He should've told Brendan that he'll have a second paternity test done and HE'LL drop off the sample at a testing center of his choice and he'll also be the one to pick up the results.

¸.•´¸★*´¨) ¸.•*¨)
(¸.★¨*.¸¸.•`★¤Caught in the crossing...¤★¨*.¸¸.*ˑ˞★

This was an impulse buy and read the instant I saw it in my DM. And trust me, I do not regret having it in my forever collection. Though MPREG, this first episode in the Carter's Crossing did not focus on pregnancy, but on building a relationship out of what never should have been.

When Royce caught his omega getting down and dirty with his boss, he knew it was time to check himself. He left, heading back home to Carter's Crossing to sort out his life. Meeting his brother's ex, Patrick, seemed to be the icing on the cake, but Royce was tired of being on the rebound. He was looking at solidifying his relationships and finding an omega who would not cheat on him.

Patrick only wanted to be happy, and his art was that. Yet, his omega father was making it hard on him, wanting Patrick to take over the family business. Flirting with Royce led to something he had not considered. Now there was drama left, right and center and Patrick was looking at a situation that could change his entire life, figuratively and literally. And what happens when Royce's very pregnant ex came back for a reunion?

Yes, this was a very pleasant read and kept me reading straight through the end. Yes, it was fast paced, but it packed a punch and the author was able to tell his story by the end. I will be checking out book two and hope that it is just as good.

Royce Wheeler thought he had it all with a great job, beautiful home and a relationship with an omega he saw a future with. All that came crashing down when he caught his boyfriend cheating on him with none other than Royce’s own boss. He needs to get away so he heads to his home town to figure things out.

Patrick Murrin loves his home town. With his widowed omega father planning on retiring soon, he expects Patrick to take over the family business. As much as Patrick loves the diner and considers it a second home, his passion lies with his art. It’s what brings him to life.

A chance encounter between Royce and Patrick has sparks flying between the two of them. It doesn’t take long for things to move forward. Patrick doesn’t want to get attached because he knows there’s an expiration date on this romance with Royce when he has to head back to his fancy job and apartment in New York. Reality sets in when Royce’s ex comes to town pregnant and claiming that Royce is the father. Patrick thinks there’s definitely no chance of him getting his happily ever after.

I loved this story and Royce and Patrick were great characters. I also really enjoyed the background characters as well. It was a fun and enjoyable read. Seems like a great start to a New Series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This was book 1 in the "Carter's Crossing" Alpha Royce Wheeler into a conference room at work to find his omega boyfriend having sex with his boss its not the first time he has been cheated on so he leaves New York City behind to head home to Carter's Crossing. While at home he decides to help his brother Cam with marketing for his brewery. Omega Patrick Murrin is facing a tough decision his omega dad wasn't to retire and leave him the diner that he started with his alpha dad before he died. This was a pretty good read that I liked. When these two meet sparks fly but Patrick is Cam's ex so he is off limits. While at a carnival they hang out and when they go out and it was was ok. Royce knows that he has to take it slow and when Patrick tells him he is a virgin they get hot and heavy. When they have sex the condom breaks. This was a good read Royce's ex Brandon shows up with a baby bump the same day Patrick finds out he is pregnant and Royce decides to go back to NYC until he talks to his boss. I have read this author before this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Omega's brew by Aiden Bates.
Royce Wheeler had it all. But when he goes to the office he catches his omega with his boss. He decides to go away for a couple of months. He leaves the city.
Patrick Murrin has a tough decision to make. He is the only heir to his widowed omega father and he will be expected to take over the family business when his dad retires in a few months.
They meet by chance and Royce feels an instant attraction to Patrick. Patrick feels the same. Can they make a go of a new relationship?
This was a very good read with likeable characters. There were some characters I didn't like. Loved the ending. 4*.

No fim, eh... nada demais.

A lot of telling, not enough showing.

It was going ok until...

"...He used his hold on me as leverage to thrust even harder, even deeper, until his cock bottomed out against my cervix." That is where I disconnect with this book 52% in. I love mpreg books they fascinate me but I am sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want there to be any reference to a man's cervix. I found it hard to stay in the realm that these were two men as the MC's. There were also so many contradictory description that I kind of felt lost and the end with the proposal and all was poorly executed. I may give this author and this set another chance to see if the other story is a little more tidy than this was

A new series!

And I really liked it. And, even as this is a MPREG story, is not one that is focused on the pregnancy but on building the relationship between Royce and Patrick. I liked that these two weren't building conflict through an inability to communicate with each other. They talk about what's going on and their feelings, and there was no drama but understanding. The conflict comes from the sense of duty of both characters, about what they think they must do, opposed to what they want to do.

A truly satisfying story, with a great narration done by Robin Woodson.

I have to say I really didn't understand the world building in this book.
I love omegaverse, but this seems to have some weak world building with a lot of flaws.

I didn't understand the bizarre focus on pregnancy without a strong commitment or why pregnancy seemed to be thrown on top of every relationship that was already so weak and the pair hadn't sorted themselves out...

It was just a big mess of insta love and insta marriage and needless angst and miscommunications...

Nice romance. I loved it.

Royce breaks up with his boyfriend when he finds out he's cheating on him with his boss. Hurt and disappointed, because it's not the first time he's been through something like this, he decides to go back home to think. He wants to turn his life around. He wants a sincere relationship, love, a family, but he can't find it.

Patrick is going through a difficult time. His father wants him to take over the family business, and he doesn't want to. He knows how important it is to his father, but it's not his dream. He loves art, it's what he spends his free time doing. It's not his only dream. NHe wants a relationship, someone to love and with whom to share everything. He wants a future together, a family, but he hasn't found it. Yet.

As soon as they get to know each other, they feel attracted to each other. And, as they get to know each other, their closeness increases. Royce likes Patrick, in part, because he is different from the other omegas. He is sincere, a good person, he will never deceive another. And Patrick likes Royce, among other reasons, because he is not like the other alpha he knows. He's not a cocoon, he doesn't just think about him.

I love that Royce wants to change, not only for Patrick, but also for himself. He wants something more in his life. And he couldn't do it, not with the life he led. He hadn't approached anyone, not the way he does with Patrick. It's very easy to be with him, to talk. But he's afraid that Patrick won't feel the same way.

I also loved that he wants to go slowly, that he thinks about Patrick first, that he plans things so that everything is perfect.

Patrick was afraid of getting too close to Royce. He was afraid he would break his heart. But he wanted to be with him. No one had made him feel like him. I love that he risks leaving his comfort zone, that he gives himself a chance to be happy.

I love his friendship with Tom. They are very different, they don't think the same things, but they are always there for each other.

I love them together. And I love that their age difference is not a problem.

I love Cam. He's there for Royce, and he's there for Patrick. He doesn't want his brother to hurt him, to break his heart.

I love Patrick's father, his advice, and his memories.

I love Tom. He's seen how they look at each other, and he does everything he can to make them spend time together.

I recommend it.

I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.

the first book of the counter crossing series was really entertaining. It definitely made me laugh I purchased the rest of the series by a guy that knows a thing or two about writing as well as bringing the drama. What do you do when your live-in boyfriend is a ho? What how do you go to work when you learn your boss loves him some hos? Sometimes you've just got to get away from it all. But often times running away while reflexive brings its own problems and sometimes some great surprises. Running away is only a temporary solution eventually you have to man up and face the problems you thought you left behind.

And because of your Hefty trash bag full of garbage (hurt, pain, anger, outrage, and betrayal) that you are carrying with you any new relationships could be tarnished by the stink of your garbage. Especially one with a sweet conflicted young man in the middle of his own hard decision making. Initially this older Alpha seems like more piled on a heap of troubles. But slowly like then love blossoms. It takes time but it is undeniable. The happiness they both experienced - that others who'd been skeptical could see it too. Just when dreams and HEA start to come true, a huge snarky monkey wrench is thrown in the mix and lands in the gears sending sprockets, bolts, and bits flying everywhere.

What can be done now? More hard now heartbreaking decisions? Being surrounded by loving family and friends helps a little, but the misery level is in large exponential numbers. What's an Omega to do? For that matter an Alpha who brought a lot of this down on them all?

I really enjoyed reading this book. Despite all the complications there is with a Mpreg and HEA! Now I can't wait to start the Second book in the series.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the Carter's Crossing series. In this book, Royce is a marketing businessman who finds his omega with his boss in an awkward position, ending their relationship. Royce is an alpha and he just turned 40 years old. He has never had a good relationship with an omega, they usually cheat on him or are only with him for his money. Royce decides to leave New York for a vacation to return to his hometown Carter's Crossing. Royce goes to stay with his brother Cam, who runs a small brewery. Cam is trying to save his business and needs help. Royce will help him with the marketing after they find the right brew. One day while at the brewery, Patrick comes in with a delivery from his father's deli. Patrick is an omega and briefly dated Cam. Cam notices the attraction between Patrick and Royce and tells both of them they are off limits to each other. Royce agrees but still finds the omega interesting. Royce is also a bit of a playboy and Cam doesn't want Patrick hurt. Royce has started to want more in life and he is looking to settle down and have a family. When The attraction between Patrick and Royce continues to grow, Royce asks Patrick to dinner. They agree to take things slow and things go well until Royce's ex Brandon shows up. I really loved this book. i love Patrick. He was so sweet and he was so good for Royce. Royce wanted to be happy and thought he could be with Patrick. Another great one from Aiden. Well done.

Love Overcomes

Royce has decided to give up on the idea of love after another relationship ends. Every omega Royce has dated seem to find that cheating is a good thing, he has just found his so called boyfriend getting down and dirty with his boss. Taking a few months vacation time he heads back to Carter's Crossing and his brother to lick his wounds.
Patrick can't believe that no alpha in Carter's Crossing is the special one for him, his friends make fun of him and the fact he won't just sleep around with some of the men makes it even harder. Struggling to find what is his path into the future, whilst trying to not let down his dad or anyone else. Calling into his ex boyfriends work to drop off some of his favourite pie, Patrick meets Royce and can't remember ever feeling like this.
Both realise feelings are growing and a romantic evening and broken condom present them with an unexpected pregnancy, but Royce also has some big decisions to make. The arrival of Royce's ex with an obvious pregnancy bump only makes the situation worse.
A great start to this new series from Aiden, an author that makes his characters lovable, strong and loyal.
Can't wait for the next in this series.

Aiden Bates starts off this new series with an enjoyable age-gap romance with great characters and a sweet story! I really liked Royce and Patrick, especially Patrick’s sass! It was easy to root for these guys, they both really deserved that HEA!

Royce has a reputation as a bit of a playboy, but I felt like it was more questionable taste in men, especially when he finds his boyfriend and boss together! He takes some time off work and heads to Carter’s Crossing to help his brother with his brewery. He meets Patrick, a young omega who briefly dated his brother. Patrick is saving himself though, he wants the right alpha. Plus he’s trying to figure out his future and whether he’s going to follow his dreams or take over his dad’s diner.

These two have great chemistry right from the start and there’s just no denying it! They’ve got a physical and emotional connection and they both seem to realize that they have something special together. But life gets even more complicated when Royce’s ex shows up claiming to be pregnant with his baby, oh and Patrick has just discovered he’s pregnant too.

I really enjoyed this read, it was fun and sweet and I was hooked! I think it came together wonderfully and am definitely looking forward to more in this series!

This was…um. Not great.

Royce comes back to small town Virginia following a bad break up and meets Patrick. An omega who happens to be everything Royce ever wanted! Wow! Patrick gets pregnant IMMEDIATELY and then they get married. IMMEDIATELY. Everything happens at break-neck speed and all of a sudden they’re in everlasting love, married, pregnant and perfect.

There’s a mad, cheating ex who shows up at some point to rain on the parade but we don’t get a heat, a rut or even any build up to our peak. It’s all just thrown at you in a rush. They don’t even have to wait for a heat to get pregnant - just any old time works fine!

It didn’t do it for me. Importantly, I didn’t like Royce. He was arrogant and his entire personality and character changed on a dime as soon as he met Patrick. It felt very disingenuous to me.

I didn’t want to read about Tom or Nicky and it’s so disappointing to me because Omegas are usually my favorite part of any Omegaverse novel.

I guess I just saw potential in this and realized pretty quickly that that was all going out the window. I won’t read any more of this series or this author. Just not for me.

Royce walked into the boardroom and found his boyfriend having sex with his boss after Royce dumps his boyfriend he walks out of the boardroom with 2 months vacation and goes back home in the Blue Ridge Mountains where his brother owns a bar. Patrick went into Cam’s to deliver him some food from his omega dads and his diner called The Lonely Hearts Diner and that’s where he meets Royce, they are both attracted to each other but Cam tells his brother that Patrick is his ex so that’s a no go for Royce but he just can’t get that sweet omega out of his mind. Patrick is working at the diner with his omega father they both miss their alpha husband and father since he died in a tragic accident but Patrick’s father expects him to take over the diner one day but that’s not Patrick’s dream. Royce and Patrick have sizzling chemistry but there’s trouble heading their way in the form of Royce’s ex, so will it pull them apart or make them stronger?. This is another fantastic story by Aiden Bates and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Omega's Brew: Delightful! Karma wins! Royce returns home to Carter's Crossing after catching his boyfriend, Brendan having sex in the confeence room with his boss, Don. Keeping his wits about himself, Royce negotiates a 2 month leave of absence. Royce's brother, Cam greets him with teasing joy. He nows has a tester for his beer. Patrick, omega arrive with food from his dad's diner. Patrick, Cam's ex who's usually shy is intantly attracted and gets a light flirt on. Royce is gentlemanly responsive. The courtship is fun and romantic. How does Cam take the courtship? The looming question is what happens when the leave is over? Bigger question is what does it mean when Brendan shows up? The story keeps you comfortable and intrigued and pulls you on the edge when Brendan shows up. What does he want? Good story. Carter's Crossing sounds like its going to be a fun town. This is a fairly formulatic, angst free, short omegaverse story. It's not adventurous, thought provoking or particularly ambitious. It's short, sweet and to the point. Why does it deserve 4 stars despite being fairly mediocre? Well, for starters it does not claim to be anything different than it is (as a lot of those type of novels tend to do, trying to trick you into reading it); And for that honesty, it gains an extra brownie point. This book does deliver on exactly what it says on a tin: it's a cute, stereotypical Omegaverse story. It's not cheesy, dumb or eyeroll inducing, just more of a simple Hallmark type of story. So if you like that, or in a mood to read a bit of a idelised, angst free mm omegavese romance, you won't be disappointed.
If you looking for grittier, darker more emotional read, this is definitely not for you. I, personally love darker omegavese reads, but now and then need a pallet cleanser. This served that purpose nicely.

A great, engaging read and with an age gap to boot!

When Royce finds his boyfriend in a precarious situation with his boss, he takes his vacation time and goes home. His brother is the owner/operator of a bar and he spends some time helping Cam with his new batch ideas. He's not looking for a one night stand, but he's not sure he's ready to trust anyone again, even though he's 40.

When Cam's ex, Patrick, waltzes into the place, Royce can't help but feel a pull for him. But he's got some rather large issues to deal with regarding his job in NY and his ex.

I totally felt the relationship between the two MC's and I really liked that they took the time they needed to figure things out. I wish it had been a bit longer of a story because it felt like the ending was rushed between them.

This May-Dec romance is sooooo good. Patrick is the small town guy who is waiting for his life to start. His dad has expectations that do not match his own ambitions. Royce is the older alpha with omega problems. As in, he keeps dating the wrong omegas.

I was drawn into the romance right away. Well, after the first Jerry Springer moment that left me horrified in a I cannot watch/do not block my view kind of way. There is enough juicy action throughout to keep everything interesting and the story flowing.

So wow. This is a really put together book with all the hallmarks of a must read. There are great MC'S, a funny cast of supporting characters and a charming love story. The reality TV show drama had me both cringing in the best way possible and smiling all the way through.

Royce had the extreme misfortune of walking into the boardroom with a file, and finding his boss with his now soon to be ex.

Paid vacation, right boss?

Royce heads back to his home town, to help his brother Cam with his Brewery - putting his marketing skill to use for the home team.

And he sees the best thing in his hometown. Not the pie that Cam claims is the best - Patrick, the young alpha delivering it.

Are they on their way to a loving life together? Or journey interrupted by the Ex?

True love can them an amazing future together with their baby girl, if they take a leap and trust in love.

Sweet romance looks like it is coming up ahead if they just following their hearts, despite any fears or other roadblocks.

What an interesting and sweet new series! I most definitely enjoyed this one a lot, had a hard time putting the book down and I am thoroughly curious how the series will continue.

Character breakdown;

Royce: despite him being describe as a playboy alpha he didn't strike me as one. In fact he just seem to be sh*t out of luck when it came to finding decent loyal omegas. His ex was a piece of work that's for sure.

Patrick: I loved how sassy the was and how easily it was to like him. And the patience he had with Royce was admirable, I liked that he wasn't dramatic or over sensitive.

Favorite quote: “I love you too, Royce. I love you in this moment right now. I’ll love you twenty years from now. I’ll love you forever— and I’ll love you beyond that, too.” -Patrick

A great start to a new series some emotion but enough enjoyment, can't wait to see what else the author has in store.

After a break up Royce heads home to Carter’s Crossing, Virginia where he meets Patrick.
After finding his omega boyfriend bent over his boss's desk Alpha Royce takes leave and heads out of New York for his home town of Carter’s Crossing, Virginia. His brother Cam welcomes him home and asks him to help with his ailing brewery when he meets Patrick Murray whose father own the local diner he finds his attention caught. Patrick is not like the omega's Royce is used to which leaves him unsure of how to engage his interest. Patrick is a virgin who wants the happy ever after not a one night stand so he is wary of his friend Cam's older more polished brother while still being attracted to him. An Alpha/Omega romance to relax and enjoy.

Sweet and fun Alpha/Omega story about finding real love. I so enjoyed this cute little town in the Blue Ridge Mountains. i love that area and this story will have you wanting to take a trip there. The story-line was good and i so enjoyed all the characters. Our MC's are well crafted and you will love their interactions. i really enjoyed both MC's family and their interactions were special.

Royce and Patrick have an awesome steamy connection! You will be rooting for their HEA! There is just a little angst and a lot of love and growth as they learn what they want and who they are.

I recommend this entertaining story. I am so looking forward to the next book in this new Carter's Crossing series!!
