I've just finished reading this and to be honest, I'm not quite sure what to say about this one. If your keeping up with this series, then you've already met Charlie and Xander, and if not, then...what are you waiting for lol. Up until now, Charlie and Xander's relationship has been fairly tame. Well tame for BDSM. That all changed with this book. So has their relationship. It's gotten deeper. On both sides. You can feel the love they have for each other on every page. But. With each page read you can also see something happening. What? Sorry can't go into that lol. You'll have to read to find out the why's/when's/and hows, lol. Change it does though in lots of ways. This book also gets deeper into the lifestyle. All of which gets explained by the author, brilliantly I might add to someone new to this genre of books. But I digress once again lol. This book at times, made me squirm, made me uncomfortable at others. Made me laugh out loud at other times. It's all those things rolled into a very interesting book. It takes you Way out of maybe your own comfort zone and makes you think of everything you only thought you knew about this lifestyle. Maybe after reading any of his books, you'll decide hey, this lifestyle may not be for me, or maybe you'll say sign me up lol. Either way. Whichever way you choose, dont let the name fool you, because Struggle is just one of those books that should be titled ... Omg! What did I just read! And how fast can I read it again!

Wow this book is so intense. Xander and Charlie are one dynamic couple. This book had me on a really great emotional journey with them. I don't do spoilers, but holy farm. Drew really knows how to bring you into their world and keep you locked in. The writing and flow of this book is perfect. I absolutely recommend this book.

Struggle by Drew A. Lennox is another of those books that just got away from me, the delicious third act of a wonderful BDSM romance. Having followed Charlie and Xander through their first tentative explorations of the lifestyle, and having watched her accept his collar, we have been witness to the most tender, patient, and loving aspects of dominance and submission. Here, we begin to explore the darker edge of BDSM, to descend deeper into the lifestyle and appreciate just how much trust it tied up in their love.

We get to explore the complexity of pain as pleasure, and we even get to see Charlie wield the whip. There is humor to this chapter as well, with the discovery of a collar by Charlie's parents leading to a conversation that had tears rolling down my cheeks. There are plenty of erotic moments to interweave with the romantic ones, and much to my delight we get to see Charlie find her way into subspace, which I think Lennox described beautifully, including the aftercare and coming down.

Another fantastic book by Drew A Lennox- Struggle is the third book in the series and a pleasure to read. I say this with all Drew’s books, but I simply love his writing! As someone who knew nothing but was curious about the BDSM lifestyle, I started to read Edge, Drew’s first book in the series. I found myself emerged and enjoying everything I read. After this came Feather, which certainly didn’t disappoint at all. And now Struggle has Charlie and Xander further along in their relationship- a relationship that is built on trust, understanding, patience, complete openness and of course love and respect. The way Drew writes, I find myself able to easily read through, truly enjoying the experience as I go along. He explains everything you want to know about the BDSM lifestyle, so clearly.
I am eagerly waiting for the fourth book in this series but will be sad if it’s the final one, since I’ve come to love Charlie and Xander’s story, their adventures, the growing pains they experience, as well as the humour they have in their life. Beautifully written, I recommend this series to anyone who has a curiosity or an interest, keen or otherwise, in the BDSM lifestyle. ~ Angie❤️

Author Drew Lennox always delivers while reading his book. He has a unique style for the BDSM lifestyle!!
This is the third book in the series and he does not disappoint.
Charlie and Xander finally move in together, everything is going awesome until his friend brings up something he is interested in, now its peaked Charlie's interest also!
Will this interest be the end of a relationship that has really just started?

What can I say but that I have enjoyed diving into the world of BDSM and learning quite a bit. Charlie and Xander's relationship has developed but as in this one TRUST and honesty are of utmost importance when entering the lifestyle. You need to be able to communicate with your partner when you are not feeling something.

All I can say is that I have learned a lot but certainly not all about the lifestyle and that is a whole new world than what society has been given with movies and other books. Drew has done a fantastic job in how Xander explains this whole new world to Charlie. But I have to say the surprise visit has to be the best part and I felt Charlie's horror when it came to explaining the Collar... Oh the stories that will come from that. I am excited to see how the conclusion of their story ends.

WOW.. Struggle lives up to its title. Once in a relationship the Struggle to keep it going really hits home for Xander and Charlie. The dynamics in their relationship comes full circle in both understanding the new rules in place as well as what is expected from each other. While each adjust to living together and taking their relationship to new heights, they both must remember that the most basic rules from vetting time still need to be followed.

Struggle has all the feels that make for a great book. You follow Xander and Charlies journey through their eyes. Amazing story!

One of the reasons I love Drew's books, is that all his characters are so realistic that you can see them as your friend, your neighbor or even a co-worker. His characters are developed, that you can relate to how they are feeling or what they are going through. Struggle is just one more that I would recommend to any that is looking for a book that leaves you hangover and wanting more.

Struggle is the third book in the Discovering BDSM series and Lennox doesn't fail, not once.

One thing I've loved about these books is that it isn't based on the sexual part of the lifestyle but focuses on the emotional part of it, the bond that Xander and Charlie share. I think everyone wishes they could have that type of relationship, that bond, maybe not in the BDSM world but in life in general. I sure do.

I fall more in love with Xander with each book. Charlie makes me smile. They both make me laugh with their relationship. Charlie struggles in this book with something and Xander fails to see it. That never happens, right? You must read to find out what happened.

Lennox, really? Another cliffhanger? Rolls my eyes at you.

Passion_ Strength_ and Uncertainty 🔥

Charlie and Xander's journey into BDSM continues, with their love and bond growing stronger. They explore new depths, facing challenges and intense sensual experiences. When Charlie struggles, thinking she's not meeting Xander's needs, they take a step back and reassess, leading to a deeper understanding of each other.
A gritty, loving, and captivating story that you might really enjoy.

I was going to knock my review back to 2 or even 1 star based on the frankly gratuitous and disgusting depiction if what is described as C/NC. If there is no consent then acts of this nature are basically criminal assault, rising to manslaughter or murder as there is the casual mention of people having died.

The only thing that pulled the book back is that the relationship between Xander and Charlie is no longer based on a less than subtle form of brainwashing and is now far more normal with Xander even demonstrating insecurities.

Wow. To me this book was very intense and you could feel the struggle that Charlie was going through. I am glad Xander was very understanding and was willing to take a step back and really work on their relationship. This is a cliff hanger and I do hope they work everything out in the next book. Excellent book and enjoy.
