A bit of a different spin on the whole shifter and pack mentality here. It had me scratching my head just a bit but moved on with the story and it worked well.
Did her Father love her or was he manipulating her from the grave? Whichever it may be CeCe doesn't have a lot of time to make things happen. Oh oh and her steps, yeah they'd been slapped a long time ago, what nerve and and the stepbrother would have been worried for bigger reasons than a drip thrown in his face.
I really liked how CeCe jumped all in but she really should have kept going, her conscience even bugged her a few times to spill the beans. I think both Chase and CeCe had issues dealing with he not having money and her having lots of money.
Wouldn't you know it money can cause you all kinds of worries even a spot of danger that has threatened CeCe's life. The sex is poppin off often and is smoking, now if they can communicate out of bed. *winks*

Short but oh sooooo hot with a bit of danger added in. I did not put this book down because there really was not a good place to stop. I stayed on the edge of my seat wondering what Cecily's sorta brother was up to. Her father died and her brother and stepmom want what was left to her. What will they do to get the inheritance? Oh it gets better! As a condition of her receiving her inheritance, she had to get married and get pregnant within a year. Pressure much? Chase owns a bar and Cecily just happens to drown her irritation in his bar. One thing leads to another.... and well lets just see if they can stay married (or alive) long enough to satisfy the conditions.

Cecily is a puma shifter and in order to get her inheritance from her father, she must marry and have a heir within a year. Chase owns a bar and agrees to marry Cecily. She keeps the the part about getting pregnant a secret. They go to Vegas, get married, and go to Colorado for three weeks. While there, they are attacked by a bear and then wolves. Can they make the marriage work or will her little omission tear them apart?
Sex, sex, and mystery. Told in Cecily's point of view. The ending was rushed. Everything happened so fast and things came out that was never mentioned. You'll need a cold shower after this book.

OK shifter romance
This is an OK shifter romance, but it felt like the couple was more in lust than in love. They had plenty of sexy times, but barely knew each other, so I just didn't believe they were in love.
It also bothered me that she didn't tell him that her father's will required her to get married and pregnant within a year. He didn't know about the pregnancy requirement until they had been married for a while -- and I don't think he would have forgiven that lie of omission as easily as he did.
But if you are looking for a quick shifter read, with plenty of steam, this is a good choice.

Started off grabbing my attention but fizzled at the end.
Cecily lies by omission to Chase about needing an heir as well as marriage, which was wrong on too many counts.
Chase’s reaction and take on that fact was interesting but the way that issue ended was too unbelievable and felt like a stop gap.
There is a bit of interest with some outsiders but it was too simple to know who was behind it all. A bit of other woman drama.
The big finale with the step brother ended up being a big nothing.
I was kindly offered this book by the authors but read it through KU.

Things a very stressful for Cecily. The death of her father forces her to marry quickly and have a baby within a year. Lucky for her she found Chase very quickly. He is a genuinely nice guy. He agrees to marry her but has no interest in her money. His hope is that when a year is up, she will want to continue the marriage. Cecily is pretty uptight, but she finds herself drawn to Chase and feelings quickly grow.
The path to marital bliss is certainly rocky and dangerous for them.

This was a very quick but enjoyable and entertaining read. One thing I didn't like was Cecily lies by omission to Chase about needing a heir. Chase's reaction on the issue was interesting but also how it was so easily dismiss was too unbelievable. Overall it was a good read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Wao! What a entertaining read. Got me glued to the very end. It has everything I look forward in a good book: action, intrigue and red hot romance. I loved the fact that the h was the one with the money and the H was so confident it didn't really made any difference. Highly recommended

Nice Read
This was a sweet quick read with Chase coming to Cecily's aid against Jackson, her stepbrother. They end up spending the night together and she hits him with a proposal that he doesn't refuse. I like how Malcolm was like an uncle to Cecily and made sure that Susan and Jackson got what they deserved.

Loved this story of Chase and Cecily. Her father has died and in order for her to take over as alpha of the pack she needs to marry and have a baby. This story has off the charts chemistry and hot sex and shifters! I love the surprise ending too.

This is an enjoyable shifter romance with a twist on the normal format. In most books you have a male shifter and a female human. In this book the female is the shifter but the male is still very strong and alpha like.

This story has the right elements, no build up. The speaking parts do not stop and then someone is trying to kill them. One paragraph of low angst and two speaking parts, the danger is gone. Thinking I'm lying, read the book.

I rarely ever rate a book 1 star
But personally this book was just bad. Stereotypical story to an extent. Predictable. Repeatively same wording about sexual pleasures. Just really bland. No excitement I truly struggled to even finish the book altogether.
