What happens when you're confronted with everything you've ever wanted?
Ethan is a modern day renaissance man with a broken past and enough baggage to fill an airport. When he's confronted with a ghost from his past, he has to decide whether to risk his heart or become the monster he has been accused of being.
What happens when you realize there is more to someone than you thought?
Aggie worked for Ethan's ex-wife long enough to feel like she knows him. She was wrong though. When faced with a man who has been hurt so deeply by so many, she has to decide if reality is worth fighting for. Even if all they ever are is friends.
This is a sweet and clean contemporary retelling of Hephaestus and Aglaea.
S. R. Nulton has a love of fairy tales, paddle boarding, and puns. In addition to writing, she has a degree in music from Cal Poly. In addition to being a total homebody, she is a voracious reader, descent line dancer, and a chocolate enthusiast. Her family collects people that share the same name, so she goes by Sarah Rose to avoid confusion. Do not confuse her with the other Sarahs. They are numerous. Lastly, she feels weird writing about herself in the third person. Therefore, Vin decided to spruce up Sarah Rose’s bio and agrees that it is strange to write about someone like this.
Solid read, excellent premise. Huge fan of Greek mythology. Editing errors (th instead the, an instead of and) that were noticeable.
The book is a retelling of Hephaetus’ second marriage to Aglaea. It’s a redemption story where the H learns that not everyone is out to get him. It was hard to get a clear picture of the H. Could have used some more detail about the scarring. The h is honest and real. She doesn’t keep secrets on why she around, and what needs to get done. The family drama is a bit much, and I was a little confused by JJ outburst/visit. It does even out toward the end.
Author continues to show growth, and while it’s a good read, I’m slightly more invested in the Refurbished Fairy Tales series she has going on. But, will honestly read anything she puts out. :)

I love this book. The story is so sweet. There were hard things that they had to overcome, but it was a very satisfying ending. There were also the bits of humor sprinkled through out the story. I think I have now read all of the novels this author has available. Can't wait for more. As always, I really appreciate that this is a clean and wholesome book.
Contains: mentions of infidelity, kisses. I liked the MCs and their relationship. I thought it was fun to have a modern story based on mythology. It is one of those books where the FMC writes in first person but then it is in third person for the MMC. I liked the first person writing but the third person seemed overly narrative. To me, it felt like those old detective shows where there is a voice over describing what is going on.
I thoroughly enjoyed this modern-day take on Greek mythology. S.R. Nulton has done a great job here in making this a completely believable story, with characters that are very relatable. I would not feel uncomfortable recommending this book to any of my younger friends.
