If I had a nickel for every time shampoo became a money making commodity in an anime/manga I'd have 2 nickels. It's not a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice (First one was Ascendance of a Bookworm)
Tagging "cat" because the one for the Chapter 17 break is SUPER CUTE even if that's its only appearance. :D (I may be over-tagging some of these reviews...)
Second book, pretty much the same as the first, but plus two panels of ridiculously-censored* bath scenes that are so typically Japan that it's eye-rolly. I don't know if I like this one as much as the first, although it does show some rare fallibility in manga/anime protagonists (). It's fun to read, but it's hardly a masterpiece. Mostly recommended if you like the first book and/or the "light" novel.
*as in, the method of censoring, with the dispenser spigots... pfffffff
