Laker Pride

Rate this book
Football is King in the southern United States. Whether it be middle school, high school, college or pro, football is King. The town of Lake City, Tennessee was no different than any other small southern town on Friday nights. For 39 years Lake City and its surrounding communities had a love affair with its high school football team, the Lake City Lakers. The Lakers won 10 Conference Championships, played in 9 bowl games, 2 state playoff games, and amassed an overall record of 201 wins, 146 losses and 15 ties. They represented their town and communities with pride and gutsy determintation. Almost always under-sized, they earned the love of the community, the students, and their fans. This is their story.
