How does the band Bleu Streak celebrate the holidays? By singing, of course. Go on tour with this zany group as they get into all kinds of mischief along the way. Oh... And Maverick King? Oh yeah. This devilishly handsome drummer gets a special gift for Christmas. The trouble is trying to convince Izzy Walker to allow him to have her...

The second book in the Bleu series. We follow Maverick and Izzy. It’s a touching Christmas love story. Yes Christmas in July!! If you don’t like instant love stories than this book definitely won’t be for you!! But I enjoyed it. Maverick was a hoot to read about. I was entertained!! I definitely recommend this series and will be reading book 3 tomorrow. Who will we follow next????
A Bleu Streak Christmas is the second in a series from T.I. Lowe. This one would be very confusing if read by itself, so I would not recommend it as a stand alone novel. Its a cute, quick romance. Very clean. Good story, but the ending felt rushed.
It seems I am a sucker for rock band stories. I needed a Christmas story and this one fit the bill wonderfully. So I now want to read the rest of this series.
Finished this book in less than 4 hours! She nailed it again, reminding us that we all have God no matter what and to love and trust the people he brings into our lives. Hope there is more with this amazing family!
I enjoyed the book. Even though I read it out of order, it was easy to jump right into the story. I was drawn in by the pretty cover. I don't generally like shifting first-person, but the writing itself was good enough that I pushed through and enjoyed it.
Excellent Christmas read! Fun story of the Bleu Streak band's fast paced Christmas tour. Sweet romance and laugh out loud funny. Treat yourself to this Christmas adventure. I loved it.
A Bleu Streak Christmas is the second book of a three book series. I have read this book without the benefit of reading either of the other books of this series, which I intend to do as soon as possible. I could tell there was some back story with one of the main characters, Maverick King, one of the King twins. In fact, several times there were references to a back story, but in spite of that, the book easily stood alone as its own story. Once I read it however, and found it was part of a series, I definitely wanted to read the other two parts.
Bleu Streak is a rock band with shaky beginnings. But by the time this book starts, they are established and raring to go on tour. Some of the members of the band are married with children. It doesn't seem to hinder them from traveling, although it has slowed them down a bit. In fact, one of the wives is very pregnant, and will not be able to perform her usual jobs while traveling, so the band decided to hire a personal assistant to the manager. They hired Izzy Walker. As soon as Mave sees her, sparks start to fly. Unlike the "plastic women" he is used to, those that hang around rock stars, she doesn't seem impressed with him. In fact, she shies away from him most of the time. So now he is intrigued.
Interestingly, this book is written in the first person. Half the story is from Mave's point of view, while the other half is from Izzy's point of view. Don't expect formal language; this is not historical fiction. They talk in the moment, in the way you would expect someone in that age group to talk or to think. I'm not usually very comfortable with first person, but the author does this pretty well. It felt authentic and helped me gain a fresh point of view.
What I enjoyed most about this book were the pranks all the band members would play on each other. They were a family, with that family feel you get when you are comfortable in your skin and with each other. So the pranks were funny and downright creative. There were a lot of great belly laugh moments. I completely enjoyed this book, and that made the reading go quickly. It is supposed to be a novella, but it had the feel of a full length book. I felt I left the story knowing something of the experience of members of a band on tour. In the end, I couldn't help but be impressed with the fibre of this group of guys. Big hearted, kind, caring, bumbling, funny, but family. Nicely done, T.I. Lowe.
It was a fun, Christmas romance. Not too much Christmas, but a romance that happens quickly over the holiday season. All the characters are so likable, funny and unique. They have their flaws and pasts, but overcome them. I was surprised by the Christian message. Wasn't expecting it, but pleasantly surprised that this book was going to be "clean". And it was clean with just a hint of that rock'n roll naughtiness that comes with the band. But it's just some sweet and loving kisses.
This is your typical Christmas romance. Everything happened in a couple weeks and they had fallen in love. But like they mention in the book, they go on tour together and all that togetherness speeds things up. And they were a little older and knew themselves enough to know what they wanted.
It could've used one more edit. There were a few mistakes. But it didn't bother me too much.
A Bleu Streak Christmas is one of my favorite T.I. Lowe books with Lulu's Cafe still holding tightly to the top spot. I can't stop smiling as I finish this adorable story of Izzy and Mave and their whole wonderful family. It's unusual to read a story where the guy is the one always getting hurt....although one of Matthew McConaughey ' adorable movies does come to mind as I type that. Lol. I love how Lowe infuses the joy of being a true Believer into each and every story without overdoing it or being preachy...or judgmental. My plan to read everything Lowe has written by the end of this year, 2020, sure is helping to make the end of this crazy year worthwhile.
This Christmas novella was not really to my liking. It is centered around a popular boy band. A young, very shy woman takes on the job of being an assistant and accompanies the group while they are on tour. There was one clever scene when the band bus is stuck in traffic and the band members go to play on the roof. Mave, the drummer, uses the roof of the bus as a drum. I expected more from this popular author. I have read and enjoyed several of her full length novels.
It is so good to read a Christian romance that includes flawed characters who have been given a second chance by God's grace and forgiveness. Author T.I, Lowe brings her characters to life for her readers. I look forward to reading more of her ebooks!
T.I. Lowe excels in making you laugh and getting caught up in her romantic journey
The characters seem so real. They have a personality of their own. Mave is accident prone; Max is a prankster. Izzy, the shy girl, is so in love with Mave that she leaves her shyness behind, and the prank she pulls on Max is stellar.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Great characters. Giving God the glory without overdoing it. Clean but allowing human emotion to be real. Now I need to find another Bleu streak book.
I really enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I had saved it for a Christmas time read (which I like to do) and was not disappointed! I found this to be a clean and fun Christmas romp and highly recommend it!
I got this free on my kindle and wanted a light read. This was certainly light. Really not believable, and the "Christian" element is certainly lacking--the worst of worldly evangelifish-ism. But clean.
Just in time for Christmas, and the beginning of a new college course where reading for enjoyment is scarce. Enjoyed the ride journeying through with the crew. A good read indeed.
I am loving this series and Mave is my favorite now. Sorry Dillon. So far the men in this series know who their other half is and stop at nothing to get them. I am sad that there is only one more book in this series.
Sweet little Christmas romance...perfect for music fans ... Love that it shows Christian musicians in a balanced way. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
