Yea volume 2!

I've been a fan of this author for a few years now. I think this series is their best work. It's nice to see this officially published rather than relying on fan translations on the net. Let's have volume three soon, please!

I'm liking everything about this even if I would have made some very different decisions as compared to the FMC but that's beside the point. It's fun to see how the author has taken a seemingly simple and straight forward plot and made it something fun.

I like the found family trope the author plays with.
And I absolutely love that the FMC is too clever for her own good. Gosh, that woman cracks me up with her harebrained schemes and plots. I want her to do some things differently but then I've never found an FMC I've ever a hundred percent agreed with so this is no different.

Saving 80000 gold is an entertaining read in which the MC faces the consequences of her actions to protect her home. She becomes a landed noble. Like part 1 it is mostly simple entertainment with little character development or unique world building, but with at least some attention to details whether it is the impact of cultivated pearls or finding fools gold. There is little drama or opposition and humans are depicted a bit too optimistic, but is that not why we bought the book? ;-)

This is probably the funniest light novel series I’ve ever read. With a goal of retirement Mitsuha can’t seem to stop helping and delay her plans.
