A good primer on MS. Interesting says something that was the opposite of something I'd read elsewhere--that getting MS later is life was a positive (meaning, the MS would likely not be as severe).

The author definitely looks through the African American lens a lot, meaning, the plight of African Americans with MS seemed to feature heavily in her book and she posited that MS affects them more ... interesting. That said, I think it highlighted the lens of the author rather than the disease of MS--for me this was a slight distractor.
