Death or redemption. One way in. One way out. Each crew member of the Zephyrs has something they're unwilling to face and everything to lose. Emeryss has yet to reach her family, but she's reluctant to leave Grier's side. Grier is eager to put off his matches and prove Stadhold's innocence, but his growing doubt in Keeper traditions is overwhelming him. Clove is desperate to find her twin brother, Cayn, and get back home, but these idiots could kill her for the smallest reason. Adalai will stop at nothing to be the leader she was meant to be, but the Zephyrs are losing respect in her abilities.
The war is at a breaking point, and the Zephyrs must sneak into Ingini to discover what the grimoires are being used for and which country--Stadhold or Revel--is betraying the other. But Ingini is not what it seems, and every decision they make could mean ruin for either country. After learning the secret behind Ingini's new ether-tech, they must choose to walk away and redeem themselves or risk their lives to end the war.

( This is an adult fantasy novel, and as such, there are adult situations depicted, including adult language, violence, romance, alcohol and/or drug use, etc. This is the first book in a series, so although this book's story is complete, it is not a standalone novel.)
The survivors of the desperate mission to Ingini on their way have discovered that their diverse Talents, to cast a wide array of sigils crafted from the Ether, were once much freer to use, as Emeryss does, directly from the Ether plane itself. They also come to realize that they are children of a thoroughly corrupt generation of exploiters at civilization's highest levels.
Their heroic mission feels like a failure. The only thing they can deliver on is the promise to their hostage, the Ingini pilot Clove, to help her track down her missing brother.
Yet with their collaboration, those of them following Emeryss into the ether to cast without grimoires have discovered important, long hidden truths. There may be nobody safe to trust with those truths anymore. But with their help, victims of operations that were supposed to have 'no survivors' instead have living witnesses who will help to spread truths.
All the characters handle it differently, some better than others. It is a spur to follow the tale even as they separate to pursue their goals in their homelands.
AN AMAZING ADVENTURE!!! Delightful! Talk about weaving a tangled web. Ryan absolutely nailed all of the emotions swirling through this bad boy that leaves you reeling and wanting more. Ryan spins it with such a refreshing realism it catapults this bad boy to life effortlessly. Ryan escalates to a whole new level with this compelling storyline and such an intertwined plot. The personalities are well matched and brought together smoothly. The scenes are so graphically detailed it paints an incredible backdrop that feels so realistic it's like you're right there with them. Throw in some twists and turn and a few bumps and bruises as you watch the world light up. Amazing job Ryan, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Architects of Ether, Ryan Muree's 2nd book in her trilogy Kingdoms of Ether, picked up right where the first left us then took us on an wild ride. The team forgot their stuggled to forget their differences, form friendships and alliances all with one common goal--stop the war that could end it all. Tempers rage high as missions get more dangerous. Alliances shift. Eyes are opened to the real world. With just their wits, their skills and mostly their guts, the group faces death to hopefully save lives. The storyline remains fast-paced, filled with danger, intigue, twists and turns, and even a litttle romance. The characters are well-developed and emotionally engaging. I can't wait to read book 3 to see how this all will end!
Wow you are off and running from page one. The characters have developed even more and the world is not what they thought it was. The Ingini are not the baddies they’ve been told they are, all there believes are crumbling around them. Emeryss and Grier are still together but for how long, Clove is helping the Revels, the team has uncovered many things about the war. Can they change the outcome, will they be able to stop the war. All good questions, some are answered some are not. Grab a copy, curl up on your favourite reading spot with your favourite beverage and enjoy. Highly recommend..
Not even sure how to describe what all went on in this book. Tons of magic and a devasting battle. I was in tears afterwards. Plus I was so mad at Adalai in this book. I really liked her in the first book but by the end of this book I was about to revolt along with her crew. Clove really comes into herself. There was so much going on plot wise that the betrayal that was revealed was on epic proportions! Definitely can’t wait to see how that unravels. So many ways this could go especially with the rules of Ether now broken.
So good, I could not put it down! When I finished book 1, I was sad to learn I would have to wait for book 2. Well the wait was worth it! We follow the characters introduced in book 1, as they work together to uncover hidden truths buried by the powers that be. Nonstop action, a dash of romance, and breathtaking world Building! Can’t wait for the next book!
This takes off as the first ends as it pulls you in. The storyline gets more complex and challenging. The characters are getting more developed and you are finding out more as the story keeps you reading to see where it goes. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
A rollercoaster of twist and turns! The story in the second book of The Kingdom of Ether is absolutly breathtaking. The characters are very realistic, all have their faults. I definitely want to read the next book of this series!
