A different book. I can safely say I haven't read anything like it till now.

In a crisp writing style D.W. gives us action from cover to cover. We get a badass team alternate realities and interdimensional travel that take the reader from one hot spot straight into another.

But don't think for a minute you can just sit back and read this short novel at super speed. You need to read it slower and pay attention. Because if you don't, you'll be left on the sidelines and not get head or tail out of the story.

An eighty foot teady bear running rampart in a city and a cool team trying to stop it from leveling buildings and to see where it came from. It makes no sense you say?! Well, actually it does but you're gonna have to read this to find out how.

If you love full out action given in an almost snappy writing style and are in a mood to try something original and completely different, you should definitely give this book a try.

A sci-fi with great world building. And a cliffhanger.
I liked the characters, and the way the chapters were set up. But not the cliffhanger.
However, I purchased a copy for myself.
Received this ARC and am leaving an honest review.

An unusual and different book and that is a good thing. I read a lot, and I sometimes get tired of the same old structure, as if every book is secretly created by some artificial intelligence that knows all the rules; how to poke you in the ribs or slap you round the face, so you can read it in half-daze on a beach, while sipping a Pinacolada and keeping one eye on the strange man talking to your kids as they paddle, but not how to challenge the reader in any way, shape or form. Fear not! Out in the Bright, Bright light is here to change all that!
The editing is snappy to the point of, at times, fierce concentration. Our intrepid heroes leap from one 'trespass' disaster to the next, exchanging a constant humorous banter, that brings a smile. I personally developed a bit of a thing for Farrell, while admiring Chapman, and why did it have to end. Where's the next one DW? Get on with it, man!

I normally shy away from sci-fi novels, if only because many of the books out there are just too intimidating. With over 1000-plus pages of world-building and techno-babble, it’s far too easy for the characters, the plot, and the actual story to simply get lost in the middle. DW Watson’s “Out in the Bright Bright Light”, however, is the exact opposite. This short novel just seemed much more approachable than traditional sci-fi, almost as if it was written for a wider YA audience. Also, both the tight writing style and crisp editing are a pleasant break from many other indie books, which often seem hastily thrown together.

I particularly enjoyed the memorable band of characters, though. They held the story together until the very end… or should I say, until the very beginning?

This is a series of short 'episode' style chapters based upon a set of characters working for a paranormal security service organization, much like 'Men in Black' but set in Britain. Because of this format, the author feels they can skip on plot and character development; all is extremely shallow and played for laughs. The tales are further hampered by the incorrect vocabulary and incomplete sentence structure. What could have been classic British snark is instead incoherence.

Let's just say that when the main characters are suddenly tossed into a mighty cliff-hanger on the final page, I was glad to see them go.

This is my true take on a copy I received through StoryOrigin.
It is not a romance or even much of an adventure.

D.W. Watson paints a strange, fun, and actiony picture of Earth’s future in Out in the Bright Bright Light! After an event called The Loss devastates the defense force protecting Earth, it falls to a motley trio to save the planet from everything from space time breaches to even deadly teddy bears. Watson’s writing is just fun and packed with enough action to keep you zipping to the end! If you love a fast-paced novel laced with a healthy dose of humor, Out in the Bright Bright Light is for you!

It takes an extremely long day to read this weird semi-contemporary dystopian science-fiction fantasy featuring Chapman, Ferrell, and Nunn, which does have a few chortles-out-loud, but to say more would risk spoilers. I had a review copy via StoryOrigin and this is my voluntary review.
