“If he could drive me to release so easily with his fingers, I couldn’t begin to imagine his skill with his tongue.”
SIERRA ST. JAMES I shouldn’t have anything to do with a dangerous gangster like Oliver. I let his olive green eyes and his rippling muscles get the better of me. One night was all it should have been… But men like Ollie will never let a woman slip through their fingers so easily… Saying goodbye won’t come without a price.
OLIVER COOK
One look at her gorgeous face and round bum and I had to have her. My mates say she’s too much of a good girl to keep ‘round. They say she’ll never understand me… or why I do what I do. One night, I listened to the devil on my shoulder. Now, I’m addicted to a woman too pure to even touch.

I finished the first part of this series and I can say that lack of action is not the problem. From the beginning I felt as if something was missing and it was.The writer does not give you time to know your characters or the way this story is going to go,it's liking coming into the middle of a movie after its started.I can't get a feel for the heroine because I don't know her or the hero. This could be such a good story because all the pieces are there.I'm a little disappointed in this writer because this is not what you usually get.Maybe the next installment will be better.
3.50 Stars (BW/WM). Audible Romance Pkg. book with narration by Debbie Dixon) I tried this series because it featured a Black woman and because it is an audiobook; however, I did not know that it is part of a 10 book series-I will only read installments that are in an audiobook format. The storyline is rather simple and straightforward; but because it's narration is with a British accent, it sounds a lot more interesting than it really is. The protagonists, Sierra St. James, a youth councilor who because her brother had been killed due to gangs is determined to guide her clients to a life style that doesn't involve gangs...she has a particular interest in helping the young man who reminds her of her deceased brother. Oliver Cook, is part of the hierarchy of a mafia organization known as The London Brotherhood and Oliver has a special interest in the same young man that Sierra wants to protect. Sierra and Oliver meet when she and the young man are attacked by his ( the young man) sister's boy friend's gang. Oliver warns Sierra to stay away from the lad, she does, Oliver abducts Sierra and they become intimate, she gets pregnant and Oliver is believed to have been killed. Cliffhanger!
I am new to this author, and I rather liked the story. It took a minute to get adjusted to the writing, but once I did it flowed easily. Sierra, a youth counselor, gets attached to a young man name Malik. I like that she is passionate about her job. When she runs into and meets gangster, Oliver Cook, all things change. She is the “good girl” and he’s a thug. Every girl loves a bad boy:-) I would have liked them to get know each other a little more, but the steaminess between them was hot. Can’t wait to read the remaining installments.
I received a ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
Ms. Jasper is a new author for me. This book took getting to the end of the book for it to become somewhat interesting. I put it down several times so it took a while to finish it. The book doesn't offer much to engage you with... and the plot seems to be quite a challenge to figure out. The writing style did not appeal to me, but it could work for other readers. The characters are not memorable and the story reads as if its about 2 or 3 guys who wish they could be in the mafia when they grow up. I am not interested enough to read book two.
At first reading it was a little difficult to understand some of the words because of the dialect. I had go back and re-read sentences to understand what the character was saying. I had to stop reading several times and it took me longer to read it. This book did not keep my interest, plus I am not a fan of the killing and kidnapping. I am not interested enough to read any other books in this series.
I received an Advanced Copy of my mafia romance release, London Brotherhood I for my honest review.
The book was alright. I hate saying that bc it was nicely orchestrated but the plot moved too slow stone point then it moved way too fast. The timeline of critical events were to jumbled together. The ending was a mouth-popped open surprise reaction which means book 2 will allow the author to wow us and possibly redeem herself. Lol this book is worth a look into, but have an open mind and move with the author as she unfolds each page.
Sierra is a counselor who works with children at risk and has taken interest in one child in particular, Malik. They are attacked one day and Oliver and another come to their aid they also are interested in getting Malik in their gang. One look at Oliver and Sierra body has turned on her. She is attracted to him although she knows this is a bad idea.

This is not my first read with this author; Jamila's plot and characters are constantly engaging. The story's pace is fast, and some scenes are hurried or glossed over. There are also mistakes in logic throughout the story that the editor should have picked up, but they don't take anything away from the overall story. This is the first in a series (10?), and I am in until the end as I know it will only improve.
He knows she is too good for him but it will not stop him trying. She is such a good girl so why does he make her want him. He is a gangster and she wonders if they could have a go? What is one night is not enough? See what will happen

Already I am intrigued by Ollie and Sierra 'a story. It seems like an unholy alliance. Sierra has been thrust into Ollie's world. She is attracted to this man but also scared of him. And all he represents. Full of action...can't wait to read the next installment. I voluntarily read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
I expected more from the book. I feel like book #2 can be joined to this one, as it is only just over 100 pages long. I did not get the connection between the two main characters, but went along with the story to see where it goes.... just a bit disappointing after I thought there would be lots more in the book.
Fast paced, fast connection! Tough talking Sierra has no back home when she is in the clutches of the dangerous gang leader Ollie! Luv this cliff hanger ! Grabbing book I'm right now! Talk to you later!
This is the story of Sierra and Oliver. I unfortunately did not enjoy this book and I am usually a fan of the author. There was something missing. With a little bit of work this will be a great boom.
I received this book as an Arc and I am reviewing it voluntarily.
Just ok A good start to a new series. It seemed like as soon as everything started the book ended. A little stilted at times but the bare bones is a pretty good story.
The London Brotherhood 1: A BWWM Mafia Romance (The BWWM Romance Brotherhood Book 1)
Book started off kind of slow but picked up. Everything thing is not what it seems. The characters are very interesting. This cliff hanger has me wanting to read book2.
I've read this author's work before, however this one did not really cut it for me. I love how this author always seem to write good interracial characters, but this story was a little slow. I do want to read book 2 to know what happened to Ollie.
