"We crave what we can't have…" A tropical storm-level romance swirls back to the East Coast. Raymond and Violet find themselves back in Manhattan, caught up in the love they have found for one another. Tensions are high, and not the good kind. The real world waiting for them isn't as happy to accept their union. Ray's parents are irate. No one approves of Violet. And the worst part of it all is that Ray's career is being threatened by a force that refuses to be unseen. A force that threatens to tank Ray's career as well as Violet's. Raymond is torn between his family and Violet. She is torn between her happiness and Ray's. And when storms collide, they never mix. One always wins out, in the end. Back to the real world and as we all know it isn't kind.

More challenges than ever await Raymond and Violet when they return to New York.
I won't say much other than Raymond's parents refuse to accept Violet and Ray can't live without her.
I will say that this book is a roller coaster of cause and effect, fickle selfish actions and a love that can only handle so much interference. Along with the interference there is a few breaths of fresh air when you add James along with Rays grandparents into the mix.

My emotions were all over the place. Happy for these two people who deserve love, anger mixed with loathing, sadness and I have to admit I just knew what the cliff hanger would be. Now I can only contemplate how the author will help these two out of a mess of a situation and hopefully find the happiness they both deserve.
