When a ten-year-old boy commits a murder to avenge the death of his Mother, he only has his mentally-ill, homeless guardian to save him. But, what if he never really existed? "Ronnie" - the first psychological thriller by Elliot Simon.
It is good but I wouldn’t really consider it a ‘book’. It’s more like part one of a much longer book. I hope I have the opportunity to read the rest of it once it is completed, but I question the author’s decision to release such a small portion of it.
That said it took me longer than it probably should with my background to figure out what was going on. I’m very intrigued as I’ve always been interested in this and never though to read a novel written in this fashion. It will be very interesting to see where the author takes it from here.
I was provided with a free copy of this installment from a Goodreads giveaway, but the views expressed here are entirely my own.
In 22 pages of the first installment of "Ronnie," I grew attached to each character. I am really looking forward to the second part of this book. Also wasn't expecting the twist to the end. Or the middle, for that matter!
This book was super short and super quick. I think I would have liked it better as a complete short story, but it seems that it is going to be a series. It was too short to catch my attention really for just the small amount that was included.
