At the moment there were just the two of them in the office but only a shout away were several younger enforcers, who were keen to remove the old dude thought to be blocking their upward advancement in the ranks. He has curly terrier fur covering pink and black polka-dotted skin and long silky Spaniel ears. His front paws are larger than his back ones and his sense of smell is extraordinary.

I have a very diverse, some might say eccentric, work history that frequently sneaks into the backstory of my main characters. I have been a bank clerk, antique store owner, ambulance attendant, volunteer firefighter, supervisor of a cutting-edge transit control center, partner in a Canadian micro-brewery, partner in an awarding winning bed and breakfast, and a hotel manager.

The 4th in the series about Isla, Yasmin and Carlos finally get married while a Cancun drug cartel carries out its revenge. This spine tingling thriller is a wild ride dealing with sex trafficking, drug smuggling, crooked cops and cartel protocol. A couple of my friends make cameo appearances, namely Capt. Tony and Tiffany, the wedding planner. All ends well but the door remains open for more mysteries ahead!

Temptation Isla is Lynda L. Locke’s fourth book and her BEST in this series. We have learned to love her characters Yasmin, Carlos, Jessica, Sparky and all the others. Those of us who have visited Isla Mujeres enjoy visiting the familiar places that we love, if only on paper. However, the reader need not know anything about this island paradise to enjoy how these characters fall into trouble at the craziest times and places in their lives. I believe that, after reading these books, the reader may well want to visit the island, which is far safer than depicted in these books. Lynda is honest in describing some of the problems facing Isla, such as storms, petty theft, and corruption. She also lovingly describes the beauty of the Mayan people - both physical beauty and inward beauty - their love of family, the sea, and the island they inhabit. I unhesitantly recommend this entire series, acknowledging that book one is the first published book by this author and that each book gets better. I am anxiously waiting for book five.

I try to stretch out the Isla Mystery series because it brings me back to Isla Mujeres when I’m missing it the most, but with Book 5 arriving any day, I couldn’t wait any longer!!. Once again, Lynda has laid out a great story mixed with romance, friendship and crime solving (and who couldn’t love the Sparkinator). Some books take you a couple of chapters to “get into” the story. Lynda’s pull you in right from the start. Another job well done, Lynda 😊

A Real Page Turner!

I've enjoyed every book in Lynda Lock's mystery/ adventure series set on Isla Mujeres , but you won't be able to put Temptation Isla down once you start it! The adventures of Yazmin and Jessica continue in this new book with a twist involving the cartel and human trafficking. You're gonna love this one!!!

In this fourth book of the Isla Mujeres Mysteries, Jessica, Sparky and Yasmin are dragged into a confrontation with the Cancun drug cartel. Once again the setting is a charming setting in the Mexican Caribbean. A delightful read that leaves the reader wanting more!

This series just gets better as it goes. I now know there are 6 books, not 5, and I have ordered them from Amazon. Have to wait until I am home to read the rest!
