I have enjoyed the Playing for Love series and Messing with Miki was the perfect ending. In reading the four prior books in the series we were able to find out bits and pieces about Miki so it's no surprise that she is leaving her husband and moving back to New York, what is a surprise are the two hotties that she is seated between on her flight to New York, Oliver and Finn. I am sad to see this series ending but I know Tara Crescent has other great books in store for us. If you haven't read any of the Playing for Love series I suggest you start with the first book and read them in order that way you will get to know each of the women and the men that love them. You can see my full review here: https://nadineisobsessedwithbooks.blo...
The Hack is Miki, Finn & Oliver's Menage in Manhattan series. Tara Crescent's books always have a strong, feisty, and independent woman. There is never a shortage of powerful and scrumptiously delicious men. I love how smart Miki is in this book. The female main character is not a meek girl. Miki is not shy. She's not scared. She's brave and fierce and pleasant, and she happens to fall for two guys who see her for who she is. Then she met her two new bosses. They are wickedly hot, Finn Sanders and Oliver Prescott. They are brilliant, charming, wealthy, successful, and oh-so dangerous. Messing with Miki is the last in the series, and I loved every book in this series. I can't wait to see what Tara has for us next.
Miki does not trust men. Her father cheated on her mother and her ex-husband cheated on her. She won't let it happen again.
Then she met her two new bosses. They are wickedly hot...Finn Sanders and Oliver Prescott. They are brilliant, charming, rich, successful and oh-so dangerous.
Miki has been hired to hack into their systems and destroy their company. But then they found out who Miki was and why she was working for them.
I have loved every book in Tara's 'Playing for Love' series. Tara has the greatest characters and story-lines. If you love great characters and great writing you should check out this series!
This series has been outrageous. Menage. Check....Hot alphas....Check. Unforgettable heroines....check. This is the last of the series. I'm so glad to hear Miki's story. Wow. Finn & Oliver are so deliciously awesome.
Decent read. Really liked the mystery involving the business and how it was solved. The supporting cast was a bit large. Difficult to tell between the two guys.
But there were inconsistencies that bugged me. Like how Finn sends his dear Grandma flowers for Valentine’s Day then says, of Valentine’s Day: “She won’t need flowers in the middle of February to know she’s the most important person in my life.” I get there’s a difference between your Grandma and your girl but that was weird.
Another point Oliver says Miki (weird name for a MacKenzie) is one of the few people he trusts. Does he? Srsly? Because they tracked her down, flew coach, stalked her online, then installed her in their shared CEO/COO office so they could keep tabs. That doesn’t smell like trust.
It’s just strange that her ex’s name is Aaron and they get her an Arron chair.
Loved the quotes at the beginning of every chapter, even if one was repeated.
Do I not destroy my enemies when I make them my friends? — Abraham Lincoln
Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. — Napoleon Bonaparte
No man can reveal to you nothing but that which already lies half-asleep in the dawning of your knowledge. — Khalil Gibran
Americans say people are put in the hospital, not put in hospital.
It was bizarre how Oliver’s ex-wife didn’t use the photos in their divorce. But waited until afterwards. It was also strange how Oliver, presumably over his ex, immediately started drinking when faced with her. But Oliver was something of a dick. His first solo chapter has him kicking out a one night stand.
Also, Claudia’s blackmail came via her attorney? Blackmail is illegal and no lawyer would be the go between and risk their ticket to practice. Unrealistic.
It was never clear just when or if Miki was divorced. She still had to pay her divorce lawyer and at times it sounded like it wasn’t finalized.
It was never explained why the CFO could find out who Miki was on the dark web site but Oliver and Finn, data security experts with connections, couldn’t find out who the mysterious user was.
We are told about their interactions. Shown the sex. But there’s no insight for why they all fall in love. Or rather her for them, then for her.
Okay… where do I begin? Miki is an almost-30-year-old divorcee who was cheated on by Aaron, her soon-to-be ex-husband. In a plane she meets two very handsome men, Oliver and Finn. They chat during the whole flight blah blah blah no news there. But the thing is, she’s a hacker and on her last job she hacked their company and they knew who she was when they talked to her. They wanted to keep in contact with her but she was too hurt (and afraid) about being cheated on, so she didn’t take them up on their offer. Then they meet her anonymously -they decided to keep talking to her to make sure she didn’t hack their company- but she didn’t know who they really were and they became very good friends. Fast-forward 3 months and on her birthday morning Oliver has a woman in his bed. I can’t stand “book heroes” who have sex with women after meeting the heroine, even if they didn’t have any kind of relationship, UNLESS the heroine was getting some too, but no, she spent 3 months suffering, gaining weight and jobless. And it was on her birthday. And they were friends. So that was just a big NO for me. Nope, can’t deal with it.
“After the divorce, I let myself get angry. Bitter. I slept with woman after woman, as if sex was the cure to shattered trust. Miki was on the other side of a computer screen, and because she wasn’t a part of my real life, I let her in.” -Oliver
The book was ruined for me right then, he liked her but was still with other women, still, I finished reading. I’ve read 1 or 2 books by this author before and I can’t remember having this problem but now I just don’t want to read any more, yeah… I’m very disappointed. So that’s the only reason I’m writing this is because I compromised myself on reviewing this….. yup
The rest of the book was actually good. Like 3.5 stars good, but that beginning bugged me too much.

The Nerdy Computer Chick and Her Charming Knights! 5 Merlin and Lancelot Stars!
Messing with Miki is an incredible and captivating story. With Messing with Miki, Tara Crescent has hit it out of the park. This is the 5th book in the Playing For Love series. Every book is a stand alone book. With this series, each of the friends get their own story. Miki has gotten her own story, and what a story it is.
MacKenzie 'Miki' Cooper is on her way back to New York after discovering her husband has been cheating on her. While on the plane, Miki makes a list of things to do to reclaim her life. Two sexy male passengers sit next to Miki and has her questions one of her new rules. The modern-day Viking and the blue eyed drool worthy man talk and flirt with Miki during the long flight.
Oliver Prescott and Finn Sanders are best friends and run a large data security company together. They know that Miki is a computer hacker even if she tells them differently. Oliver and Finn know that Miki has secrets even after they hire her to work for them. Oliver and Finn have secrets of their own. Oliver is not very trusting when it comes to women, because of his ex wife, Claudia. She continues to cause problems for Oliver. He never wants to be vulnerable again.
Can Miki, Oliver and Finn find a happily ever after? Will these three be able to trust each other and find love?
Tara Crescent's books always have a strong, feisty and independent women. There is never a shortage of powerful and scrumptiously delicious men. Messing with Miki has well developed characters, an intriguing storyline, romance, and love. This story will have you engrossed from the beginning to the end. As in all the books by Tara, the reader will believe in and root for the characters. I have loved very story by Tara, especially the menage romances. I highly recommend this story.
Overall Story - 5 Stars Chemistry - 5 Sizzling Stars POV - Alternating POVs Menage - Yes (MFM) HEA - Yes Cliffhanger - NO Series - 5th book in the series (stand alone) Recommend to Others - Hell Yes I volunteer for this ARC. This is my honest review. I also purchase the book.
Well in true Tara style, she has created another steamy read that will not allow you to put it down until you reach the end - so you have been warned!!!
Although book five in the series and the final instalment, it is stand alone but I would highly recommend reading the previous four simply because it's Tara Crescent and you can't go wrong! This one is Oliver, Finn and Miki's story and as Tara states...is ALL about the woman and boy does this woman have some issues to overcome first!
Miki is a woman struggling with her past experiences with the opposite sex and letting her down. She is determined to never be placed in a position where she can be hurt again but in lands Oliver and Finn to ruin all her best laid plans in more ways than one! This one is a bit more suspense in nature than others and it does have an element of will they, won't they, as despite their obvious attraction and amazing chemistry, there are some secrets that are eventually revealed that could risk it all for all of them in more ways than one!
A steamy, sexy and sinful read.....cold showers a must as usual! Sad to see it come to an end but hopeful for future releases by Tara!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book
This is the 5th and final book in the Playing for Love series. All previous heroines from the other stories are in this book and they come together to help Miki get her groove back. She certainly does! She wins the boyfriend lottery when she stumbles upon 2 hot millionaires on a plane. They fall for each other almost instantly even though they try to guard that from happening because they have been hurt in the past. She's a cute little hacker that breaks through the walls built around these two dominant yet sweet sexy men who own a tech security firm. The only problem is that they are all keeping secrets. This author sure writes an excellent story. It's a feel good book that makes me want to pop some popcorn, grab a soda and curl up under my blanket in my PJ's and fuzzy socks so I can enjoy the show. I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery, the characters, and definitely the sexy scenes. I also like that the author puts famous and not so famous inspiring quotes at the start of each chapter. The editor also did a good job as there were very few pesky errors. Another winner for Tara Crescent. I will definitely recommend this one. So....Read the book. 😊
Where do yoy draw the line? It's a question that Miki Cooper faces when she's solicted to hack a busuness for the wrong reasons. However, her recent divorce has her reeling and bleeding cash. Oliver prescott and Finn sanders know exactly who Miki is because she accomplished what no one had before. She breached their suppoedly impenetrable security. In this case, the old saying, keep your friends close and your enemies closer certainly holds true. They need to keep an eye on Miki in order to determine just exactly what she's up to. She ends up working for Finn and Oliver but her conscience keeps her from really doing the dirty work that she was initially approached to do by an anonymous person. What neither Fiinn nor Oliver nor Miki counted on was developing feelings for each other especially since both Finn and Miki had recently been divorced and wanted nothing more to do with love or relationships. It takes revealing that some truths and admitting feelings in order for the three to start working together to take down this person who would destroy the company built by Finn and Oliver. But keeping Miki safe is their number one priority.
I had been eagerly waiting for Miki's story and it was well worth the wait! From the first meeting on the airplane until the very end of the book I loved the relationship that is built between Miki, Oliver and Finn. The back and forth between the secrets that were being held kept me nervous for what would happen but I had faith that they deserved to all be together. I had read the other books in the Playing for Love series and had always admired the determination that Miki showed. She seemed to create a change in Oliver and Finn from their former workaholic selves into men that had a better balance of work and relaxation. They in turn make sure Miki takes time to take care of herself as well as work. They were really such a fun relationship to watch grow. I enjoyed the book and can't wait to read what the author writes next.
I have loved all the Playing for Love books in the series and I am unhappy to see them end. This last book in the series gives us Miki finally. Miki hooks up with Finn and Cooper as Miki works for them so she can hack into their very secure security system to obtain info for her sister's cheating hubby and to get a client list for an unknown, that is willing to pay very well for the list. We get to see Bailey, Gabby, Piper and Wendy again for the farewell book, it was GREAT to have them all together again.y Check out Messing with Miki, you don't have to read the other books to read Miki's story, it is a stand alone but reading the previous books will give you not only the background of the girlfriends but you'll get 4 more hot menages to read too!
Miki's caught her husband cheating on her and she decided to leave Houston and move to New York near her friends. She's a computer hacker and a dam good one. She hack into a system two men thought couldn't be hacked.
Finn and Oliver own their business and travel from Houston to New York. While on the plane they meet Miki. There's an instant connection between the three but their not looking for anything serious.
Miki goes to work for Finn and Oliver. Miki's trying to destroy Finn and Oliver but does she really want to? The sexual tension is high between Miki, Finn and Oliver but is Miki ready for a new man or better yet two hot Alpha men?
Messing with Miki is the last in the series and I loved every book in this series. Can't wait to see what Tara has for us next. A must read for ménage lovers.
Miki is trying to start her life over after discovering her husband cheating on her. On the plane ride, she is seated between two hunky guys that have an ulterior motive for running onto her. Finn and Oliver are trying to figure out the girl that cracked their code before their company goes public. After the flight is over, Miki has no intention of ever seeing them again. But other people have control over the situation. Somebody is out to get Finn and Oliver and she is going to help them. During her eventual employment for the company, they fall in love with each other. But the relationship isn't meant to be with all the lies all of them are hiding. Will the truth set them free to love? I absolutely love all of Tara Crescent's books. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Messing with Miki was a wonderful blend of romantic suspense and love involving a MFM relationship. Finn and Oliver are the owners of a company about to go public. Miki is a talented hacker, recently divorced. Miki, Finn and Oliver find themselves in a threesome that rocks their world. However, they all have secrets to keep, and when those secrets are exposed, will they survive the fallout? I loved the POVs of the characters which gave me good insight into their personalities. The sex was scorching hot, and the plot was woven in a very engaging way. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This is the final installment in the Playing For Love series and wow, Tara has saved the best for last. This is an awesome book that was a page burner. Miki is by far my favorite character of the entire series, I love how smart and bold she is. I love her fearlessness and Oliver and Finn are just delish. Yum! The other characters in the Playing For Love series make a pretty good appearance in the book, it is great to catch up with everyone. If you are going to read just one book in the Playing For Love series, make it Messing with Miki!
Loved Miki, Oliver, and Finn! I think this story is my favorite out of all of them. But I am sad to see these girls go.
Miki is leaving her life behind and heading to New York. While on the plane she meets Oliver and Finn. While you feel the heat coming off this story it really brings you right into it. I loved all three characters and it was great to see the others also. I will miss everyone and will reread these books again and again. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
Miki, Finn and Oliver are a super threesome and their trials and tribulations are well fleshed out. I have really enjoyed this series as the heat has been around an interesting story that has a hint of suspense and an air of mystery as opposed to all heat! If you like this genre then this one is for you and I recommend you read all 4 books in the series. They all stand alone however you will derive just a little more pleasure reading them all. 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars is my take.
I have enjoyed this book with Miki, Oliver & Finn and their whole story and knew who the bad guys were and why. I have to say this whole series (5 books) have been better than I thought they would be. I know when we usually see ménage stories sex plays the biggest part. However even though there is lots of sex scenes in the 5 books there has been a good underlying story, this one was especially good with the backhanded dealings of trying to ruin the men. It’s been good to have an interesting story alongside all the sex scenes.
1.5 stars. Terrible. Terribly boring. Terrible FMC that I didn’t care about. Honestly the males were terrible. Finn less so than Oliver. A terrible amount of editing/grammar errors in the copy I read from KU. Wrong character names in some places for the scenes. The “mystery” is no mystery. It’s obvious to anyone who can read the first 35% of this book who dunnit. Wondering how I got through the rest of this series. This wasn’t good. It’s a skimmer or skip to the last 5 chapters. The epilogue sucks and is pointless.
Sadly this is the last book in the series Playing for Love. This is the story of Miki, Finn and Oliver. All of them are very likeable and easy to relate to. They have great interaction and there a little bit of everything in this book. There is suspense, funny moments, tender moments and very sexy ones. I love that Tara puts a quote at the beginning of each chapter; it sets the tone for that chapter. I really enjoyed this series and I am sad to see it end
Loved this fast-paced steamy ménage read! This is the final book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. Miki has trust issues and is done with men, however when she meets her new bosses Oliver and Finn she finds she is attracted to them. All three have secrets that can destroy them will they find a way to make this unique relationship work? Lots of suspense and drama, the story had me hooked from beginning to end and the sex is off the charts hot. I loved it!
Love this series! Romance Mystery with Lots of Heat
I love reading anything that Tara Crescent writes but if it is one of her Menages...you can bet that it is a book that will be more than once.
Messing with Mikki is the last book contemPlating for Love series. Each book is a stand alone but the main characters of each book are best friends. This book is well written, has really good hidden mystery and oh yes hot guys.
Ah, the fifth and final book in the series - it is a five star experience when you read this one. Yes, it is a menage, and yes, those scenes with the three of them are hot, but I felt like the storyline was the most important part of this book. The story is so well written, and it really keeps your attention from page one all the way to the end. Tara Crescent really finished this series with a winner! I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and I highly recommend it.
Miki meets two handsome men on a flight after leaving her marriage in shambles. These two men are in the Hunt for a person who hacked into their system. Did I mention that Miki is a hacker? Great ending book for a series of menage. Loved each book, they weren't built just in sex, but had a good story behind them. I read this through the KU program.
I’m going to miss these girls, their boys and their exploits which are so different to my own life! Tara Crescent’s background knowledge and research into each area such as hacking, anthropology, restaurants and construction has brought great depth to all the books. I’m guessing these been research for the sexy paragraphs too which would have been much more fun lol I’m moving on to Club Ménage now
This one was interesting as all 3 of the people were hiding what they knew. Of course Oliver and Finn were hiding everything, while Miki was parts. She told everything to the guys, but unknowingly. You just knew that was going to blow up in all their faces and sure enough it did. It's a good thing that after some time to think, all of them realized they were being played by a different person and they worked together to take that person down. It was so nice to see.
